yosha!!!!!!!!!! Go Sera!!! Still, that was one heck of guts there. Most people wont attempt a diving header like that especially given how close the defender was, he coulda kicked him square on the head.

and although its already been shown before... Gino has some pretty scary accuracy..... even the best players in the world cant get it right all the time in a single match... but Gino is able to choose his spot and just send it there..... He chose to cross the free-kick but i'm willing to bet he woulda scored if he went for goal too.

What was up with the referee?! That foul needed a Yellow card.

Nice match. I love how Sera scored the last goal. Shevchenko once scored the same goal for A.C Milan but he got kicked in his forehead :(
Gino reminds me of David Beckham when he was at his best shape. He used to have the most accurate passes ever.

Nice Sera finally scores a goal. I like what the reporter said how Tsubaki will become the core of the team, I'm looking forward to that in season 2 ^^

If I remember correctly, the DVD sales weren't anything to boast about so their MIGHT not be a season 2 sadly. But let us hope! ;_;

We all knew ETU was going to have an upset against Osaka, but that match gave me this crazy, epic adrenaline boost like I was actually there. Good stuff! I want another season of that!

It has been a while since I loudly said "FUCK YEAH" to my screen. It was also good to see Sera solving unfinished business. A season 2 would be pretty cool.

Because you know, there is never enough Gino :>

I have to say when that orchestra music started playing during Sera's moment my heart starting going and i really got excited. This sort of felt like a final episode to me though O.o

The Osaka match left me with a poor impression though because It felt too drawn out. I understand that there is a lot of character development, but the pace was way to slow there. It is a shame because the show was able to get me pumped up at certain scenes but had plenty of 'meh' time to counter balance that out. I would watch a second season if it was made but i wouldn't care if they didn't.

Lol well Giant Killing is basically liddat... remember the match where they faced Nagoya or smth? I think it was 4 eps with tons of recaps. Since this Osaka match started in the 2x ep I thought it would be the last match of the season. Kinda feels like bleach if you ask me.

Tons of blood-pumping action when it's at its best, but one of the worst series when it's at its worst.

Indeed... Episodes like this one.. or the epic RAWWR from Murakoshi when he score the tieieng goal against Victory, or when they undoubtly won against Nagoya were awesome episodes... For episodes like those ones it's always something to be happy and glad of...

So not even a card for that damned Hiraga?! WTFFF! He completely deserved a Yellow Card since the foul was so obvious!!! Yeh wth!!! What the referee is Portugese or what? Well I guess I'm used to Mexican Referees... In the Mexican League that would be a Yellow Card... Thank godness the Foul ended in a goal.... BTW what an awesome goal... maybe Sugie fouled Osaka's defender, but doesn't matter since the referee is kinda blind and actually allowed the goal... I loved Osaka's GK confussion... and confidence... sure Gino is in a bad shape today... He's in such awesome shape that he can really do that... Yeh Gino also reminds me of Beckham in his good days.... Too bad he's not real hahahahah... I loved that pass....

Poor Dulfer... his pride and strategy was crushed! Hard, really hard... I feel bad for him, but seeing that he learns from it makes me happy since he will be an awesome enemy next time! Hiraga, Kubota and Hauer gotta feel like crap atm... But hey they will work harder too!

I liked what Fuji said.... ETU has changed... and the core of the team will be one player that will pull the whole team forward to a brighter future... Obviosu reference to Tsubaki... I'm happy he's there.... he provoked the foul for the second goal and also he made that awesome shot... dude he almost scored.... I guess he has to work on his shot accuracy... but he's such a promising player... I hope to see him keep on growing.... and Sera.... I understand now why Tatsumi uses him so much... first of all Sera needs confidence... and so he can exploit his abilities... In this case being persistent and an idiot.. hahahaha I was so surprised when he scored that goal....

So then next episode will have the filler flavor... or maybe not...

way to go ETU, although tsubaki didn't score the last goal, being predicted as the core player is good enough, he really is amazing, all the players as well lol

So no card? I guess the ref thought it was John O'Shea out there and chose to over look it. Good episode thought I thought they would draw the match out even more and end it with this. Interesting to find out Sera's use to the team and him diving for the ball.

Have to say I'm getting tired of these still, shocked images of everyone when a goal is scored before the celebration starts.

I guess this series is like a real football match, when there is action and lots of pace to it the episode is exciting but otherwise can be quite boring. Wonder how it will all end.

if you guys don't remember, the first ETU goal in the series was scored by Sera as well(I think ETU lost the match 2-1), so I think it had to be him to score this one. when the effort(Sera) surpass the talent(Tsubaki) and all that Naruto shit

and oh, the irony: ETU won the match against Osucker, and my team in real life is eliminated from the championship.

Definitely the most amazing, thrilling, epic episode ever for Giant Killing.
Dulfer's pride costed his team big time while Tatsumi's plans and will-analysed tactics for the match's circumstances led to the most glorious upset, and by the time Dulfer opend his eyes and gave up his philosophy it was too late.

even though Tatsumi's last two subs were quit unexpected, especially getting Sugie out for the midfielder Myano was quite a daring move , since he will only have Hama and Kuro as defenders against Osaka's forwards, while Tanba is originally a left winger and hence will focus mainly on supporting offense, it was really a brave all-out offensive tactic.

also pretty pleased at Sera who got to finish the match and finally prove his true potentials on the filed, that made so happy to that point I'd be satisfied for having only one season (just face it, it's %99 certain that we won't see a 2s, these types of shows never gets one, you have Eyeshield 21 as an example, also the sales aren't helping at all.)

I hope anyone familiar with the manga to tell us in which chapter does the anime ends?

ETU FTW

Actually you're wrong there, the first goal in the series was scored by Gino's free kick in the friendly against Tokyo Victory.

Sera's goal in the match ETU lost in front of Shimizu Impulse was the first goal in the league and not the series.

So next up is curry episode? No big game or anything. That's why this feels like the last.

Slow, dull and lame episode as always. It was totally anti-climactic and all the scenes animated in 3D were really ugly. Doesn't look like a proper sports anime, especially in the sports scenes, but the managers' battle are still nice overall.

a long time a anime episode doesn't make me to smile so much as this.

It was amazing, the Sera's goal, all. This episode explained really the anime title.

Great end for a great match.

For those who are curious:

- In the manga, the game ends in the 83th chapter, volume 9.

- The curry party is NOT filler, but it only happens a little later in the manga(end of volume 10). We´re skipping like 5 or 6 chapters, but I KNEW it´d be the best way to end the anime.

- If we ever get a second season, here´s some of this stuff we´ll get to see animated(SPOILERS):

I'm kind of annoyed because I already knew what was going to happen; somebody spoiled it on the last episode's discussion. I'm glad that Sera made the final goal, otherwise, he would have been a rather useless forward...only one more episode to go. My guess is that it will go over the reporter's paper and end similarly to how the first episode started.

Wow I totally loved this match, in the end everything went according to Tatsumi's plan :) I don't like him too much in his approach towards his team, he's really cruel and cold sometimes but everything he does is for the team after all. Guess drastic measures are needed to really change a team :)

I aboslutely LOVE Tsubaki, from the first time I just read his name in a review I knew he had my interest and when I saw him running in the first episode I was hooked, gotta love him. He's fast as hell, he easily outruns everyone, has great reflexes, a really good intuition, he doesn't give up and even though he's a little shy and stuff, he has the willpower to try and score ^^ And not to forget he scored the first goal and was the cause of the 2nd one, his charge made it possbile :) And of course his awesome match where he stopped the ball 2 times and scored! :D

Sera finally scores. I'm surprised Sugie scored since I thought it would be a penalty and Tsubaki would score.

Osaka totally fell apart in the second half. Tatsumi did a fine job coaching. It's good to know that despite only seeing one Tsubaki goal in the show, he'll be a key player for ETU. He's young, has killer speed and stamina, and fighting spirit.
