| @nightfury10 I haven't had the fortune to see Uma Musume yet, so I'm not sure which part of the vibes you're into (sports, anthro, cute girls doing cute things-esque all female cast)? I hope maybe the latter is at least part of it, because I'm wondering if you'd like Comic Girls. I really enjoyed it and I noticed it's in your PTW (I think...hopefully not Dropped). :) |

| @LoopyDoopy If you like loner-type protagonists who are secretly smart, you might enjoy Ore Monogatari!! (My Love Story!!). | @RaiYou I see you like romance anime a lot and we have some romance anime favourites in common! You started in 2020, so it might be fun to go back in time a bit with Kaichou Wa Maid-Sama. A fun romcom, with a male character that might fit into your favourite characters line-up and a maid café setting for some sweetness you seem to love! |

I’m looking for something with standout characters (and not the dumb kind), plus a bit of romance — preferably as a side element so it doesn’t take over the story — and nice character designs too. | @sylargbrl I noticed that Bocchi the Rock! isn't in your list; if you're looking for fun characters, I think few anime can beat Bocchi. Though, Bocchi the Rock really does not fit the rest of your description... I'm not sure if you'll like Cyberpunk Edgerunners, but it ticks off everything you asked for: memorable character designs, well-written characters, and a bit of romance on the side. It's a fast-paced violent actionfest that I just can't stop thinking about. Finally, perhaps you might like Apocalypse Hotel? I can't put into words why, but I think you would enjoy it. It's a quiet, introspective show that leaves you feeling things. It is only after writing all of that when I realize that none of my recommendations actually fit both your list and your comment lol To anyone who plans on recommending me anything: Thanks! I tend to enjoy shows that are stylistically interesting and give me ideas to think about. Either that, or they impart very nice feelings on me, preferably without excessive melodrama. Good luck :D An indicator for whether or not I have been recommended anything, so other people can get recommendations if someone already gave me one: [Someone has recommended me some anime!] |

| @sylargbrl Try Oooku. There are definitely some smart characters in it. Also, it does have some romance on the side. The character design, in my opinion, is pretty nice. It's also similar to Kusuriya no Hitorigoto in terms of time period and place, and maybe character roles. |

| @detarameMAL Thanks a lot! Bocchi is still on my mental plan to watch list, but I never actually added it here. It’s one of those animes I really want to start, but I somehow never find the time for it haha. I’ll add Cyberpunk to my PTW list as well. I can recommend two anime that I think you might enjoy. You give me the vibe that you like series with alternate worlds, dystopian settings, or sci-fi elements. Id: Invaded – It’s a mystery series about a detective who solves cases by diving into people’s minds. Kind of like a virtual-reality detective. It’s an original anime - it doesn’t have a manga. Carole & Tuesday – It’s true that it’s emotional, but I feel like it offers much more than just a couple of tearful moments. It’s a bit of a risky recommendation because not many people are into music-focused anime (even though a lot of them are actually really good and still get overlooked). It is set on a future Mars where most music is made by AI and the main characters are singers sooo they "fight" about creating something real in a world dominated by artificial music. Hope you could like them! |

| @Yuki135 very interesting. Interistig recomendation, the antique style with a samurai theme is the perfect combination for enjoying the show. Rather than that, actually Koukyuu no Karasu more similar to kusuriya. This series is a mystery-solving version that uses the supernatural powers of the main character as an influential figure, not just an outsider or someone whose true identity has not yet been revealed. Highly recommended if you like this kind of story setting. |

| @sylargbrl The last anime I was super into was Kusuriya no Hitorigoto too! I actually started watching it because it was recommended to Shoushimin Series, so I'd like to turn that recommendation around and give it to you :) The characters are fun and interesting and end up solving daily mysteries, and the romance is there but is very slowburn so definitely doesn't take over the main plot at all! You might also like Saigo ni Hitotsu dake Onegai shitemo Yoroshii deshou ka, it isn't done airing yet but it has standout characters with a similar dynamic to Jinshi and Maomao, and so far it's had a bit of romance but not enough to take over the main story :) |

| @sylargbrl Thanks for the recs! Id: Invaded is one of these anime I would always hear people talk about, but never got to check out myself. It sounds very interesting; I haven't watched any sci-fi psychological anime before, so this will be something new. Similarly, the extent of my knowledge on Carole & Tuesday is limited to the Mermaid Sisters (they never seemed to me to be quite sisterly???). I just looked through how many musicians worked on the project, and it was a "woah!" moment for me. Also, Shinichiro Watanabe. Good music anime are rare; this might actually be one of them. I'll make sure watch both some time in the future. |

@eirian_j A good Mystery you might enjoy: Dusk Maiden of Amnesia
A nice mystery-story wrapped in a romance between a ghost and the only student who can see her.
As for me: If someone knows a great Romance (Harem is fine as well) that I haven't watched please tell, thanks

| @LordJamp Assuming the list compare tool is working correctly: Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun Senryu Girl Tsukigakirei Night Is Short, Walk on Girl (the romance is honestly not the highlight of the movie, but it's really good overall) |

| @kta_99 Looking through the list and assuming the compare tool is correct, it seems like you enjoy a multitude of genres. If you are into mystery and slow paced shows, I would suggest watching Monster. There is an english dubbed version of this as you're a dub watcher. As for me, if someone knows a good romance, mystery or drama show that I haven't watched, that would be much appreciated. Thank you! |

@Lampblasted Based on your list, I can defo tell you're a romance fan, so I'd like to recommend Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia. Personally, I enjoyed it because I'm also interested in astronomy, but I felt like the characterization was excellent :)
As for me - I'm always on the lookout for a great mystery anime. I also really enjoy sports anime!

| @eirian_j the timing is impeccable. i have mystery and sports anime recommendations: yowamushi pedal, kuroshitsuji and undead girl murder farce. please read my post above for reasons! @detaramemal i like feel good anime with minimal to no melodrama too. i think you might enjoy yumeiro patissiere, shirokuma cafe, otome yokai zakuro and ore monogatari. i've included reasons for them in my post! as for stylistically interesting anime that give you ideas to think about, i'd recommend mononoke, hamatora, kiznaiver, psycho pass and parasyte. i'm not sure if these are what you're looking for though, but you can check out their sypnoses on MAL. |

My recommendations: If you're looking for psychological horror with gore elements Shiki If you're looking for a short comedy that involves the yakuza Karaoke Iko If you're looking for a historical setting with urban fantasy elements-and vampires-Vanitas no Karte |

| I recently watched She and Her Cat: Everything Flows - it was so sweet and sad... I recommend as a light watch but also emotional lol. I actually read a book by the same name this summer, cowrittern by Makoto Shinkai (Your Name creator), was amazing. It is not the exact story as the anime but it is fantastic, too. |
