| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

| Ruby now suspects it seriously and I don't blame her for that in the slightest. It's a lot to take in so quickly for her. Her entire world just shattered in front of her. Aqua kinda moved on from all this revenge now but it seems like this is time for Ruby to shine. The music video was amazing. I really loved it. They're kinda big now which is good for them. Aside from that, Aqua and Akane are officially dating now which is cute. I'm happy for them. As for Ruby and Aqua's father. looks like he does it all the time, another victim bites the dust through his hands. 3rd Season announced. Can't wait. |

| One of the best anime in years, one of the biggest media events of the year. How would this not AOTY easily? Oh right, Frieren I guess. Haven't finished that one, but this was great. Can't wait for S3. And the manga's ending soon. Poor Ruby, I hope she finds her way. |

| Damnit Ruby just talk to Aqua! Especially now that you suspect he's been on a revenge plot this whole time. He never had any real reason to bring it up to you, but now you know due to this fucking supernatural crow god that at the very least knows about the reincarnation. |
| Although I found the Tokyo Blade arc dull overall (I beleive I stopped reading the manga around the same time), season 2 really picked up steam with the last few episodes and sets up the excitement for the next season. Now to fight back the urge to continue on catching up via the manga. |

| Nice transitional episode for what's coming next now that Aqua's previous body has been found and that his relationship with Akane has been "sealed" (nice kiss though), meanwhile Ruby is in full revenge mode not to mention these crow girl scenes being enigmatic... also I like the MV they did ahaha. And wow... that post credit scene?! |

| This season was really good ! Different from the first, but very good. The first arc was an interesting dive into the work behind a play, and the second arc was a pretty great return to the mystery. I wasn't sure I would like for the story to focus so much on the reincarantions, but so far it handled it a lot better than I thought. The only real issue I have with it is that if both Aqua and Ruby deep down still are the person they used to be before their death, this makes Aqua's relationship with Akane very questionable (although brought up by Akane's and Ruby's discussion about age differences), but otherwise, honestly, it's surprisingly well-done. I liked how it gave a lot more weight to Aqua's obsession with Ai, and it's bringing some interesting development for Ruby, who so far wasn't very well rounded compared to the rest of the cast. Speaking of the cast, this season really did a good job at developing most of them, even the side characters. I'm looking forward to what's next ! |

| I've finished binging most anime from the 2024 summer season that caught my interest and I've got to say that Oshi no Ko blew the rest of the anime this season out of the water and it's not even close. The next highest rated anime this season on this site "Makeine" is garbage... ehem, average at best compared to Oshi no Ko. I've already read the manga and came in with the full knowledge of what's gonna happen and I'm still very much impressed by how they adapted this season. Sure, Oshi no Ko is a popular series, so they have the animation budget and great people working behind the scenes. But that doesn't take away from how amazing the anime turned out to be. I also liked the fact that they chose Miyano Mamoru to be the VA of Kamiki Hikaru. I always wondered which unfortunate seiyuu is gonna have to voice the dreaded character of their dad but if it's the ever brilliant Miyano-san who has tons of fangirls all over Japan, it's no problem at all haha. I can't wait for the Ruby arc next season where Ruby finds out Aqua is Sensei to get adapted. The reunion of Sarina-chan and Sensei after so long was one of the most anticipated scenes for me in the manga and I felt satisfied reading those chapters. But the anime/manga community with their inherent brain rot had a field day with the following chapters which kinda diminished the impact of their happy reunion after all the sufferings they went through in their past lives and this one. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to watching more Oshi no Ko in the future. I heard the manga is nearing it's ending. Can't wait to catch up once it gets completed. Hopefully, we get a satisfying happy ending. It's not too much to ask for right? I've recently read some novels with repeated tragedy endings and it's kinda bad for my heart. I don't thing I would be able to handle a tragic ending for Oshi no Ko. Seeing how popular this work is and how the author is the same as the one who made Kaguya-sama, I'm hopeful and leaning more towards a happy ending. |

| What a finale. Ruby's entering her "dark star" arc by the looks of things, and the murder of Ai is coming back to the forefront of the plot, which is exciting to see. Some very confusing teases at the end with multiple new "star" characters being introduced - it'll be interesting to see how they tie into the same motif being used with Ai and her kids. The whole supernatural element in these last few episodes has really hooked me, I never would have thought when I first started watching Oshi No Ko I'd be getting into a supernatural murder mystery but I've been hooked since that first episode and this finale is keeping me on the line. Looking forward to the third season. |

| I guess the show is getting more explicit with the supernatural element? Not a one off of being reborn but now a crow girl gets one of her birds to lead Ruby and Akane to a body? Passes off breadcrumbs to Ruby about her mother and doctor/crush murder? Don't know what she gets out of it, will have to find out next season I guess. More Ruby focused in S3 seemingly, don't know how can just do a 6month timeskip, better fill in some blanks when show comes back. I enjoyed these last few episodes quite a lot but so much of the season was taken up with the Tokyo Blade play and I was not as interested in that. Wasn't bored but its the difference between finding something fantastic or just being good. Don't think I can rate this season as highly as S1, it intertwined the search for the murderer of Ai with navigating through show business much better and I found the emotional hits to be stronger. S2 last couple eps hit hard but doesn't make up for the rest of the season not advancing the overall story, really felt like it was running in place. I'm thinking flat 8/10 overall |
