| When I first started watching anime I was just a kid and literally just typed in random words and watched it without reading synopsis’s or if I thought the cover was pretty. But now I’m more diligent and even if a show gets called peak to all hell I can’t watch it bc of things. Monogatari for example. |

| I just also remember there was a time in this industry where it was popular to antromorphize absolutely everything and turn it into cute anime girls. There was even an artbook from this dark era where real life dictators are moe-ized. But the weirdest thing from that time period I heard about was no doubt Akikan. Which is about antromorphized soda cans made to fight to determine is steel is a better material to make cans than aluminum. I think I lost braincells just from remembering that premise and writing it up. |

Nearly every Avant Garde anime. They either have weird artstyle, creepy visuals/animation, excessive use of psychedelics and abstract symbolism, or all of these combined. Not my cup of tea.

| Rurouni Kenshin. I tried to get into it for a while, watching the remake, and some of the live action movies. But knowing the author is a pedophile...yeah no, it was so weird for me, so I stopped consuming everything Watsuki related. Boruto I do not want to get into either, I think it was stupid to expand the Naruto lore after the main manga ended. Maybe I will watch the movie but only for Naruto and Sasuke VS Momoshiki. Kakegurui, I tried getting into it around my early years of high school but it was too weird for me. So I stopped watching. Similar case with High School DXD, but it was also because I found it very forgettable outside the fanservice. |

| @Fukoku Avant Garde is a genre which has an unconventional/non-straightforward way of storytelling. Sometimes the plot isn't as important as the overall message, but understanding what the message even is proves difficult, because they're often left completely to the interpretation of the viewers. Most of them also use crazy visuals and psychedelics that makes the average viewer's head spin. |

| Abunai Sisters: Koko & Mika Art style: Like early PS2 graphics decided to do reality TV. Sora no Woto War-themed moe girls playing trumpets in dystopia. Gag Manga Biyori Looks like a fever dream doodled in a middle school math notebook. |
| I have my own turn-offs (isekai, "high medieval European" fantasy, anthropomorphic animals like Beastars) but the show that just gives off the foulest of vibes to me is Fairy Tail. I can't explain why but it seems like the type of shit people watched when they were 11 in like 2009-2014 and then decided it was peak because of nostalgia. I've seen the first episode, I was even forced to watch a Christmas fanservice special OVA, and my opinion has not changed. |
