| Sakura makes her character appearance from the manga! Gotta say, her personality and voice mannerism is exactly how I pictured would be. Funny enough, she adds more drama between the cast. She and Miwa has a rivalry thing going on. A lot of delicious food this episode so this season definitely didn't forget about htat. |

| MIWA SHINE FINALLY!! Been invested in her stocks for a while and I think they’re about to rise quite a bit with this arc. She’s easily the most underrated of the sisters. We got a two for 1 this week. Lot of cute Miwa moments, but we also meet her rival aka biggest fan and best friend, Sakura. They have such a cute relationship and even tho Miwa won’t admit it, she clearly enjoys Sakura’s company a lot and cares for her tremendously. I got a feeling that Sakura just made an enemy of Niko and Kazuki tho because of all the unintentional flirting with Yu lol. Them both being unlucky klutz is hilarious. Speaking of Yu, I love how chill his interactions with Miwa are compared to Niko and Kazuki. They struggle to show their true selves to him whereas Miwa talks to him like a normal person and even uses the kun honorific with him, just feels warmer than the other two to me and more like really good friends. Niko and Yu have the best overall chemistry(Kazuki still best girl) but I like how the author has created 3 different sort of relationships with the girls and Yu. They all have their pros and cons and it just keeps things feeling fresh. Like at the end there when Miwa lost that first match and Yu made a midnight snack to cheer her up and keep her energised, Niko probably would’ve snapped like a tsundere and Kazuki may have just brushed it off like it’s nothing, but Miwa has no problem eating and just chilling with Yu. Can’t wait to see how Miwa bounces back next week, this loss is very important for her character and growth as a person and Shogi player. Also, Sangatsu collab when? |

| "Glow Glow" The Tails brunette from the OP appears. "The Miwa lick." I want some. Sakura Yaotome self proclaimed Rival to Miwa. Anybody else catch Miwa calling her Yaotomecchi? OMG, we have a Harem + 1 out of the wild. "What the Hell!" Then she for the first time wins a game against Miwa and become an actual rival. So she represent the hard work train to death vs the natural talent/genius. All Miwa has to do to stayed ahead is put in a bit more work. Which girl dilemma: Miwa has the brains, wit, sass, and personality I prefer, and the least attractive hair style. Looks are adequately cute. Nico the very cute good looks, other than height,and some cuteness personality under the damn tsundere shtick. Kazuki has the height, chiseled features, but not fond of her hair, and she is the least personable, despite having all the chops to carry any demeanor she chooses. Sakura is cute, best hair, a bit short, and her entire personality is wrapped up in being someones rival. I think at this point my taste would go with Miwa, she would certainly give me more laughs and fun than the others. |

I just know that even though Miwa never lose to Sakura, but their first "official" match that she lose the 1st set somehow... but don't worry, I am sure Miwa will bounce back

| Miwa is the focus of this week (and of next week without a doubt) and she's absolutely adorable from start to finish. Sakura is a very amusing airhead, probably the funniest secondary character in the show so far. It is pretty sweet to see Niko and Kazuki supporting and worrying about their sister in the background, and hilarious to see them blushing and worrying over Yuu's attention. Not gonna lie, Yuu's midnight snack/dessert looked delish. |

| Didn't expect Sakura Yaotome's character to be this cute and an admirable one..πβ£οΈ "I'm the main character of my own life. Just 'cause I'm talentless, I won't give up becoming the main character." Her words really moved me. Yu and Sakura are really alike but she's wrong about Yu. It's not like Yu doesn't want to shine, he couldn't find anything suitable for him to shine. But he does his best when it comes to helping the sisters with the cooking and household chores. You can't call a person best at all these things as a side character. He still has the chance to become something big. Maybe not in the way as others would expect. Yu already made Sakura fall for him twice, literally ! π π Niko and Kazuki praying to God to make Miwa not lose at any cost after witnessing Yu and Sakura getting close π€£ππ Miwa's really cool when she plays Shogi but she turns into a kitten immediately infront of Yu ππ» Yu's dedication level to the sisters is out of this world. That was a cute little late night snack for Miwa. On the other hand, looking at Sakura's food makes you feel bad. The girl's really putting great effort to win against Miwa and she praises and idolises her as well, haha Can't wait to see how Miwa fights back after taking that loss in the first round. |

| Miwa is the main star this time around and since she's my favourite, I couldn't be more happy! =D Seeing her in action while playing shogi does give me fond memories of March Comes In Like A Lion and it showcases how gripping these matches can be. This episode also introduces Sakura. She might be a complete klutz and shares that habit with Yuu, leading to funny moment between them, but I do admire her iron-clad determination in getting better at shogi and how hard she has worked up to challenging Miwa to a title battle. She's easily the underdog of this best-of-five match, but she did win the first one, so she's definitely making true to her words. As for Miwa, she did take that first match loss well, but Yuu going the extra mile to make an adorable kitty-themed dessert for her was heartwarming. Personally, I do see her title match against Sakura going the distance and those future matches will be very difficult for sure, but I still have faith that Miwa will pull through with overall victory. |
| Saw Sakura in a tik tok earlier and bookmarked it cause I thought she was funny, a pleasant surprise to find out she's a part of this show, saves the digging. I suppose were in the Miwa arc. Kinda curious what will happen after since she's the last girl to focus on maybe a Yuu arc or hell maybe he'll actually date one of them |

| Yuu's harem has finally been replenished, and while the Mikadono sisters are all great, I also consider Sakura a great character, and yes, once again, the one who is considered a loser cooks amazing dishes. |
| So we met the girl version of Yu in this episode. She's pretty charming and potentially the 4th love interest. She does match his klutzy never giving up loser vibe I really dig it. Also Miwa lost? Maybe? She doesn't seem upset or maybe she's better at concealing her emotions compared to her sisters. I'd imagine a scenario where Yu didn't understand the context fully and she actually didn't lose but I don't know how the next episode is going to be. I'm sure we'll get more context from the next episode. |

| The new girl is finally here and she's not exactly what I expected. I honestly thought Sakura would be a bit more like the Mikadono Sisters, maybe a mix of Kazuki and Miwa. I didn't expect her to be a massive Miwa fangirl and be a lot more like Yuu with how much of a klutz she is. xD Not gonna lie tho, I was a bit upset when Sakura interrupted Miwa and Yuu's lunch time but as the episode progressed, she actually grew on me. While Yuu is content supporting people, I like how Sakura wants to be the main character of her life even if she's not as gifted as Miwa. And based on Sakura's interactions with Yuu, I think she's definitely the fourth secret love interest. I mean, Miwa, Niko, and Kazuki already see Sakura as a threat despite Yuu only interacting with her a few times. Yeeeeep, saw that coming. I mean, where would the conflict be in this arc if Miwa just steamrolls Sakura? I am curious what's causing Miwa's slump, tho. Sshe's been pretty much the same these past few episodes, and I don't think we've seen any recent changes with her except for her having a crush on Yuu, and I doubt that's what's affecting her performance. That final scene between Miwa and Yuu was adorable. Hopefully, Yuu's fancy Soothing Night Kittens dessert helps Miwa bounce back in her next match against Sakura. |

| The Mikadono sisters are cute today too... I really thought Sakura would be a pure normal girl, but then she's literally just a female version of Yuu instead lol, they do share a lot of similarities, ponkotsu duo. Not only could she be Miwa's rival in Shogi, she'll probably be a love rival for all the girls too. ((Something something harem romcom pattern where the MC's main love interest (for now) is outside the main girls or something)) Miwa since the last episode has looked unmotivated, and now she lost this match too, she is definitely in a slump, now Yuu needs to do something to help her get back on track;; that midnight snack dessert was really cute. |

| I like Sakura's addition to the show, it makes Yuu look less useless when standing next to the prodigies. Miwa consuming sugar at night could cause health issue such as diabetes. Wonder what she's doing to prevent that from happening. How she looks at you vs how she looks at him:  |

| Usually I don't really like characters that added later on, but I like Sakura, she is cute and her being as clumsy as Yuu is just funny. I also like her speech about being her own main character or whatever she says exactly. |

Niko still best but yeah number 2 is got taken todayπ Normally I hate that "you are eny rival be better even though you still the best" thing. But she actually a good contrast to Yuu who fights to be top against naturally talented people unlike him who just accepts it. She lashed out at Yuu for absolute right reasons. I mean he is waking up till late night sleeping at corridor just to indulge Miwa. Yes sweet scene(many ways) but just drives home Sakura point even more. Seen miles away Miwa losing the first game but she will probably win anyway. I will be extremely happy if Sakura wins and rooting for her. Always be backing and underdog against genuines. Late entries are usually doomed but I won't be displeased if this get disproven in this anime. |

| Ayy, finally, some Miwa stuff ever since the fourth episode; also interesting how we finally have the first tonally different main girl arc from the rest. Kazuki and Niko had such serious arcs but Miwa's is a lot more laid back. At first I wasn't really sure what to think of the episode since Sakura felt like a comedy character, but she really is a fun character who gives the series a fresh new girl to seep out some stereotypical romcom stuff from. |
| Miwa's rival Sakura is pretty cool, we had some funny moments between her and Yuu lol. Though surprisingly Sakura actually defeated Miwa wow. The chocolate dessert that Yuu made at the end made me hungry, it looked way too yummy ahah |
