Do you create your own worlds?

Yeah, I think it is easy to imagine a world that doesn't exist. However, I'm more interested in analysising real-world events. But writing your own fictional world requires too much effort imo. I just prefer reading other people's fictions sometimes.

Not in the sense that you described, but I certainly have in the context of writing a story. But world builders disease is a very real thing lol, though if you never planed on writing a story for your world dw about it.

But there’s a lot of people who just enjoy creating a world with no intention of writing a story for it, so it’s not really a concern in that case.

I do this all the time, i'm obsessed with it. I tried to make RPG Maker projects before, but I havn't been too successful with that so far.

Yes I do that a lot there's a few (hundred?) drawings with characters in my worlds. Most of them are modern, tall buildings etc but sometimes I do medieval style, and use cathedral interiors for references. I even tried creating my own whole city, for a manga about an adventure to the city and have like 30 pages of lineart. I hate coloring.. it takes so long. But I sometimes do writing too and especially like writing fantasy.

Yes. I like to go into my own fictional world specially when I can't sleep. I think I read too much fiction and watch too much anime lol

I try to pretend that an anime is happening in my fantasy world, rather than some sort of realism. =_=

@Cute_Marseille Oh I don't work with anyone else, all by myself. The drawings are all on paper, and I have to color it myself.
I probably *could* just scan the lineart before coloring, and pay someone to do coloring on computer... but I'm distrustful and have heard of too many people getting ripped off.

Hm. Do you think coloring is that important?🤔 I know nothing in arts, but even so manga goes pretty fine with b-w style. Why wouldn't you try as well? Who knows if it comes something amazing😁.

@Cute_Marseille Oh yes coloring is the only way for it to be visible (or else pencil shading) As far as I know, traditional manga are done in inks- that's how it shows up so well. But since I'm using pencil (F, HB, which is very light) there's no way you'd see anything unless I cranked up the contrast (I tried this and it's just not appealing to look at)
I love traditional manga very much and can spend hours drooling over their work, but realized I'm just not able to use inks, so I color with pencils. When done well it can look nice but the output is painfully slow....
Right now I'm experimenting with doing manga style pages with panels, shrinking down the scenes and characters, so it'll be easier to color and the results are good so far soon as I get done, and much more fun

I tend to do a lot of daydreaming in the uhhhh day, so you could say that I still have fantasies about being a superhero or Warrior for justice and stuff like that. Man that sounds cheesy. 😂

I felt like writing something a few weeks ago, went down a Google rabbit hole, and ended up installing a local wiki server on my machine to help facilitate creating a world. But the whole process was like modding Skyrim: spend forever setting everything up and then at the end you don't even want to play anymore 🙃

Somewhere along those lines yes. Also a lot of my fantasies come from past jrpgs that I played, Oh why oh why can they not be real!? 😭

I like Creating my own world because I'm trying to escape from reality. I means I've given up trying to give meaning to a life that has no meaning or purpose.
I've always built universes where comedy, sarcasm, and parody mocks how the real world operates..
