| Fern showing us why she deserves the 1st class mage title. It's no surprise due to her focus on magic since she was taken in by Heiter. Wirbel seems like a cool character. |
| Man I'm glad I waited to binge watch this especially with cliff-hangers like these. Frieren's probably gonna wipe the floor with everyone, but the question is how the heck are they gonna get the bird back from someone who is essentially the flash?? |

| A tense episode with some interesting moments. One of the best characers in this exam so far is Wirbel. His spells and the way he fights are amazing and i hope we see more of him throughout the show and im glad him and his team got a bird adn that there all pretty much ok. Wirbel getting Ubel bound by that spell was cool and quite unexpected i thought he was gonna end up being a not so important character but after last episdoe he seems to be a great guy. Fern pulling up was crazy and its cool how no one senses her or its very hard for them to sense her. The end of the episode with Denken and Frieren talking was interesting, i personally really like Denken aswell adn i would love if he passed the first exam though he is going up against Frieren so the chances are slim if he doesnt get thebird from there group. |

| Hm, I thought we'd get more action this episode, instead we got more exposure about the first-rank. Frieren is pretty calm so far, wonder how Denken measures up to her. |

| Another intense episode! Fern absolutely destroyed that other mage, as expected honestly. But on the other hand, Ubel lost to the other mage, and if it weren't for Fern she would have been killed. At the end of the day, it really seems that Ubel just wants to do some killing, and won't back off from that opportunity, like the other mage did. Frieren's bird was stolen, I wonder if they will be able to get it back in time. Knowing Frieren, they are probably getting it back. Anyways, this episode was really good, and it has been some time since the last episode of Frieren that was this intense, and I suppose the next episodes are all going to be like this too. Really liked how they showed us that each mage has its own backstory and motives. Denken seems to be a really interesting characters, and the white-haired one for sure made an impact. Fern's party was also quite strong too! But I must say, a 2nd episode in a row without Stark? That's a crime really, but it's understandable. |
| Übel seems to be more of a sorcerer than a wizard. Relying on intuition and charisma. Rely more on reflexes and natural adaptation. A Wizard is a parser and understands how magic works, it's like an architect or an engineer. A Sorcerer is like a singer, dancer, or artist who feels many aspects of their craft. Notice how Übel learns new spells. She studies the Wizard and learns the new spell through him, playing the role of the Sorcerer, like an actress. So among a bunch of wizards gathered in one place, there was a sorcerer. It's nice to see that kind of diversity and attention given even to the supporting characters. |

| Series is getting rather distracted at this point. Deviated from its main theme, which it did a pretty good job of exploring for the first 15 or so episodes. |

| Why has this show suddenly pivoted to battle shonen dog shit? Not to say I don't enjoy battle shonen dog shit but this feels like whiplash compared to the first cour, even down to the battle shonen trope of introducing 75 characters that nobody could possibly care about all at once. Boku no Mahou Academia was not what I signed up for and I'm starting to feel like I've been scammed! |
| More episodes of the first class mage training arc and it seems we get another one after this episode, Frieren and fern slayed all of their enemies so it looks like they are going to make it to the next test. Im curious if they will make this last the rest of the show because its taken up 3 episodes so far. |

| Too many names to keep track of. Fern is doing well, but Frieren and her group are not doing well. As the episode ended, it seems a battle between Frieren and Denken is about to start. Richter also mentioned why the first-class title exists, and a mention of Serie, who is a mage who knows nearly every spell in existence. Turns out she's an elf, too. This series continues to go through conflict with an interesting calm. Frieren especially finds things interesting, though appears bored. She also doesn't care about the first-class title. She's just doing it so she can continue north. Only one of Frieren and Fern need to achieve it, anyway. Let's see what happens next! |
