| More introductions and even a welcoming party for Hairi, nice. What's also nice was the scene with Ao and Hairin with their snowball shaved ice fight, must feel good during the hot summer season (except maybe not on the butt lol) and grandma probably thinking ah to be young again. |

| I haven’t watched every Jun Maeda or Key adaptation to say this with 100% certainty, but like… are they all really this VN-esque? The dialogue feels straight out of a visual novel… and because of that, it just feels so slow and just… boring. |

| And that concludes the prologue. Kamome's first encounter was cut and the 1 million yen joke was cut too. I'm sure the anime only's will get a good laugh if they included the whole 1 million yen joke + the flavors of the shaved ice. Nonetheless, I still like it. OP and ED visuals are really good I should say. |

| Hairi slowly getting used to life on Torishirojima, and the girls that slowly come into view as the protagonists alongside him. Shiroha is still the girl of beauty, Tsumugi Wenders has the classic Kanon feel for Ayu's "Uguu", both Miki Nomura and Ryouichi Mitani for their "shirtless" battles, and the always missing Tenzen, which that fast ping-pong battle is just that. Together with Ao Sorakado, the welcome party for Hairi is in session, though missing the rather particular young girl Shiroha herself, who doesn't hang out much. A hot day eating shaved ice is a classic, but Hairi having to encounter Ao in the midst of changing, and the kicker to throw that same ice onto her butt, he tries to play it nice since he comes from an all-boys setting. The tit-for-tat being a similar Ice Bucket Challenge of sorts, and Hairi sure got what he wanted, though it's funny in its sexual innuendos. More than Miki not tolerating half-naked men, Umi is the same thing, that makes Hairi's life on the island a lot more happening. Though his real purpose being there for a Summer escape of sorts and seeing Shiroha in the midst of her wandering, his memories slowly come back to him, which she interprets as a time of ennui for him on the island, to "mend his broken wings" and restart life anew. Having Konomi Suzuki's main theme songs for the VN brought to the anime adaptation, is just so, SO, GOOD. |

| Anyone else feel that the "shirtless" guys being told they're exhibitionists is just flat out weird? Plenty of guys will go without shirts on islands all the time because they swim all throughout the day when it's hot, it's perfectly normal. Not only that but every single time it's because our MC got his shirt wet so he took it off to dry it and gets shot with water and treated like he's a weirdo. The "fan service" towards every female character and the weird treatment towards shirtless guys is really turning me away from this anime personally. |

| The loli's precious, must protect. Looks like she used to make fried rice and eat all alone. Other new characters seem fun too. Ao fanservice was nice. Also loving Koko chans voice for Shiroha. Always happy to see her get more main roles. |

| Takahaa is a natural-born sniper, hahahahahahahahaha. He really has a talent for sniping! He made me laugh so much — even though the anime is a total snoozefest and nothing pulls you in to keep watching, I still laughed… I don’t know why. There’s really nothing to comment on. The anime’s pacing is very slow. But I liked the ending theme… It changes with every episode.   |

| Why the FUCK did he have to throw the shaved ice on HER ASS The summer vibes are strong with this one. A strong over-arching narrative is not required, although we might have that to a certain extent regarding what happened to our main lead before coming to the island. Going through this series we will put the pieces together with him and cure his... amnesia... I guess? Whatever happens, I'm personally just hoping that there's no supernatural aspect to all this. Would be best just to keep it simple, just a group of friends having fun on the island and getting up to whatever shenanigans are on the itinerary of the day. |
