As for me, this was the best ep of the season so far. I really enjoy how the plot develops, at this point there are many possible solutions and the ending is completely unpredictible. Although I'm anything but an Alois fan, I did feel sorry for him in the end and I wonder whether Claude will betray him for good or not. I hope he won't, since this would undermine the idea of the contract with a demon which is the basis of the whole series in a way. "Jeeppu" said: Oh and poor animation. I never noticed that, but perhaps I was too busy with following the plot ^^ |

I haven't watched it yet(I always watch mah anime late at night xD) but from what I've read in the thread, shit went down. Hard. I have a feeling I'll be bawling by the end of the episode, even though I don't find Alois that appealing. I'm not THAT heartless. |

Omg I never imagined that Ciel would/coould stab him! Great, love the plot twist ^^ ghe ghe. But I feel kinda sorry for Alois.. I mean Claude doesn't care about him -even when he's using the "contract" or what that spell sounding thing was- after he tasted Sebastians blood. It was kinda humiliating to see him begging at Ciel, at that moment I was like omg, NO, don't forgive him, if u do you're not the Ciel we know! But luckely for me he was his "old self" xd *yeah I'm kinda sadistic ghe ghe, lol* Arrrgh I loved the ep, but there is way too much fanservice from that maid. I loved the part that Sebastian was dancing with Ciel, fangirl moment, yeay! ^^ I hope we'll get to see Alois past in the next ep, I'm kinda curious. And did he died or is Claude able to save him *willing to save him, more like.. he has to, right? that's the contract* |

I should really stay away from Kuroshitsuji II until the next episode comes out. There's like 5 more days until it comes out and I'm already at the edge of my chair and curious about what happened to Aloiis ~ I just thought of something......what if the whole next episode is just a flashback? And they still don't say what happens to him? I think i will die! |

I'm still confused on this issue, though... If Alois isn't really Alois (and we know that, now) then there's the true heir somewhere out there..right? Then would ciel have to look for the true heir and kill him who also might now have anything to do with ciel's parents murder...o___O But then why did that one guy that Ciel shot confess that the Trancy did order him to burn his house...was he forced to say that or....o__O I hope Ciel will realize that he is manipulated by demons. I am wondering also if the heir of Trancy Household had anything to do with the murder. Beside the real heir must be around Ciel and Jim's age (otherwise it would be suspicious to everyone when "Alois" came back) and I just can't believe that someone so young could plan something like that. Maybe his father or someone else from the family... o.O Or it could be just prepared by Sebastian and Claude to make it more believable... If demon's prepared it they could threaten him to confess. Or maybe I'm thinking too much... It could be that Trancy DID kill him....but it wasn't the boy, it was his father, or someone else working for the family....leading to the thought that it is all Alois's fault |

Seriously guys, Alois or Jim, whatever the f*** his name is, is not going to die. They still kinda need him for the plot. Claude, I knew I hated you for a reason. Triplets, I knew I loved you guys for a reason. (other for being triplets) Now, what I'm more concerned with is that the next episode is called "confessing butler" and in the preview Sebastian says "As a Phantomhive butler, how can I not whisper a word of love or two" (fangirl moment :3) |

Well, I think that it really is the case, but it would be more logical to me that Alois survives, because death of that much important character should be shown in the same episode. Well, it kinda is, but it's just not it, not enough "drama" or explanation... When Ciel "died" at the end of the 1st episodes, it wasn't shown totally, so we still had to guess is he dead or alive. So, same here, if he is dead, it wouldn't end like this and we all would be sure is he really dead. This way, we can all awake empathyfor him and start to like Alois even more and follow him through episodes(at least those of us who don't hate him). It's all about drama. Perhaps, maybe I'm wrong :P |

I dislike Alois for stabbing Hannah's eye out and such, but the poor boy never deserved to die like that. I didn't like Ciel in this episode, not because he stabbed Alois, but more because I'm confused. Ciel isn't normally like this, /normally/ Sebastian has to do the job. Also, he had this weird glint in his eye, made him look creepy. And.. Hannah- WTF? Seriously. -.- Is she a shinigami? :/ Grell's mom? XD jk :p And it DOES seem those triplets are demons, since they have the eyes and all and there went something through their head. :'] Anyway~ I was, like, 'noooooeeesss, Alois, don't die! I don't like you, but you don't have to die either! *sad face*' He really looked sad too. I don't think he's dead now though. :/ It would be too quick imo. :/ Also, what will Claude do? (and the other servants???) Doesn't he need a contract? :/ Weird, weird, weird. --- I love EarlCiel's comments btw. :] |

I actually quite enjoyed this episode. ^^ -Druitt--needs to go away. (Though he can leave his blue lobster hat. :P) -Hannah--(see: Druitt)--And that sword retrieval scene was major ick. -The triplets going back to work w/ the spear through their heads--O.o -The food fight=awesomeness -Loved the scene where Claude asks Sebastian, "Have your demonic senses weakened after devoting so much to that human's soul?" (Still not sure how Sebby managed to seemingly back up into the slice-y web of doom, though..) -Liked how during the duel, when Ciel was going to turn around early, Alois was already waiting. Heh. -I wonder why Alois wants Sebbykins to suffer so badly..He keeps mentioning how he wants Sebastian to suffer painfully & I wonder if Alois has something personal against Sebastian or if it's that he's just that sadistic..? -I'm also kinda wondering why Claude stopped mid-"Yes, Your Highness" when Ciel told Sebastian to stay back--it wasn't like the command was directed at him. It kinda seemed like Claude went from shocked to impressed & then decided, 'Hm, let's just see how this plays out..' But then, he ends up stopping Ciel anyway..so.. -I seriously thought that Alois pleading w/ Ciel was just a ploy to distract Ciel so that Alois could do something horrible to him in turn. I was seriously waiting for him to suddenly get that evil expression on his face & pull out a dagger or go after Ciel's eye or something. >_< But..seems like he was actually being sincere so I feel a little bad for him. And finally, I have to say, this episode made me like Claude more. (Even if he went a little freaky there for a bit at the end. XP) |

Hmm, again.. Some people needs to calm down and stop double posting all the time. :/ Or saying things not related to the episode. And, why do people seem to shocked about Sebby lying to Ciel? And shocked by the fact that this anime might not have a happy ending. You should be prepared for this by the first episode. Sebastian is a demon, so of course he would lie. And happy ending? I mean, c'mon.. in Kuroshitsuji.. ? Meh. As lovely as it may have been, I do not think a happy ending is that possible. But I will be heartbroken, if it turns out that Alois(Yes, I refuse to call him Jim, so shadup.) is dead. He's a strong character, unique and it would be a shame to kill him off already. |

It's because ever since the second season started, all the characters started acting differently. :/ It's probably because Ciel "lost his memories" and Sebastian just REALLY wants Ciel to get revenge, eat him, and get over with it..but Claude's in the way of it. Sometimes double posting is necessary, only because not a lot of people (like I do) read every single post. Some just come in and type about what they though, directly..which has nothing wrong with it of course, but they might not be certain of things..also relating to other episodes and looking onto future episodes also has to do with discussion, infact discussion has no limits. ^^' But, I do agree about being heartbroken if Alois just dies off. He was a unique and interesting character. OnyxEyes3- I think Alois wants Sebastian to suffer because he has an interest in him. In episodes 5 & 6 he did keep saying how Claude was even more extraordinary than Sebastian, but he always compliments Sebastian..don't know if it's just to annoy him or it's honest. He did take an interest in Sebastian in the first episode (LOL, but it was cause he smeeellleeddd naiceee - , -). That, or maybe he wants "Ciel" to himself...I mean, everyone wants Ciel. We know why Sebastian wants Ciel, we know why Claude want Ciel, but we're not sure why the heck Alois would want Ciel. No, I doubt it's because he's gay (rofl), but I think he only wants Ciel because Claude somehow convinced Alois to put up with the whole "getting Ciel thing"..perhaps that's why Alois knows about Claude "eating Ciel" as he referred to the "spiders in the Trancy household eating the Queen's dog"... DisposableCamera- Yupp, hannah is no ordinary maid, she's most likely (surely) NOT human and she's not Alois's personal punching bag either. She's...probably going to play a big part in it..at least more than we think so..I always get goosebumps when I see her..but not necessarily because I'm scared of her. I'm scared of what she'll do, lol like pull out a random bazooka out of nowhere. .__." Behh, I hate being gone for so long, I miss a lot of things!! D; Claude let Alois-chan throw up blood, because he was entranced by Ciel's deliciousness... Seeing Alois-chan's nose runny & face bloody, made me a bit tearful, but seeing the look in Claude's eyes really pissed me off :/ Even if Ciel is tastier than Alois-chan, Claude has a contract with him that has not been fulfilled so he can't just leave him to die... ;D On a happier note, I enjoyed seeing Sebastian get jealous after seeing Ciel being raped by Claudes eyes... (well, maybe not raped, but surely molested) & the triplets fighting scene was cool, even though they did not succeed... |

I keep asking myself what would really happen if Claude breaks the contract with Alois... Will he just lose the rights on his masters soul or is there some greater punishment awaiting his for disobeying it. If it's the 1st case, I think he might let Alois die, so he can have free way to eat Ciels soul. But if it's the 2nd case, he surely is forced not to break the contract... xSimplicity said: Mony-Chan said: And, why do people seem to shocked about Sebby lying to Ciel? It really seems that characters changed their personality a bit... And if you ask me, season 1 really did have happy ending, well, atleast after I watched 1st episode of 2nd season. And about Hannah and the triplets... It seems to me that triplets are maybe a part of Claude in different body. That would explaing why Sebastian seems so much stronger than him (well, yes, he is one hell of a butler xD ) and why there wasn't 'fair fight' in this episode so Sebastian had to fight 5 people at once. Here we can see how strong he really is. And has anybody else notices how the maids looked in prewiew of episode 8? The ones who were washing Alous in some cell or something... It looked to me that maids clothes was identicall to tho one Hannah is wearing, but I am not sure is it only a coincidance. If it's not, maybe she feels bad for something she did in past what includes Alois, so that could be the reason why she is bearing that kind of behaviour from Alois, the beating and cursing and everything without a word... About ciel... It didn't suprise me that he wanted to kill Alois all by himself to pursue his vengeance because that is the purpose of everything that left of his life. Anf I think that he had a chance to do it alone in season 1, he would surely do it. (But he had too strong opponets-Angela was supernatural creature, so it was a bit too much for him alone because she was strong even for sebastian). And in manga, Ciel has shown his cruel side few times, especially when he ordered Sebastian to kill his friends in circus. And it wasn't even for his personal revange, it was for a much lesser thing, just because he listened orders by the Queen. |

But who the heck knows, that would be hilarious though. Well you know I wouldn't put it past Ciel to try and wriggle his way out of the contract and save himself if given the possibility. We all know that Kuroshitsuji may end in only two ways: with Sebastian eating Ciel's soul, or with Ciel sneaking his way out of obligation. True, he's very dignified and has a great sense of duty, but if he found out that Sebastian is betraying him... well I can imagine him saying that he never agreed to give his soul to Sebastian in exchange of revenge against a random person chosen by the demon, and that it means their contract is not valid. It's true if you think about it. Their actual contract is not valid. Sebastian lost his chance to eat Ciel's soul forever when Claude stole it. I think Ciel shouldn't regain his memories, because this way he would be the soul Sebastian wishes to devour once again and it would be over for him. If he simply gets to know that he got his revenge but doesn't actually remember it, then Sebastian won't eat him because that's not the soul he wants, and Ciel can say that Sebastian didn't honour the contract and kick his cheating ass back to hell. Works fine with me. |

What.. happen to Alois? It's still unclear about the fact that Alois murdered Ciel's family, which is can be true or not. I don't like him but if he didn't do that I feel sorry for him, being stabbed for no reason like that. At least I know that Sebastian is the most faithful of them all, compared to Claude. He's the real akuma, how mean, betrayed Alois like that just because he's distracted by Ciel's blood. Ciel really owns in this episode :D one of my favorite shota has become really cool! |

Guys, I just rewatched the fifth and the sixth episode, and I think I've figured something out. Claude said the reason Alois wanted Ciel was to cause Sebastian the greatest suffering possible, and the fact that Sebastian is not interested in Ciel's soul right now because he wants him to get his revenge first, is the reason why Claude agreed to make a deal with Sebastian. Sebastian would suffer a lot more if Claude took Ciel away from him once Ciel got his revenge. The question is: why does Alois want to steal Ciel from Sebastian so much? He doesn't want Sebastian to eat Ciel's soul, but I wonder why. Is it possible that Sebastian and Alois knew each other in the past and Alois holds a grudge against him? I mean it seems a bit unlikely that Alois merely looked at Sebastian and decided he didn't like his charming face and was ready to give his soul to a demon in order to cause Sebastian some suffering. During the deal with Sebastian, Claude never said he would have taken Ciel's soul once he got his revenge against Alois, he said he would have it once Ciel got his revenge in general. So, if Ciel discovers that Alois is in truth Jimmy, and stops trying to kill him but kills the "real" Alois, then Claude will still have the right to claim Ciel's soul since he got his revenge. I'm sure Alois ("Jimmy") will survive because it's in Claude's interest that he does. If Ciel gets his revenge against the "real" Alois, not only will Claude have him, he will also honour his contract with Alois and this way he'll get TWO SOULS IN ONE STROKE. I bet he's convinced he's a cunning genius right now. He surely thinks he damn scored, and I'm afraid he might be right. Gosh, if he eventually gets to eat Ciel's and Alois' soul and Sebastian is left alone like a fool I'll be REALLY disappointed. |

@Astrid_: Maybe the producers won't take such a risk of making Claude the most powerful demon...ya I know he had a demon sword but maybe Sebastian might have some tricks hidden under his sleeves. He won't easily give up Ciel after living with him for soooooooooo long. Or maybe your words might become the truth and then I shall weep for Sebastian at the end. Is it possible that Sebastian and Alois knew each other in the past and Alois holds a grudge against him? Sebastian didn't seem to know him at all....and he had no clue of the queens other dog except the name 'Trancy' (when Ciel was investigating the random burning body case)shadowsword said: Or maybe with Claude XDLinalee-Stratos said: xSimplicity said: It sounded like he was doing it with someone *turns red*I'm suprised no one commented on Sebastians noise at the end of the preview for episode 8 yet x] Yaoi fanservice through seiyuu---> me likes! :D With another nun? I think right now every character has a possibility to get out of this impossible situation unharmed or with what he wants: Claude: he will get to eat Alois' and Ciel's souls if Ciel finds the "real" Alois and gets his revenge on him. This way he will both claim Ciel's soul and honour his contract with Alois. He will eat only Ciel's soul if Alois ("Jimmy") is dead or if Ciel kills him in the future because Ciel will get his revenge this way too. Right now, this bloody bastard seems to be the one with more chances to win. Sebastian: He will get to eat Ciel's soul if Ciel regains his memories. He will also eat Ciel's soul if Ciel gets his revenge against Alois or the "real" Alois and he manages to keep Claude away from him. He has some chances, but he's playing a dangerous game. If he really wants to eat Ciel, he should have a plan in mind to fool Claude. Ciel: He will survive if he DOESN'T regain his memories but discovers what's happening and that Sebastian is betraying him. This way he can claim that his contract with Sebastian is not valid, so that Sebastian will be dismissed and Claude won't have any right over him because Ciel won't be interested in getting any kind of revenge anymore. Alois: He will survive only if he WAKES UP, stops being so emotionally attached to Claude, and realizes that that bastard has been telling him nothing but a bunch of crap since the beginning. In the first episode, Claude said he wanted nothing but Alois and Alois believed him. I'm sure the only thing Alois really wanted when he made his contract with Claude was an ally and a friend, then Claude talked him into agreeing to pursue Ciel. It surely wasn't a hardship for Claude to make Alois trust him. I mean, in the first episode Alois poked Hannah's eye only to get Claude's attention and then he was MOVED when Claude told him he was his loyal slave and wanted nothing but to devour him! My demon just told me he wants to eat me, how touching! He will only survive if he stops begging for Claude's attention, realizes that Claude is betraying him, and does something about that. |

We still don't know the reason behind the contact between Claude and ALois like we know for Sebastian and Ciel (after revenge I will eat you)..... Claude was interested in Alois until he tasted Ciel's blood......maybe he wasn't lying in the 1st episode. |

Yeah you're right, I think the key of the whole series is understanding what the contract between Alois and Claude is about and whether Alois wants Ciel for his own reasons or is being manipulated by Claude. Tecnically, Claude already tasted a bit of Ciel when he stole his soul before Sebastian could ate it (remember when Sebastian said: "The fact that someone else except for me touched my master disgusts me enough"), but we don't know whether he stole it on his own accord or he was following Alois' orders. |

Maybe he was thinking of Ciel and it was a sigh of longing. Longing...? Lol I was thinking of a different word ;P If the ep is called Confessing Butler, do you think Sebby will tell Ciel whats going on? Oh? I guess longing is the "nice" word for it. heehee <3 Yes, i think he'll probabley tell him stuff, like the stuff about Claude and as he said in the preview some "words of love" <3 |

5 out of 5: Loved it! (your vote) OMFG, this was one sexy ass episode!!!! WTF is Hannah?!?!?!?!? I was waiting for Claude to turn cold towards Alois. He didn't seem to like Alois very much anyway. Claude has now gotten a real taste of Ciel's blood, which is going to cause Sebastian to have to work overtime to protect Ciel's soul. I actually felt really bad for Alois. Can't wait for the next ep!!! |

Check this link: http://d-6th.com/blog/2010/08/post-172.php It's a post from Yana Toboso's blog and I think she's talking about the episode. I would SO love to understand japanese. My Online Translator claims that this is what she's saying: "I compared it with Aloys. Two people who are completely opposite all. It is funny words or understands it, or how don't the words that [the devil told a lie] calls [the devil betrayed it] do it? The contractor who refuses it so that it isn't got into the gap with the contractor who demands it to fill the gap of the heart by the devil. Therefore ...... ... seven episodes ... orz which overslept Because I was enthusiastic and worked and didn't really sleep from the day before, but it was up until around 1:00 [... is good at this!]!!] I thought of と, but I grasped a wireless remote controller in a sofa of the living wonderfully and attacked and sank it. Oh, it is sofa impurity したよね …. by ... slaver It is the second defeat." You guys let me know if you understood a word of what she's saying XD |

I feel sorry for Alois all he asking for is a playmate and stupid Ciel is to dense to notice that he is being played. I wonder how this will end up. I never like either Ciel and Sebastian when I heard there were new characters for the second season I was happy, the only reason I keep watching the show was because of the other characters that were very interesting I like Alois he(I wish he was a she thought) doesn't act tough as he knows that he is weak that he's using someone else power doesn't put on a front knows the truth about his contract and what these demons butlers are capable of doing doesn't believe 100% in Claude in conclusion he's a smart kid that shits keep happening to him. I wish that both Claude and Sebastian get a taste of their medicine! There most be an entities out-there that can spoil their plans, it would be awesome if they ended as Grell's bitches. |

In the preview of the next episode Alois was crying on top of Hannah and she looked really sad for him. I think she secretly pities him and maybe she will help him, even after all he did to her. I really believe that there's a lot more to discover about Hannah. |

By the way, I'm absolutely sure Alois is still alive. I mean first of all Sebastian said they would continue the dance another day. If Alois was dead, it would mean Ciel got his revenge and that Sebastian could eat his soul on the spot. And I HOPE that moment would be a bit more dramatic than Sebastian dancing around with Ciel in his arms. Alois is alive, I'm sure of it. |

I really hope Alois isn't dead...yet. I don't care for him AT ALL, but him dying so soon would suck. o_o Ciel was brilliant in episode 7. Grabbing the sword, wounding his hand and then bam! Stabbing Alois. I loved it. I couldn't believe Claude didn't help Alois immediately, since Alois is his master and all, but come on. It's CIEL. And Ciel slapping Sebastian a million times was great. That is all. XD |

Is it just me or is almost everybody here a Claude/Alois fan? Sorry but I can't see what you all like about him, I -still- think Ciel is great :) Well I have to say he's not as sharp as he used to be -why was he surprised by the word demon when Alois said that? He used the contract when Sebastian and Claude had to "dance" so he knew about the contract, the price and Sebastian, right??- but come on, he lost his memories.. I think the second season is really.. different from the fist season, way more fan service and shounen-ai hints -uch, Alois, uch- and less... darker? But I like it and I'm kinda curious why Claude could resist the "contract", what will happen to Ciel's memories and how the deal between Sebastian and Claude will end -nó way that Sebastian would give "bocchans" soul away!- hehe ^^ Yeay for the CielxSebastian moments! |

Thank you Astrid_ for the translation....though I could not decipher her words. Better translation of the blog can be found here post No.#85 Edit (After reading translation): So Ciel is Sebastian's intricate bento XD Nooooooooooo! We won't get to see Sebastian's demon form in the anime? Claude thinks Sebastian is a hentai!---> *laughs* *laughs* *tummy hurts* |
