| I never thought Russian can be cute(I only think of it as hot when a man speaks it) Its kind of.. not weird but unusual except for the fact he has this russian childhood friend that is obviously not the main girl. Good to see something new for once. I've always been interested in this show I just can't withstand LN format. I like this good, to see something a little bit new |

Welp, here's the highly anticipated anime (I'm one of those peeps are were hyped for it lol). So far it seems really solid, there's nothing particularly that I dislike. The rating on this site so far is pretty high, above an 8, wonder how much it'll change as we progress through this anime.
That childhood memory had to be Masachika with Alya right? Or I wonder who that really is lol. We got that silly panchira moment too, sasuga rom-com moment.

Getting some flashback vibes from this show because my first ever GF was half Russian. When she used to say "I love you" in Russian, it sounded so... But anyone who's seen A Fish Called Wanda will know that Russian is the sexiest language in the world!

it was cute for the most part, but then it got WAYYYY hornier than I was expecting with the whole sock scene ending in a panty shot. and then he chased Alya around the school? the whole third act was just too much. I'm hoping this was just a one and done situation

The art, characters, animation, writing and the comedy all feel completely forgettable and just kind of... "there." Maybe the source material really goes places later? |
| pretty enjoyable, did kinda cringe at some moments. mostly due to the plot basically being "half-russian girl speaks russian language when she's flustered and it's really cute" but the animation is super pretty, i guess i'll see how it turns out |

| This has the makings of an amazing show. Promised girl element like Love Hina, Nisekoi and Quintessential Quintuplets. I love the tsundere element and low key fanservice. Really good OP. | @perseii It's a popular light novel romcom, that's about it. Alya's got a stand out design and is a tsundere which only increases the potential for being even more popular. Ultimately it is based on if you enjoy Alya and Masachika's interactions enough for the long-term as well as like the side cast enough since the actual story is very basic for the most part, nothing revolutionary about it if that is what you are looking for. And to be fair, this isn't a season that is stacked with huge shows everywhere so this being near the top isn't very surprising. |

| Meh, not my cup of tea. Good visuals and atmosphere, noice ecchi scene, although it feels like just another romcom (with emphasis put on romance and slice of life) anime. Russian language sounds like that famous "Engrish", just worse, in my opinion. It's a shame, because I was pretty hyped about that particular aspect of this anime. You know, to see rather well-done voice acting that mixes Japanese and Russian altogether in a satisfying way. That made me interested in this show in the first place. |

| Color me surprised I really was expecting some cheap-o comedy with a cute soft spoken silver haired girl, but it turned out to be a really cheeky romcom with actually likeable characters with more than one trait. I really dig Alya's cold tsun personality being used as a shield for her dere phase using russian. I also dig a lot Kuze as the male protag, finally an mc that is more than either the cool stoic lifeless LN protagonist or the opposite being the loud hyperactive virgin that can only express themselves with overreactions. He definitely reminds me of a more up to date Kyon from Haruhi in the way he can deflect some of Alya's remarks and also his internal monologues seeing thru her russian dere dialogues. YUki also feels like a really likeable 3rd wheel. She obviously also like Kuze, but she's also quite resourceful with her subtle and also not so subtle flirts. I really liked the great use of animation of her scooting over her chair towards Kuze during lunch time. The animation overall it's also really great, I'd say it's above the average romcom (that chase scene was chef's kiss). So far, this is easily the best premiere I've watched this week, including Isekai Suicide Squad. |

| damn, this was awesome lol multiple cute girls, funny interactions and stuff, i couldn't stop laughing for 20 minutes lmao the opening had a lot of interesting underwear and other outfits huh foot fetish people must be happy with this one :v also didn't expect the panties, specially a closeup, wtf i find it hard to believe that he could learn Russian so easily that he still understands everything after so many years, but sure, at least it's a lot of fun to see Alya thinking he doesn't understand her anyway, looks like this will be one of my favorites for this season, but i already expected that tbh :D just 1 episode and i already want to check the manga ... oh no. |

| The plot is bad. It goes more into the harem subplot despite being so obvious since first chapter that they like each other. It doesnt surprise me that people think its peak since all the anime community cares about its pretty pictures π€· |

| When I heard about this anime and Sumire Uesaka speaking Russian in it, I knew I would be there on release no matter what. It's pretty good. Pronunciations could be better, but nevertheless she did well. She stresses the right syllables, and the accent is cute too. My expectation was matched. That said, story-wise, I feel like MC's reasoning why he won't just say that he understands her is kinda weak. He knows she's flirting, but he imagines Alya's reaction to him admitting, goes "Naaah", and that's it. I'd prefer a better explanation why he wouldn't just take the chance right away. That aside, I liked the episode. The OP and the ED were good, and the animation was decent. |

| It's not like the dynamic of the main character getting treated like dirt and teased by a hot chick in school who's secretly into him and is actually shy despite her big talk is all that novel, but I thought this episode showed how solid execution can still deliver the goods with familiar stories. It was a lot of fun, looked great, I don't speak Russian but it sounds cute when Alya does it so good enough for me. One thing that was really refreshing about the show is the main character called the girl's bluff and didn't let her get out of it instead of just melting into a puddle. He stood his ground and didn't get pressured into joining the student club. Curious to see how this plays out. Didn't quite feel like him not teasing her back in Russian fit his character, but I dunno, maybe he's just into it. |
| Alya looks so pretty that I bet the production staff spent all the character design budget for her. We got a unique thing here; Russian girls. But, everything except that is just tropes you can find in any waifu bait anime, so nothing really special. I don't know what to expect other than the animation and Alya (obviously). |

This looked beautiful, and the OP was a treat, definite a cut above your typical romcom OP. Animation is going hard, and the chemistry seems to be developing nicely. Me and the wife are left wondering if the childhood friend roped him into the student council just because she needed a running mate, or she pushed all the work onto him, or (most likely) she was/is crushing on him. Gonna be interesting to find out.

| well well well best girl of the season is here. i didn't have any expectations for this. thought it would be another cliche highschool setting romcom but this is something unique. reading the title i just thought alya must be sometimes talking in russian but boy i didn't expect the dude to understand her lol. very nice and fun twist. the entire episode was highly entertaining. fmc is adorable, mc isn't a loser, the premise is interesting and fun, both the mc's (i think) like each other. what else could one expect from a romcom? no wonder this is so high rated for a romcom. 9/10. looking forward to next episode. |
