My older brother introduced me to anime when I was 7. He invited me to watch "Your Name" since it had just been released back then. after we finished it I didn't watch any more anime until the pandemic when I consumed a lot of manga and anime.
@Conxv Oh snap! So, you got into anime during the lockdown arc of humanity ๐Ÿ˜‚ I'm going to assume that either felt very weird for you or extremely natural?

I remember watching Pokémon (Diamond and Pearl) when that was airing television when I was little and I knew of a lot of anime from people's personal websites/shrines and Deviantart pages. It wasn't until I was in secondary school (age 11 or so) that I got into it from my friends at the time and the online spaces I was in. I watched Death Note, Kuroshitsuji, Ouran High School, Free! (which I found my DVD boxset of recently lmao), among others but kinda fell off when I was about 14. The last series I remember watching front to back in my teens was Yuri!!! on Ice. After that I just watched the occassionaly Ghibli or Satoshi Kon film until this past year. It was getting into the Persona game series that made me want to pick anime back up. ^____^
@preservedfigs Dude, I'm so glad you got back into anime, and it wasn't until three years ago I got into Persona, I have Persona 5 which is a really good game. Also, I had no idea people were inspired by DeviantArt to become weebs, that's cool.

@Centsicles Bleach is a great anime, and ever since they started animating the last arc, I've been excited for it ever since. As for Naruto, I've watched Naruto since I was in high school and overall, it too was a great anime.

I watched some Studio Ghibli films when I was little. Spirited Away was the first one, I think. I did see the first Pokemon movie but didn't like it very much. My parents didn't pay for subscription TV so when we got digital TV it was through a Freeview box. Consequently children's TV in our house was limited to CBBC, CITV, and free-to-air digital channels, particularly Kix! (now called Pop Max) This led to me watching an... unusual selection of anime TV series. I remember watching:

My first animes were Pokemon, Digimon, HXH1999, YUGIOH, Captain Tsubasa among others

@FZREMAKE Will do! Thanks, and I'll get right on it. Maybe I'll do a review on the entire Fate series as a whole, idk why, but I feel the Fate series is a heavily underrated series and it should be more in the limelight, as I've yet to hate anything about the series at all. I even use to play the gacha game for Fate, but I had to stop due to money issues because Gacha pulls are expensive T_T
@TheAnimeLogician Many people don't watch it because of the confusing watch order. Once you get past that, it's an interestingly watch.
Also, I never payed a single dollar for their gacha games. Used to play with the characters I have.

@BilboBaggins365 That makes sense, only reason why I never feel burnout form anime is because I make anime content; Tierlist, news videos, documentaries, theoretical discussions based on what anime character is stronger or who best girl is?

It's all fun to me and my passion for anime will never die. Soon when I purchase my 4-string bass guitar and my half stack amp I will do anime covers on my channel.
@TheAnimeLogician Well that's good it's a creative outlet for you. Anime has encouraged me to engage in that more myself at least. I don't think I could avoid burning out on anything frankly, you always need some variety. Though yeah I have wanted to watch more anime than I have of late.

When I was a child, I was watching pokemon. Not because it's an anime, but because I was liking it much.

Later on, there was someone in my class who was really into anime and manga. I mean, she was only 12 and already having a Death Note. In the library of my school, I've started to read Detective Conan. After some time, I thought it would be cool to watch anime as a hobby, so I've started watching anime with titles such as FMA: Brotherhood, Cowboy Bebop, 11Eyes, To Love-Ru and Samurai Girls.

My introduction was a school project.Back in middle school we had something called research work where the teacher would pick a topic every week and each group of students had to do homework based on it. One day, the topic was cartoons from different countries and the one my group got was anime. Now in my case I didn't know what exactly anime was, (besides some I watched on tv as a kid like pokemon, yugioh, dash kappei etc.) so I decided to watch some random titles I found online. One of them was Tokyo ghoul (which I droped it) and Noragami which I completed. After that I kept watching more and more and the rest is history.

My brother is the one who introduced me to video games. He is the reason why PS2 games were a big part of my childhood.

Like most of you guys, Pokémon (still to this day my favorite video game franchise) was essentially my "gateway" into the anime world. I watched the Gen 4 anime back when it first aired on Cartoon Network and was immediately fascinated by it. I didn't really get into anime other than Pokémon until February 2020, when I got bombarded by YouTube with random recommendations about True Tears, a somewhat generic romance anime created by P.A. Works. I completed the anime in about two days and couldn't get over the conclusion (best girl didn't win, much to my dismay). Fed up with the way the anime concluded, I decided to rewatch the whole damn thing a few times immediately after completing it in the pious hope that my favorite girl would win somehow ๐Ÿ˜น๐Ÿ˜น๐Ÿ˜น

@FZREMAKE True, as soon as I started looking up the release dates of the anime series I would then watch in certain order to where everything made sense, I will say Sakura's pathing made me the saddest, as watching her three part movie series, you start to learn a lot about her that you didn't know before and honestly, I possibly did cry in one of the parts of the movie discovering what had happened to her.

As for the gatcha, I only ever spent money on a character I wanted if I already had a copy of that 5-star character and was sure I would get another few copies to upgrade them fully. I upgraded a 5-star character all the wat at one point in time, but I forgot the name of the character. I believe it was a mage though.

@BilboBaggins365 Thanks, usually I dislike the mundane stuff like work or just talking about the sky being blue and the obvious, but if we were to talk about ideas or things within that nature, I could do that all day. I also plan on releasing my electronic music to my channel and even my metal music once I get the chance.

I also want to do Let's Plays and cover anime songs with my guitar or bass.

@pk8list That must have been interesting but weird at the same time. I mean, I don't mind looking into things where research is needed, but group work is where I suck at lol and yeah, Tokyo Ghoul was good at first, but it fell off later into season 2. @MeguSae38 That's awesome! I have my own manga collection, so it makes sense. Some people watch anime then read the manga, but some people are the opposite. Read the manga first, then watch the anime. It also makes sense to do that anyways, as if you read the manga to Rosario + Vampire, you'd know the manga was much better compared to the anime. Same with Fullmetal Alchemist.

@SushiSuperLover That makes sense, sometimes we gotta make time for other things. As fun as it is being a weeb and doing all sorts of cool stuff, it's all mainly just a passion or hobby at the end of the day. I mean even though I make anime content on YouTube, I still love producing music, as well as lets plays of video games like Dark Souls.

I also have my studies to focus on and I need to watch anime on a seasonal bases so I can make content.
