Hina episode last week so it’s only right we bounce back with a Chinatsu one! Loved she and Taiki get some bonding time today, especially when they pretended to not know each other on the walk home πŸ₯°

But whew that ending, Hina has got BOLD after that depression speedrun last week lol. She know it’s now or never to make an impression with Taiki and even offering to make him a homemade bento in front of everyone?! That smile man.. Taiki is a lucky dude, lmao. Think this is the first time we’ve seen Chinatsu get jealous too so things should really get fun from here on out

not meaning to hate but it felt like the animation was a bit wonky, it was still pretty decent but the match with haryu and some other non-important scenes you can really feel the difference, idk let me know what yall think

The mouths are noticeably delayed when there is character dialogue.. Very concerning production-wise.

I hope they step it up in some important episodes.

Yeah, I agree.
There is a noticable decrease in quality compared to the other episodes so far.

Taiki was finally able to make his first win against Haryu-senpai, Taiki began to show his progress.

Even though Hina only appeared for a short time, she already showed that she is the best girl. Does Chii seem to be "jealous" of Hina eating karaage from Taiki or is she "jealous" of Hina being close to Taiki!?

Had to use fansubs. Man, the way they're handling the show seems like they want it to fail like so many other anime in Netflix jail. Thankfully, somehow this show manages to persist and became one of the most popular shows of the season. Which is really surprising cause I never expected a sports anime with a confusing release would do this well. Truly an anomaly.

Anyway, it seems like this anime really won't focus on the sports aspect much. Cause it basically skips all the matches or only shows some highlights. That's a positive for me cause I can never really focus on the sports aspect as much as the other aspects. The pacing of the anime is pretty fast cause it doesn't have to spend more time on the sports aspect too much too. But it's kind of a shame. Maybe it'll spend more time with the badminton matches. Who knows.

So, Taiki will confess to Chinatsu after getting into Inter-High huh. I'm not sure what that is but it's good that he has a clear goal now. I'm rooting for him. But it seems like Chinatsu is still under the false impression that he's into Chono... It might accidentally work out for Chono depending on how this goes...

Taiki is making progress at long last against Haryu by winning one set against him. While it was a shame that they ran out of time during the 3rd set, Haryu did say to Taiki that they want to resume their battle at the upcoming competition, so he wants Taiki to not lose until he and Haryu meet again if things go according to plan. This will certainly motivate both guys to give it their all.

As for the girls basketball team, their progress towards Inter-High is going well, but their fierce rivals are also doing well. Having their match recorded by their rivals did piss off Chinatsu's teammate, but Chinatsu herself was calm about it, showing how determined she is in wanting her team to win against them if they do go head-to-head in the qualifiers.

The scene at the local convenience store was enjoyable. Hina smoothly taking a piece of fried chicken from Taiki without asking was very cute, but it does show how easier it is to the two of them to converse between each other compared to Taiki and Chinatsu. Still, at least Chinatsu had a nice talk with Taiki a little while later while also having one of his fried chicken pieces as well. I want some myself now! XD

And with that, I do hope that both Taiki and Chinatsu do well in their respective competitions. It will be difficult, but regardless if they succeed or fail, I hope they perform at their very best and with no regrets.

I was wondering where the new episode was last night, thankfully it’s here today but with fansubs, honestly I liked them more than the official Netflix subs, they actually put the subtitles for signs near the signs lol. But I guess this means the thing where subbed episodes were releasing a week early isn’t happening anymore, unfortunate, now I gotta decide if I wanna stick with the regular release or watch this a day late and probably move another show to make room for it on Friday, why does one of the best shows of the season gotta have a weird release like this lol. Oh well, it is what it is, as long as I can still watch it.

And this episode had quite a bit of sports stuff, Taiki is finally making a dent in his matches with Haryu before the tournament, and Chinatsu and the rest of the girls’ basketball team are feeling the pressure from a team that beat them in the past, things are getting intense on both ends but Chinatsu and Taiki have each other to get through it with confidence, I really liked the reveal of Chinatsu’s silent fury in regards to what was said about her team lol. Taiki also had some nice imaginations this episode, the wedding and then swimsuit Chinatsu, let’s hope both of those are in his future for his and our sake lol.

And the last bit with the fried chicken was cute, Taiki I can tell you with certainty that Chinatsu was not envious over the fried chicken lol, no matter how delicious it is. And although I hate to end this post on a bad note, that interaction between Taiki and Hina looked kinda off where their mouthes weren’t moving for a moment, it wasn’t a big deal because the scene wasn’t all that important but it just felt a bit awkward.

Yeah I'm also liking that they are focusing more on the romance aspect than the sports tbh makes it way more interesting and engaging to watch.

I'd like to know what you actually were expecting from the hype cause imo it's been quite good.

Most of the characters aren't annoying, the pacing (though I've not read the manga) looks like it's been done well, the animation is good enough, the story is also engaging with good balance between the romance and the sports stuff at least in these 7 episodes

The sport action part of this anime has been consistently good.
Even during background you can see them animating the back and forth of badminton.
They didn't cut corner and just use static images during the unimportant scenes.
Huge contrary between that other sport anime that also start with the word Blue lol (Ao = Blue) , which even the most important scenes are PNG.

Ok so it wasn't just me that thought that the production values felt a bit off compared to previous episodes. Beyond that I thought the episode itself was pretty good with both Taiki and Chinatsu wanting to make it to the finals of their respective sports. I suspect Hina will be there too considering how talented she is in her sport and speaking of her, I think that she wanted people to know how close her and Taiki are and with Chinatsu as a rival I think she will be more aggressive/assertive. Chinatsu at least isn't just standing by and took a piece of chicken and then said that she is envious of Hina, which I think she's referring to how close they are to each other.

yeah its not really noticeable for a lot of ppl, but for my case im really a big fan of this anime and i want it to be perfect so the slight decrease in quality is apparent to me.
i hope they dont continue the rest of the episodes this way but its really understandable cz this season will be 24 eps so unless they have a big budget i think the animation quality will be like ep 7 for most of the remaining.

I watched it with Japanese subtitles, since English wasn’t available. I do know enough to where I can understand what’s happening.

Taiki was being very goofy, but wholesome with Chinatsu. It was nice of him to take her to the shrine.

I thought Hina was not gonna be in this episode, but she appeared at the end, stealing Taiki’s food lol.

Haha bro I totally forgot about the romance aspect of the show before Kyo brought up if Taiki is gonna ask Chinatsu out bc of the practice match between Taiki and Haryuu it was so good I was so into it before realizing this isn’t just a sports anime haha

Taiki acting like this is his first time seeing Chinatsu walk home and not knowing each other and carrying her bag was so funny but not as funny as Taiki daydreaming about being with Chinatsu all the way up to the point of marriage🀣🀣😭🀣😭

Hina is BOLD for taking Taiki’s chicken ANDDDD saying she’s gonna make him a bento tomorrow in front of EVERYONE I bet she’s realized that she’s gotta push harder to get him to fall in love with her😊

Chinatsu hella jelly by Hina’s actions that she had to get her lick back by asking Taiki for a piece and telling him that she’s envious of hina when she does that to him if I were Taiki I’d just date the both of them at the same time😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫

@MAKHL00F It's quite common for a series to have ups and down, especially on unimportant moments in the middle of a series.
Pretty much every single anime is like this, even the biggest IP.
Sure maybe there're some characters look off when they're in background, but it's almost unnoticeable unless you actively search for it.

Also kinda funny a lot of time when there's some drawing errors, people say it's the "animation quality" that goes down lolz.
Idk why people often tied art with animation. Art is art, animation is animation. If BD is out those drawing errors would most likely get fixed though.

Nagisa is so beautiful and hot. It's refreshing to see her. Her tall stature, short hair, and dedication to basketball, along with her supportive nature towards her teammates, I find her incredibly attractive woman, much more so than the stoic Chinatsu.
It's great to see her getting more screen time and allowing her character to shine.

As for Taiki, it's common for main characters in sports anime to have a mix of personal feelings and athletic aspirations that clash. His focus on Chinatsu and Inter High definitely adds depth to his character but I feel it also hinder his performance at times. Perhaps as the series progresses, we'll see him strike a better balance.

Regarding fried chicken, it is so quite calorie-dense. For athletes and fitness enthusiasts, it's important to be mindful of their diet to maintain peak performance. There are healthier alternatives that can still be tasty and satisfying.

Very cute episode! I'm glad we got some Hina there at the end, although it's only natural to have the focus not always be on her, of course. x)

I'm sad I couldn't watch it live 😭.

Edit:
After Hina's spotlight last week, it’s only fitting we get a Chinatsu-focused episode! I loved seeing her and Taiki share some quality bonding, especially when they pretended not to know each other on the walk home πŸ₯°

But wow, that ending—Hina is bold after that whirlwind of emotions last week! She's clearly decided it’s now or never to make her move with Taiki, even going so far as to offer him a homemade bento in front of everyone. That smile though... Taiki’s one lucky guy, lol. And this episode also marks the first time we’ve seen Chinatsu get jealous, so things are definitely about to get even more interesting from here!
