I'm having an issue with submitting the sign up of secret santa manga form.

But I didn't get that part at all. How am I supposed to fill it out. When I click on "Go Back and Fix", I can see that all the required questions have been filled. What should I do?

| @Ash289 Maybe you didn't select enough genres. You need to select between 3 and 6 genres on the "I'm in the mood for" page. Tell me if that doesn't fix it, I'll try to figure it out with you. |

| Year after year we keep seeing the same predicaments being made which apparently are not so obvious. Most likely the elves already deal with this through direct messaging the particular participants, but I was wondering if some additional instructions could help. Maybe add to the instructions when the confirmation message is sent forcing the participants to read them. Something like: Please set your anime/manga list to public. How can someone think of a title you might like if they don't know if you have already seen it? How can someone recommend you a title if they don't know what you like and dislike? If you don't give scores, you may participate, but you have zero justification to make complaints about gifts. Since no one but yourself knows how you felt about the stuff you have read, no one can make a proper recommendation tailored to your taste. Tricky since people don't even read the instructions in the opening post. On another subject, I was wondering if veterans of this event could give tips on how to choose a gift. MAL already has the instructions on how to be a good santa that come in the recipient reveal message. It is a detailed explanation on how to use the tools available on MAL to see what might be a possible gift. Usually secret santas will recommend stuff they like, but it is never as simple as that. The preferences of someone else - even those who have a high affinity to you - may vary wildly. Quite often you love something another person hates and that is fine. But how can we avoid recommending those? Maybe a veteran elf could create a thread "Tips on How to Choose a Secret Santa Gift" that a moderator could keep trimming and editing and that could always be linked in the opening post of the event. |

@DeadlyRaven The thing is I don't find that in the form at all. There's 13 parts to the form and none of them mention "I'm in the mood for" page. As soon as I select Any, the page disappears. Should I deselect it and then select some options in the "I'm in the mood for" page and then go back select any again?
| @Ash289 I've asked some really nice elves to try to replicate the error, but we couldn't so I'm not too sure what's going on. As long as your sign-up is in the sign-up thread, that's fine so you don't need to worry about the form anymore. |

| @Yasminaa Neither! After the elves tell you about your recipient, you will get a bit of time to find the perfect gift for them and then have to send it through a google form. The elves will deliver your gift for christmas and your recipient will get the chance to watch/read your gift before we reveal who their Santa was 1~2 weeks later :) |

@elsaleya Last year, we saw some excellent AI gifts, such as Banana Fish being the prequel to Neon Genesis and Cruel's Angel Thesis being an acclaimed song from Angel Beats. Many people also copy/paste their AI prompt into the giftbox along with the text :) Don't worry, there won't be any witch hunts.

Don't worry about being able to recognize the elves, they all have elf in their names and the messages are very easy to spot. :D You might've already seen an elf if you received your confirmation message. On the first page of the anime sign-up page, you can find all of the important dates and information you need. If there's anything else that's confusing, feel free to ask! |

| @COMPLETE_myths Hello! It's a bit different than the Bunkasai event. The Santa's workshop will match you with someone to give a gift (a recommendation) to. They're going to send the name of that person in private message and all the instructions you need to make your gift around December 10th. But basically, you'll have to pick 1 to 3 anime to recommend them and write a small text to accompany your recommendation/s. It's a secret santa event so you don't send the gift directly to the person. You'll have instructions on where to send it so you don't have to worry about it at all for now. Pretty much all you need is on the first page of this thread and on the sign-ups threads. Make sure to read them and if anything is unclear, feel free to ask! |

(Unless maybe it really was the one from last year haha) Just in case other people are wondering: There's still plenty of time to both sign-up and confirm!
