| It's a pretty silly and immature thing to do. There's never any good reason to do it, and I dislike being tricked. That said, it's not important enough to get worked up about it. | There is no gender on the internet, we're all Ken and Barbie from the waist down. I guess maybe if you're scoping the forums for a girlfriend and want to avoid getting surprise buttsecks then knowing gender is important... then again maybe you like surprises. People lie about/hide their gender in real life too, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't happen online. |
