Despite how everyone critize the animation of this fight nowadays, when I was 9, I remember this being the first episode of Nauto i've ever watched and holy fuck it was the coolest thing I had ever seen.

The animation was appalling! It's hard to enjoy the episode, especially when you look at the characters' fighting scenes as if they were made of Jelly!

She got him back. If you understand the characters well enough, you'd know she did!

Amazing episode. Never would I have thought pain had the power to decimate an entire village in an instant, or create what he did toward the end. I thought the 9 tails wouldn't even be a contender in the fight, that was the whole point of sage mode... but now here we have naruto about to rip off the seal. This episode was insane, especially toward the ending with the Fourth Hokage appearing. That I didnt see coming.

The animation was very fluid, but it deforms too much, I think they abused the exaggeration, also the increase in power was disproportionate, crazy, I think it's too much, even so it's not a bad chapter

What an episode. I did not expect this to become this good. before i say anything, let me praise the outstanding sound direction in this episode. The build up and then the ost at the most emotional moment of this episode, that hit me deeply. This episode at the starting looked just like another normal fight episode but as we progressed, it became emotional and a lot at that! I was stunned, i dont think ive ever come this close to crying just on the basis of a fight alone, however it wasnt just the fight, naruto getting to 6 tails and breaking the sealing necklace then getting to 8 and the helplessness of yamato after realising it, the grief of naruto being unable to end suffering and the nine tails provoking him finally to break the seal, all of this was so perfect, and the fourth hokage's entry at the last moment who saved the seal. Man this was one good episode. animation was like the previous episodes nothing special but the sound direction and buildup top notch!

Yeah I'm not gonna lie the animation did take me out of the immersion, it's great animation but it just doesn't fit the character not the overall ambiance of the fight
