Did search, there isn't this thread.

Do you believe there are actually active members like that here?
Don't be afraid to take guesses, I personally think Xinil is female, and his pic is fake. But that's just a wild guess with no solid basing.

Do your guesses actually having some grounding or they are just Hur there aren't girls on the internet Dur?

Voice your opinion.

Sorry to burst your bubble OP, but this is the real Xinil. If you are dumb enough to fall for thinking that a user is female, just remember one of the golden rules of the internet.

What's your opinion on people who believe gender has any relevance on MAL?

If people are desperate for attention, I suppose they could claim to be female. All the power to them.

Hur.. just kidding. If I'm ever not sure about someones gender it's based on their personality and the way they type. Though I don't put them on the spot and question them about it. I'm sure they have their reasons for doing it whatever they may be.

It's safe to say gender is usually unspecified until you meet someone in person.

There are no females on the internet. And if there seems to be one, it's most likely a 40year old man, also there is no kids online, but policemen pretending to be kids.

What if I told you the ratio between male and female anime fans are quite even? Oh my God, quite shocking?

One thing I noted from the short time I've been looking here is:
Every active female is either a lesbian or a bisexual
Why is that? Do anime make females gay?

I'm actually female as shown in my profile.
But before you start craving for my P, be warned that I'm fat and ugly, I'm not super experienced in sex nor addicted to it like the majority of active females.

For the challenge of seeing whether you can pull it off.
Just to mess with people.

I've done it before in other online communities back when I was younger. There's nothing inherently wrong with it. Unless you feel it's shameful to be female?

Why would someone lie about their gender? I've been on mal for a few months, and I've never been treated as someone special because I'm a girl. I honestly don't think it matters because this site is not a dating site.

To be honest, there's nothing wrong with mistaking gender. People mistake me for a girl from time-to-time, and it's quite mortifying, actually. But I know where they're coming from so it's nothing to get heated up over.

However, those that try to play the part out..... yeah. What the hell are you thinking?

I suppose males also feel some sort of superiority when playing a female character.

It's a pretty silly and immature thing to do. There's never any good reason to do it, and I dislike being tricked. That said, it's not important enough to get worked up about it. The internet would be a slightly better place if people didn't do it, though.

Welp, time to fix that. I'm a guy. Was playing around on this thread when I said that. Had no idea my profile said I was a female. Was fairly certain that said I was male.

@OP: Some people do lie about their genders. Most notably MellowJello did way back when, but nowadays its not really a thing so much.

Again. It really doesn't matter, because we all came here to discuss about anime and have our anime list. I still don't get why someone would do that unless they're gay..... But it still doesn't make sense because this is not a dating site.

Well, if you're gay, you're not a true man. Therefore, you must be a female.

There is no gender on the internet, we're all Ken and Barbie from the waist down. I guess maybe if you're scoping the forums for a girlfriend and want to avoid getting surprise buttsecks then knowing gender is important... then again maybe you like surprises. People lie about/hide their gender in real life too, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't happen online.
There's no need for all this tension.
