@RobertBobert sorry i didnt read all your posts lmaoooo anway this is what satoru nii said in an interview so take it as you will
@XemiiX3 I didn't expect you to follow all my comments, I just wrote that I would repeat them because I already answered this question before in another place. I've already watched the backstory episode at this point, and I have to say that while I still don't like the rather stereotypical portrayal, I don't have a problem with it overall. I'm not going to scream that a show is woke and offensive to my feelings just because it has a gender-uncomfortable gay or bisexual character. After all, I have a full two stacks for anime with good representation.

The assertion of Sakura having to walk on the tightrope as means of expressing the world around him, both forced and being hopeful for what lies ahead, it's just majestic storytelling. This, along with the vulnerability that he shows to the 1st Years being the Grade Captain far from their expectations, and their pep talk to him most certainly gave him a place to belong, regardless of if he's being troublesome or not. And the expectation being Grade Captain, everyone gels together with Sakura, in both good and bad times, even confessing their worst fears showing their camaraderie.

Bofurin's gathering from Umemiya is kind of standard, though Sakura having to be confronted by Tasuku "Tsubaki" Tsukakino dressing up as a girl and being one of the Four Kings of Furin, it certainly gave him a surprise alright, more than the affections that he showers to him being embarrassed by those all the same.

A date with Tsukakino? Who could say no to that lol, eh Sakura?

That tight rope sequence was beautifully animated. Sakura has finally accepted and embraced Bofurins support! I love to see it.

Tsubaki is great. I loved that bashful moment when Sakura saw his crush on Umemiya.

This was another wholesome episode!

I like how they’re doing a callback to the tightrope from the first episode of last season, but this time, things are different. Haruka has people there to catch him and make things less tense, but he doesn’t know how to handle things.

That apology he gave to everyone was him finally accepting the fact that there are people who will always stick by him regardless of his flaws. I like how Anzai, the guy who Haruka went out of his way for to get Nagato back, is the one who gave him the lecture he needed to understand that they are a unit. To celebrate Haruka’s new awakening, the class go to get omurice from Kotoha. I had a feeling that Haruka was gonna choose to go to Kotoha’s restaurant, because that’s where this all started.

And something quite amazing happened. Haruka for the first time genuinely laughed in joy, something we’ve never seen him do. He’s understanding what it’s really like to live life freely and happily and I’m glad I was able to witness such a thing.

Taiga has a perfectly rational fear of ghosts, considering that they can’t be killed or hit since well, THEY’RE GHOSTS. And it seems that Hayato may have a fear of Natto, which from a quick search seems to be a Japanese food that’s gooey and has a bad smell or something, but Hayato claimed that wasn’t true.

Hajime was about to butt in to this celebration, but Toma rightfully stopped him from ruining the moment, and Haruka sees one of the Crowned Kings, Tasuku Tsurakino, who letters introduces himself to Haruka and talks about how cool he looks. Haruka surprisingly returns the compliment and tells him that he looks cool. He also accepts that Tasuku likes to cross dress. We meet his Vice Captains, Seiryu Sakaki the older brother and Uryu Sakaki the younger brother.

While talking to Hajime while they’re eating his special Umemiya special Tonjiru, Tasuku expresses her love for Hajime, and that makes Haruka freak out. Tasuku has plans, so he leaves, but before him and his crew leave, he asks Haruka out on a date, which creates quite the reaction. Obviously Haruka has no experience with this kind of thing.

Hayato really doesn’t want the idea of him not liking Natto to be spread, so we’ll see if that spreads…

@Nanishteruno You could tell from his square jaw that's a guy. Just the general structure of the body gives it away. There's no mistaking him for a girl (unless you're stupid like Haruka).

Very adorable episode. There isn’t much to say about it, really, but it was such good vibes all around. I’m really glad Haruka has finally realized that it’s okay to be completely himself, since everyone else is being themselves too. He was afraid they wouldn’t accept his weaker side—Tsukasa is afraid of bugs (just like me lol), Hayato is afraid of natto, and Taiga is afraid of ghosts. Everyone has their own fears.

Fears aside, I’m glad he realized that the whole point of friendship is accepting each other, no matter what weaknesses you have. You stick together, accept one another, and trust that neither side will walk away just because they’ve seen a vulnerable side, else you were never friends in the first place.

Friendship aside, I hope Haruka starts to grow from this realization and stops getting so flustered over friendly vibes. It’s cute when he does, but I’d like to see him get more used to it—like how Hajime is—since Haruka still has a long way to go, with like two years still ahead of him.

Haruka aside, that cliffhanger was a bit weird. Didn't Tasuku just reveal that he's in love with Hajime? It was kind of confusing why someone who feels that way would immediately ask another guy out in front of his crush. I reckon it ain't so much a date as it is a hangout—maybe to talk about something important? No clue. In any case, I’m excited to see how Haruka responds and what’s going to happen if they do end up going out.
@Skuvan There is no "Tsukasa" that's afraid bugs. The guy's name is Takanashi and we don't know his first name as of this episode.

Stop making up names.

They very clearly stated Furin was an all-boys school from the get-go.

Besides, this is a series about how everyone deserves a place to be accepted and loved for who they are. It goes through multiple people's stories about finding their own place and brings Sakura along for the ride (which continues in the manga.) Of course there's going to be an LGBT+ character, it's a group that huge amounts of people irl still can't seem to accept just living their own lives. Tsubaki is double representation there because not only is he gay, but he prefers to dress outside his gender norm. (Because he's a man, not trans, confirmed by the author.)
@amentet No they didn't. No one said Furin is an all boy's school.

Three episodes of Sakura feeling bad about not being strong enough and having to rely on his buddies.

I'm happy for him, but we GET IT. Did something this simple need to be told at such a slow pace?

I sincerely hope that they get a move along, it's getting ridiculous at this point.
@perseii I enjoy it. One episode isn't enough to showcase the wall breaking and it simply wouldn't have the impact.

As boring as I found this episode to be, for some odd reason the team always decides to direct these SOL episode better than the actual fighting ones... Which ain't complaining, I mean I prefer these episodes to the mindless fighting anyday.

Also... femboy? Okay, you might have just gotten my attention again show.
@IzanaSolos I disagree with the premise that these are directed differently from the fighting episodes. They are both done well this season.

Sakura has found his place! Starting off the episode with the same tightrope imagery we got back on episode one is perfect. The analogy of how when you're walking on a tightrope it's just you up there, especially with no safety net in Sakura case here. He really has been alone most of his life. With the only person looking out for him being himself. Now he's finally found somewhere he doesn't need to walk on that rope. A place that soft and kind and considerate. Before that though Sakura is still hung up on apologizing to everyone in the class since he feels like he let them down. I loved what they all said to him, that even if Sakura has lame or weak sides that doesn't change how they see him. Everyone has those aspects of themselves they wish were never seen. But that's ok! They're nothing to be afraid or embarrassed about. Its ok. Sakura seeing their reactions had be tearing up. Because those are hard words to accept. I'm glad Sakura could finally let them in and release this burden he's been carrying. Still a ways to go but this is an important step.

Gatherings on the roof with Umemiya can go either way. A nice heartfelt talk or he's gushing about his plants. Or both in this instance! Inviting everyone up to mingle among the teams and grades. It's smart to have them all see each other so there's no discontent or rivalry built up between them being separate. Sakura finally meets another of the four kings, Tsubaki. Who dresses very feminine but is still a guy as they said. Sakura being accepting was sweet. Now he's about to go on a date!
@Dukino Haruka hasn't said yes, so there’s no proof that he will go on this date.

holy moly, these characters are so melodramatic all the time.
side note, I get that becoming an adult in this show's world makes you worthless, but does this school not have teachers?
@ComboSmooth I was questioning the non-existence of teachers and police from the beginning, but at this point it doesn't matter since we're too far in.

I always imagine that being homosexual in an all-boy (or all-girl) school must feel like heaven, but in real world there are gonna be a discrimination which will followed by bullying. But here in Furin High, there is no such thing, it's truly a utopia. Tsubaki is basically in an all-you-can-eat buffet situation, so lucky!
@phantomfandom Ayo that's such a weird way of putting it. They aren't meat you know (and don't you dare use meat to refer to you know what).

Sakura accepts his weaknesses and tries to rely on his friends. He sure has great friends. Having great friends like them is a blessing. Let me tell you. Everyone is cool and annoying but lovable.

Tsubaki-chan is very pretty. Sakura blushes way too hard. LOL

Yet another peaceful, or even you could say, funny episode. Still can't believe that Suo, who seems so calm, actually has a special relationship with natto (traditional Japanese food)—it seems that he really dislikes natto, wanting to avoid it at all costs 🀣

So 'she' was a dude. Not even a trans-girl? πŸ€”
Are trans-persons still a taboo subject in anime?
But, apart from her voice, everything else about her was feminine.

It's like they... half-entertain the existence of trans persons;
half-acknowledging they exist without going all the way.
Both accepting and denying them at the same time.
Why?

Anyway, I hope Sakura dates her/them.
It would be hilarious.

i guess am the only one.
Look i like the development with Sakura and all but unless this season is 20+ episodes, just progress the fucking plot.
Man am sorry to say but am dissapointed and not because there isn't fighting but even the fighting with the Keel guys was so...
I'm still hopeful but for an anime that is suppossed to be better than Tokyo Revengers, sorry to say im leaning towards revengers.
