The whole nokker-situation would be less weird if that little girl hadn't stabbed herself and shown that creepy facial expression. Why? The black One said the nokker chose co-existence. But that girl didn't look friendly at all.

And I still don't get how Fushi could lay eggs as a turtle. Even if he copied a female turtle, that turtle just happened to be full of eggs? Eh.

@MyllerPhiem I suppose the female turtle already had eggs inside, so when Fushi copied the turtle, the eggs were copied too. I suppose the same will happen if Fushi copies a pregnant woman; he will copy the baby inside of her, too, which is scary, because then Fushi would be able to give birth to the same baby over and over again if he chooses to give birth at the rate of a rat.

@Joey-XD19202 Presumably they have all passed on to the afterlife and can't be resurrected. He can recreate a body but if there is no soul to inhabit the body it just lays there in a vegetative state until it dies.
@KingGarland Oh, got it. Makes sense, kinda disappointed though
Graduated High School in May of 2022. Summer vacation has finally arrived. I have once again regained the power of a new anime fan, being able to watch multiple anime episodes in a day. Time to binge-watch every single anime I can into the night until college arrives. SADGE. SUPER SADGE... College has begun as of Monday, August 30, 2022, so you won't be seeing me much around these parks. See you on weekends, I guess... School me is back. Sigh! I'll at least try for one anime a day with all this course load.

Turtle-fushi randomly laying eggs be like:

Seriously, WTF???

Also Tonari, my beloved. For real, the only character with common sense in this damn show. Now I feel extra sorry for hating you guts during S1.

So... does this mean Fushi can actually give birth if he ever takes the form of a pregnant woman?

Well, that was certainly something. Moving on from the eggs... this season is finally starting to get interesting, although I am somewhat disappointed that the nokkers are still the antagonists. They're too faceless. I was hoping that the child would turn out to be another immortal that could oppose Fushi. I wasn't expecting the Black One to be a human child.

It would make sense to talk to the Nokkers and find out what they actually want, but the preview seems to hint that they don't want to talk it out.
I find this new uncertainty in the face of the evolving nockers + the vulnerability of the man in black no longer being this backup incredibly interesting. Mizuha is still a walking red flag but im curious if shes gonna be a parallell to kohaku but this time Fushi is able to save them.

@pixelante that one little girl stabbed herself whilst mocking fushi to his face about it, those things do not want to talk

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

Even though the turtle scene was weird, I actually found Fushi's expression at the end really cute.

Fushi settling into the modern world, only creates more uneasiness with the passing of life, even more than proving that they can finally have peace in a world wthout the Nokkers. And his first task to allay Tonari of her misunderstandings with Mizuha, though Bon speeds up that process by revealing the lone girl of 10-year-old Mimori being a potential Nokker, Fushi has no choice but to take her down on the spot, and it's a gamble if she's human or otherwise...which she proves it on the spot, plus a boy who seemingly have similar powers to the orb himself.

However, Fushi deducing that the Beholder has turned into that boy, taking Bon by total surprise, and the latter revealing the Nokkers' infestation in the modern world that has not been discovered yet, the strangeness for the entity to choose coexistence and live with the humans so much that they don't prove a threat anymore, it's no wonder why Fushi's gone into a rage thinking that his objective has been a one and done thing since coming to the modern world to face quite the defeat by doing nothing. Yuki being there to interpret things his way by surprise, and him coming up with ideas to convince the Nokkers to leave the human bodies, it's a noble plan alright. Along with Aiko, the thing that separates humans from Nokkers being love, if Fushi can understand it better, it would certainly make his life a lot better...but being the sea turtle to give birth to its many eggs in discovering that aspect...which Mizuha having to witness is embarassing enough.

How would the Hayase descendant who just killed her mother, teach an immortal being about love? This will be interesting to learn.

Tonari said what had to be said.
The Black One (effectively god albeit a laid back one) took on the form of a human child and will become fully human in 4 years.
His messenger Fushi, originally an orb, just laid eggs.
In season 2, the Black One told Bon that Fushi would eventually be his replacement, he became Satoru because now or 4 years' time is the turn for Fushi to take over. Could the eggs be orbs, too?

This episode brought some really interesting world-building developments. First, the Nokkers are definitely back, but most importantly, Black-Man shows up as a human, using the same powers as Fushi to actually collaborate with the Nokkers?!

The enemy is more formidable than ever. The former observer is now the central antagonist. His intentions are still unclear, but I believe this is part of a larger plan to accelerate the expansion of Fushi's influence on the world. And seriously, tiny Nokkers? Completely insane, but considering what Fushi is, not exactly surprising.

In the end, everything circles back to love. The difference between humans and nokkers seems to be singular. But from what it indicates, the Nokkers are essentially empty, while humans operate from an irrational core that can ultimately be summarized as "love."

And it's clear that Mizuha — through this ancestral, abusive attachment (which some people in the community oversimplify as "tsundere", though her behavior fits much more into “yandere”) — ends up forcing Fushi to learn what love is through her.

Dubious and honest analysis from neonerd.
