| All the "sob story" backgrounds of the characters are starting to get a little ... not repetitive, but not that interesting, either. Typical "sister is sick but oh so joyful now I found my meaning in life" for Otonashi. Naoi was awesome this episode :P I totally thought Otonashi would go, "Are you ...?" like with Hinata XD. Still trying to ship them but I sense a Otonashi / Kanade pairing. Ending was pretty epic, two of them now?! Can't wait for the next episode |
| So his past was all about his loli sister? I didn't get why he was supposedly miserable for going work each day and then home to sleep. Actually i do understand but doesn't that go for most of us? Anyway the ending left questions for all of us i guess. Is Angel something like Mr.Smith for Matrix and it multiplies? Or is she part of the system of the world and when one stop doing her job another appears? This is the first time am anxious to see the next one because am really curious. |

| Rofl @ Naoi and Hinata in the beginning. I'm not sure if I'm happy that Naoi stayed or not. Otonashi's little sister is too cute and his memories were sad. What in the hell at the ending though. |

The thing about the sad backgrounds of Angel Beats' characters (so far) is they seem to be sad just to be sad. And they don't exactly accumulate to help me sympathize with the characters. Anyway, I hope you're right that there will be an impact coming soon and we can get something out of these sadness and this "rebellion" because that's what I'm waiting for. |

| Ok, I was surprised by how we got to know Otonashi's past already in the 7th episode. Ok, at the first part I thought that even though they pulled out this, the episode might turn out to be good. BUT, what was that he got only the half of the episode and then they started fishing? This makes absolutely no sense. The little drama we saw got completely wiped out in an instant. Why? And what's with evil Tenshi again? Maybe Kanade and Tenshi was two different person from the start~~ |

Then there's the staleness with which everyone's backgrounds are presented, and I can't really overlook the fact that the show hasn't had one totally good episode yet. Granted, this episode looked nice, but even that (the art) has pretty inconsistent from the onset. |

| Well, I just watched this episode and to be honest it seemed kind of random. It seemed like the writers didn't know what to do so they just sat down and were like "Alright, let's reveal the main character's past (we have been saving it for like, whopping 6 episodes) and then ..... let's go FISHING!" Hopefuly this series is going somwhere becuase right now it seems like every week it shifts towards somwhere else and it is not really building up to any sort of big confrontaion. |

| this was a great episode. i almost feel out of my chair when i saw another kanade. and the past of yuzuru made me tear up a bit. the city looked like the one from kanon so in that scene it felt like i was watching a totally different anime. AMAZING EPISODE!!!! YuzuruXKanade forever!!!!! |

As for the random, as usual, I will use the "it's 13 episodes so they crammed in like two stories into ONE episode" excuse and "they should have made it "24-26". Either way, I'll at least get the meaning/point of the whole story. All you can do is try to fill in the holes yourself and read the other media you haven't. IE: The light novel. I completely understand that they are rushing the whole thing. |
