| Wow, the OP is a rendition of OP3 from the TV series. Kinda disappointing that MAL has the wrong info for many of the OVA OPs and EDs. Was looking forward to this episode. Kasumi being possessed pretty much had the same effect I thought it would. And those horns were definitely a reference to Lum. Pretty sad that the next episode is the final OVA, at least from the 1990s. You'd think the series called Ranma 1/2 "Super" would have more episodes. |
| I really liked the idea of Kasumi being possessed and doing bad things, and it was pretty cute and had some funny bits, including a horror-ish segment where she was sharpening a knife in the dark, but unfortunately it wasn’t as good as I thought it would be, the running gag of the oni expert guy forgetting to mention vital information just to elongate the plot kinda annoyed me too. But I did still like the episode, the oni in his near perfect form was cool looking, and the little horns on the people that were possessed was a nice touch too, it was mentioned already but it’s probably a callback to Lum from Urusei Yatsura. And hey I knew I recognized the OP for this one, that was one of the best OPs of the main show so I’m glad it got a new version and was used again here, the ED however was brand new and I really liked it as well. I’m excited to hear the final OP and ED pair for these OVAs in the next one. |
