This was yet another great season! ππ» This Summer 2025 season really did not disappoint with sequels. Got to see a lot more Gojo x Marin moments. I hope to see that season 3 announcement soon because the latest chapters have been looking ππ»π₯΅ I loved the Rei-sama skit for that school contest, Gojo taking care of sick Marin, and we got to see everyone else again! ππ»  |

| sigh! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Im gonna miss this show man! yeah, this has to be the cutest epsode by far. The photo shot scene highlighted a lot of things I pointed out, but more was said like how much of a FAN Akria is and how much Sajuna loves her sister. It sort of brings tears to my eyes seeing them actaully in that state and DEAR GOD I have never seen such gusto from Akria like that, it ended up sort of making her look a lot like Kitagawa. And in retrospect you can kinda see the similarities, but unlike Akria, Kitagawa actually went full weeb/Otaku and it made her SHINE? in Akira's perspective as a result. I love THAT. Confession, when Akira was found out that she was a fan, Kitagawa came to the relizaion that "hey, whats the point in hiding your emotions? its just create discourse" she didnt think that last part, but I think this highlights that her emotions don't need to be hidden for the thing she loves so much. A bit of a foreshadowing for upcoming season? I hope so I hope so. For Sajuna-chan, being an older sister and all, highlights her care for others. Even when she was pushing herself, she was actually having a lot of fun. She confesses that this is not something she wants to even do, but the people around her are making this more fun that it needs to be. God I love Tsunderes This is the second show this season that did not get a follow up announcement after the show ended that I am aware of. The other one being call of the night. Every other show has gotten an announcement (namely, dandadan n Clevatass) BUT pray that this show comes out the other if it comes out at all. Hope to see more connection other than surface level character relation and dynamic upon rewatch. uuuhh YEAH Rating time -> Plot: 10/10 Photo shot Theme: 10/10 confession, Characters: 10/10 Akira is awesome! 100% relateable(except being that much of a fan) OST: 10/10 The game theme when the photo shot was playing out, and the bit like music was very good... yeah beep boop OverAll: 10/10 MORE PLEASE GIVE ME MORE ANYWAY, yeah hopefully there will be another season to come out! | As everybody expected Akira was just an extremely deranged fan girl of Marin lol I really thought that it would be something more serious. Sajuna did her best to get through that horror cosplay just for the sake of her sister's happiness πβ€οΈβ€οΈ Shinju is really sick in the mind for enjoying that gruesome horror game ππ Really expected something more from Marin instead of just asking for a selfie with Gojo πππ I really loved this season so much just like season 1.The op, ed ,the animation everything were so perfect. Hats off to Cloverworks for giving us all the best anime this season. Can't Wait for the announcement of season 3. |

Having read the source material I had veeeery low expectations. Honestly it could have been a lot worse, but this was not even the shadow of season one.
Visuals: 8/10

| Seeing Akira's scene voiced compared to its manga counterpart was hilarious. Liked the reveal of the school cosplay a bit more but this one had more characters engaging it which is really nice too but the arc felt a bit longer than it needed to be. At least there was some addition cosplaying with Juju before the finale to add a bit more variety. Overall very fun season and visuals+animation were on a whole nother level when it comes to the genre. |

| Wow, a lot of extras/anime only scenes in the last episode! I just missed a scene from manga, a small change they did... Probably for time reasons they changed this part, still a great ending to another great season! |

| Pretty bad last episode honestly Like it wasnt bad in general but we had so much drama over the Akira thing and the confession and nothing really happened hahaha I still think its like an 8/10 for purely being an interesting and fun show, but this finale kinda sucked |
| Very disappointing. Massive downgrade from S1. I expected to at least end with some kind of confession and they end it with a friggin selfie. Are you kidding me? And the whole Akira thing which promised to be an interesting serious spice to the series ended with an incredibly underwhelming resolution. |

LOL I really didn't expect that twist, so Akira loved Marin so much that she can't act properly near her LOL, I was really surprised and expected something like she met her in the past and Marin did something bad to her without knowing. Other than that it was a good episode, but I'm kinda disappointed that Marin didn't make her move, but maybe in S3? Or should I read the manga instead? π€ |

Oh look, someone needs a cosplay stitched, and guess who came back from the dead to do it... our good old simpleton drone, Gojou. And ofc the crossdressing weirdo is back too... like anyone actually cares. At this point, I feel like we’ve been doing nothing but a photoshoot for the last 3–4 episodes, or maybe my memory’s broken, because I can’t recall anything else. One thing I do remember: we were supposed to have a confession... wait, where is it? Oh right, this show doesn’t actually do romance. Almost as forgettable as the whole season, but hey, we move on.
Speaking of forgettable, who even are half these characters? Even outside of cosplay, the group dynamics are weak, not helped by the mediocre, boring supporting cast. It’s honestly baffling how, after all this, I still can’t tell who’s who... oh wait, that’s not my fault. And did I mention again that literally nothing happened? Oh, and miss crossdressing lady or whatever her name is, look at her, a hardcore, like really hardcore simp. So that makes her soooo cute, right? RIGHT???? Makes me wonder what was even the point of this character besides just adding another face to Marin’s endless queue of fangirls?
This season is actually horrendous and a baffling attempt at turning into a SOL. Newsflash show: to make a good SOL, you need good characters. I can’t even name one here, but hey, keep trying, because it’s clear you’re not putting any effort into the romance side. This and Takopii have really shown me how much people can be blinded by sakuga and flashy direction into thinking nothing-burger shows like these are good. Literally the definition of “carried by animation,” and I hate to even use that term.
This whole scene was absolutely pathetic lol. What a terrible way to end a season. They didn’t even tease a certain character at the end, so fingers crossed that means season three isn’t happening.

| Kudos to Cloverworks for making it look good as it did, the Coffin arc was way too long and full of unnecessary drama. I thought for a moment that they would go full anime original ending and have her confess, but nope. I think the rest of it will be made into a movie. Unless Cloverworks adds a LOT of filler(moreso than what they did even this season), there's not enough material. |

| The mixed response for this season is interesting to see. I thought this season started off strong but kinda meandered towards the end with a few too many characters to follow. Also surprised so many people were okay with Akira's reveal in this episode. I thought it genuinely sucked and could see it coming from a mile away. Could've done so much with it but making Akira a fangirl felt like a massive cop out, the show could've used just a little more drama to spice things up. There was less fanservice this season, major degenerate here, although I don't think My Dress Up Darling is a show that needs a ton of it anyway. What we did get this season was still pretty good. Marin's and Gojo's cute friendship/relationship is why I tune in, and that was still pretty god this season. Even with Aniplex's rep, I can see a continuation happening. I could see them trying to fit the rest of the manga chapters into a movie, but I think we'll be waiting a while. Either way, season 2 was still pretty dang good, probably on par with season 1. |
