How about a Tree of Fruit Faries? -> Unfortunately, not the 1st one with that idea, but I couldn't think of any other title.
@Swiggy Don't kill me, it won't get any better. And the damn program apparently won't allow me to use more than ~4 colours at the same time. After a while, it became too painful (literally) to fill in every remaining white pixel. :-|
Btw, what's your problem or beef with P********s?
A fruit fairy flies down and hands you an anti-pineapple educational brochure. Thanks for participating!
Excuse my lack of skill but this is a "Fruit Fairy" stealing the life force from the fruit in a fruit bowl in order to speed up the growth of fruit on a tree inspired by the fact that fruit seem to rot way quicker when they're in season.
Peach wings, grape wand sways,
Bananas make her slippers—
Watch her slip away!
Mango crown askew,
Plums rolling out of her bag—
Oops, there goes her lunch!
Apples for earrings,
A pear dress, pineapple shoes—
Fashion victim, fruit.
A fruit fairy happily flies near you.
They raise a brow at the mention of bananas.
However, they stop dead in their tracks at the mention of pineapples.
You're now on the fairy neighborhood watch list, but thankfully not in danger. Thanks for participating!
I grew a tree as big as eyes could see
The roots are firm, yes strong as it should be
A trunk dark brown yet smooth as ivory
The leaves at top, the lushest canopy
I water and I watch that's what I do
From when it was a seed until it grew
The joy it brings to me I always knew
How this tree is my only friend that's true
The branches cradle me from day 'til night
I cry and weep and yet I am alright
Then laugh and smile and sing I feel so light
And then I ask my self is this all right?
Oh loneliness and pain is not a chore
My swaying tree could dance and I adore
Maybe I'm just lonely... and its a bore
This tree gives me 1-up, it should be called a "four"
please excuse the extra spacing sometimes in the text. my space bar on the keyboard is sticky and i cant figure out why. ive tried cleaning it already and it still sticks.
Dragonfruit fairy! Is just a rushed sketched and I don't know how to color correctly so...
I tried doing this digital but it was worse than this one lmao
This is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to actual events or persons is purely coincidental.
Ok to highlight.
I like filling my head with something apart from the subject matter during long lectures. I can't help it sometimes. Now, for example, I'm reminiscing about my high school years. About the carefree early years, and how they slowly evolve into choosing a college and studying for entrance exams.
But there were bright spots amid all that gloom - my time with Chloe. We were classmates and, I like to think, best friends. Even though we both never said it out loud. Also, I love her. That, I also did not say out loud. Ever. I can at least be honest with myself in my head, though. I am such a miserable coward… We still keep in touch, however…
"Ms. Swanson, please pay attention. This will be on the upcoming test." The professor is as vigilant as ever and catches me with a vacant expression like he always does.
I felt someone nudging me at the elbow, whisperering.
"Emily, you know he'll chew you out if you don't pass the test?" my friend reminded me.
"I know, Luke, I know. Ugh…" I whispered back.

On my way home from college, I noticed a peculiar billboard. It was some kind of a delivery service ad. It said "Auntie Jane's Fruit Delivery". There was a magical fairy with wings holding a basket with a variety of fruit. Her costume was green with some pink elements. I think she is cute.
Looking back on it, now I want some sweet sugary apples… Give me that iron, vitamin C and whatnot!
***
After coming home, I caved in and ordered some apples. After all, my dad always told me to eat fruit when I was little. I'm certain he won't mind if I spend my allowance on some premium fresh apples. I will pass the time by studying in the meantime…
"Ding dong!" The doorbell rang.
That was quicker than I expected. Well, better hurry and open the door! The apples lose their freshness every second!
"Auntie Jane's Fruit Delivery! Fresh"–the delivery person quickly looked at their tablet to check something–"apples for you!" With a strained smile, they handed the bag of nice apples to me. "We wish you a magical eveni…"
"Chloe? Is this you?" The words came out of my mouth on their own. The delivery person looks very much like her.
"Emily? Oh hi! Small world, is it?
Good to see you." She said, now with a warner, gentle smile. I couldn't help but smile back.
"Didn't expect to meet you like this here. And in this fairy costume. Ha ha!" Her green and pink uniform had small wings and a green baseball cap. She gave me her usual look that said "look over your shoulder from now on". She didn't mean it, of course, but it shows that she doesn't like it. "It looks cute on you, though. Honest." I had to say it to make her feel better. And I really was honest.
"Oh come on, these loose pants are lame and what about those wings? Ugh! I look like a Halloween trick-or-treating kid! In April!" She complained. "I'm keeping this on the hush-hush because it's ridiculous!"
"Still, it looks better on you than you think." What am I saying?
"I hope so anyway. Ha ha!" The uniform is clearly making her self-conscious.
"Working part time?" I asked.
"Yes. I need some extra income now. I think"–she took a pause–"I'm gonna get married." She said quietly, smiling. "I want to pull my weight too, and show that I'm not a freeloader!" She added, proudly and with hands on her waist.
Inside me, something jolted and I felt as if a cold wind was blowing on my back. My peripheral vision darkened a little. On top of that, my facial expression must have changed. I have to say something to save myself!
"Oh, I'm so happy for you! He sure is a lucky guy!" I blurted out. This is the standard response, right?
"Um, it's a she." She corrected me, having averted her eyes down, almost seeming wounded.
"Oh, I.. I'm sorry, I didn't know." What?
"Ah, it's fine. Not the first time, really." She waved her hand off and smiled still. "If all goes well, we'll send you an invitation!" She winked playfully.
"Oh? I'm… looking forward to it." I had to put a smile on my face.
"How could I forget about my bestie from high school, right?" She grinned. Her tablet made a noise. "Oh crap crap crap! I have more stuff to deliver. I'm so sorry, I gotta go." She started to quickly step towards her delivery car, green and pink, like her uniform. "I'll text you later, ok?"
"Yeah, sure!" I tried to smile, waving her goodbye.
She got into the car and drove away. Fairies don't fly, apparently.

I like filling my head with something apart from the jumbled thoughts I have when I'm feeling down and anxious. I can't help it sometimes. Now, for example, I'm studying in my room to make up for the things I missed in class.
This evening sure is a memorable one. I'm still a coward. But I have apples now.
Deep in the garden, where whispers play,
Lived a potato fairy, humble and gray.
She'd watch the fruit fairies, bright and grand,
Dancing with apples in a sparkling band.
“Oh, how they shimmer, so sweet and spry,
With colors like rainbows against the sky!
While I, a tuber, so plain and stout,
Am left in the soil, my magic left out.”
So she donned a green cape, fuzzy and sleek,
Painted her wings in a kiwi streak.
With seeds on her cheeks and a fruity grin,
She flew to their grove and tried to fit in.
"Behold," she sang, "a kiwi so rare!
I bring you sweetness beyond compare."
The fruit fairies cheered, her disguise so fine,
And welcomed her to their nectar vine.
