| Just watched the first of two hour-long specials that make up the final season part 3, and yeah, it was pretty good. I was planning to rewatch the whole thing closer to when the 2nd half airs later this year, but that first half alone instilled and reinvigorated so much hype in me that I just gotta re-watch it all now. And AOT was among my first five anime I believe, back when I started watching anime about 4 or 5 years ago. And now, having watched the rest of AOT as well as many more anime in general, I gotta say, I'm re-watching this with newfound appreciation and it's quite legendary. I took an anime like this for granted back then. This was always destined to be an epic. Just two complaints for this first episode: one, why would you give a mother her dead son's arm. Yikes. And two, this has already been addressed a lot already, but it bugs me that they say that wall is only 50 meters high. From how it looks in both anime and manga, it looks more like 500 meters fam, if not more. Yeah maybe they were just missing a zero there. Besides those very minor nitpicks, wow. What an opening episode. There's no question as to why this took the anime world by storm 10 years ago. |

| REWATCHING THE SERIES FOR THE SECOND TIME Just came to refresh my memories on how Eren EREN FOR LIFE! Also on the scene when Grisha asked Eren why he wanted to join the survey corps: R.I.P Carla Jaeger. She yelled out Eren and Mikasa's name. She loved Mikasa as her own. Notice how Armin was the first to run towards the scene when the Colossal showed up. Just thought it was interesting. ________**************________________ READ BELOW FOR SPOILERS  |

| Finally watching this after putting it off for so long, and already off to a great start! I'm pretty sure I saw like a clip of this a few years ago, and I remember not really being interested in it at all, but now I can't really see why. This was awesome! I need to see where this goes |

| [Re-watching] Time for a re-watch in anticipation for the final episode coming out soon. Only ever seen Season 1 and 2 as I wanted to wait for the series to have it's conclusion (only had to wait 6 years lol) Man ... it just sets the tone right away! Normally a death in the first episode wouldn't have much of an impact but damn this hits hard. Just a perfect episode setting up the mystery of wanting to know more about the world and the workings and just how brutal reality is for them. Also the OP is just fantastic still. |
