| I like this simple animation style which is hopefully not super expensive to produce yet is still effective enough to tell the story clearly. This is honestly how my brain computes some of the webtoons I read, so it's kinda fun to see it all animated like this. It's like a more advanced version of motion comics or something. Pretty cool, and I wonder if stories that can't quite get huge budget productions might be able to get this type of lower budget production in the future. It's still entertaining, so I think it's fine. I never really thought that too much of the story was being lost when being told this way. The characters are still expressive. Can't complain besides maybe that some might feel you might as well just read the manga (light novel in this case). I wouldn't disagree, but I know folks like hearing the voices or just seeing how things are meant to be interpreted. Or people like the auditory and visual experience. It's all fine. Some anime have come out like this, but this seems a lot more like a text to bare minimum animation thing. It sounds negative, but I legitimately don't hate it and appreciate the idea. However, I'm not sure if I like the story enough to continue-- yeah, after all of that. It's just not all that interesting so far. Biggest question right now is "How'd I get here?" I can't really find myself caring about the answer to that because we barely know who MC is in the first place, and she doesn't seem to have a distinct personality or anything-- not even a distinct, personal gimmick. She's kinda just a random girl who can now makes potions and is now trying to find out what's what. Eh. |
