why are people hating on the character design?

I mean yes they don't look like your normal anime characters but that is good. There are so many shows that feature the classic anime character design why hate on something that is diffrent? And why would a society that is anti capitalism not be somewhat alternative looking. Also hating on tattoos in anime is boring. Feel free to share your opinion :)

Wait what? Where are people hating on the character designs? Are the closet shut-in keyboard warriors of twitter back at it again? On god people fear creativity and artistic choices. Like I've seen people hate Jojo, One Piece and now Gachiakuta.

Then again, I don't think their has been too much hate about it anywhere else. I am not on twitter so I'm assuming that's where the hate is being spread?

I guess the designs are a little off, but that's on purpose I would say. But I can see why someone wouldn't like it and I've seen such comments in the episode discussions.

Of course people tend to voice their opinions as if they're objective truths, but that's nothing new.

Dislike i can understand, everyone has different taste

But to outright hate it is just plain ignorant

Personally i love the unique character designs, and Bones did an impeccable job adapting a manga with such a stunning artstyle

well, I'm gonna say people have become way wayyyyy dumber these days. they don't understand creativity. the people who are hating want all the anime characters to look the same? so should everyone look like gojo???
the character design isn't regular but I like it. I love the eyes, some of them are lively, while others look dead, their eyes are drawn really well.
as for tje bodies, I love the exaggerations. the skinny limbs of the younger ones but then the sharp knees and hip bones and big feet..the older ones being more robust...I just love it.
it does remind me alot of those DC cartoons that would come on TV during early 2000s.
anyway, the hate is illogical but then again, haters can hate on anything.
people are hating on TFFBWD cause it'd a romance, they're hating TSHD because its queer so...theu basically have nothing better to do than just sit in their rooms and hide behind a screen and hate.

Honestly loving Gachiakuta so far. The character designs feel fresh and actually fit the chaotic, rebellious vibe of the story. Yeah, they’re different from the usual anime look, but that’s what makes them interesting. The tattoos and streetwear style give the world more personality. Animation’s smooth, fights look great, and the setting already has me hooked. Not for everyone, but that’s exactly why it works.

People are hating on them? I think they’re so good! One of the standout parts of the show, art-wise. I think Rudo, Enjin, Zanka, Riyo, and Semia all have great designs. The eyes, hands, and hair are the best parts to me. Riyo’s hair especially is insane to me that they can animate that mess lol

Gachiakuta is already one of my top favorite in character designs—it’s edgy, fun, and all-around top-tier when considering story and theme alignment. I will say it is also one of the few I can appreciate the anime over the manga for too, but with trash heaps as a backdrop, color and animation really up the ante. Add the OP/ED—Gachiakuta is an all around GEM and one of the best of this season.

I think the designs are good, it’s better to think outside the box with designs, you want a character to look distinctive and recognisable even if it looks ‘bad’ to the eye, me personally, I love the designs, except when they gave Rudo that boring blue hoodie, which will be temporary

What society is looking these days are a resemblance of their fav animes, if doesn’t look like it won’t be accepted. That’s the poor mentality when judging new age anime, not everything have to be like your Oshi no Ko or Kimetsu no Yaiba etc… the art is new and fresh. Lastly, the art is the essence of the author.

Character design is the only good part

I can't say I'm overly enjoying it otherwise. There are some good moments of "lore" and mystery, and the plunger fight was hilarious. But I'm not as into this as I was hoping/expecting
