| Well damn. I thought there might be some form of injury or death via suicide but never depicted a double homicide. Makoto deserved it but Kotonoha started off the series just minding her own business and was completely ruined by the end. Talk about losing it. Still shocked. |

| I don't think this show is a 1 honestly. I hate Makoto and Sekai isn't pregnant??? Katsura's reason for thinking that Sekai wasn't pregnant made sense until she said that Makoto isn't the father since she is her bf like huh? MF knew her "boyfriend" was making out with every one in town |
| What an anime, I am deeply moved, infact am almost on the verge of crying. I have no words. This was revolutionary, told me how important morals are. Those deplorable characters were actually a symbolism, right? I cant express this piece of literature in words. I was actually happy when Makoto died. But later, I started feeling kinda bad too. Not out of sympathy but by the fact that he died without facing any consequences. In the end, I only want to say two words. |

| I can see why this ending still stands strong to many, albeit in the unconventional manner xD. In many ways, love triangles are very infuriating and difficult to keep up with especially when the main characters can't make their damn mind. Itou, on the other hand, my fudging lord, is he an idiot? Also, some of the side characters were ridiculous. Sekai's fake pregnancy call? I don't think the stomach would show any signs of foetus within the first few weeks so I really don't know what to make of Yandere Kotonoha's judgement. But, at the same time, stress could've clouded Sekai's judgement so that's another confusion. What a bind this is... Not going to lie, I feel like the show had some interesting ideas though. But like, it just failed, simply put. And Itou, for the love of God. I can see why a Japanese friend of mine told me to reconsider my proposed Japanese name for the course during my previous semester now. Going to have to settle with a 4/10 here. I did end up binging it so giving it any lower would feel off but, at the same time, there were just so many things that bothered me and so any higher is no-go too. |

| Positives: -Its unique. Cant deny that. -MC taking initiative in a romance anime, a harem anime at that. Thats a plus. -Unique memorable last three episodes. -MC gets character development. -You can see how the characters are affected by the whole drama of this anime. - I like the creepy background music it would use every now and then with the piano, like you know something is about to go down. It really sets the mood and atmosphere. -This anime has some realism = like how some girls will do eroticc stuff with a man who is not her boyfriend in order to try to win him over because she likes him; and how some people just go super-crazy if the relationship isnt working; and how girls want to be with the hott guy that all the other girls want; and how girls dont mind sharing a hott guy with other girls (I guess Makoto is considered a stud in this anime who is very popular with girls, as it was mentioned a couple of times throughout the anime). Negatives: -If sexx is something thats happening in the anime, then SHOW the sexx scenes, like in Yosuga No Sora. Dont just imply that is happened!!!! COME ON!!!!! -First five episodes were slow and meh. I get it = Its a deconstruction of the goofy male MC that for some reason has tons of women after him, so you gotta start generic, but damn, those first 5 episode were a DRAG. -This is kinda breaking the fourth wall, but Makoto's voice REALLY annoyed me. I loved his voice actor in many animes that he has voiced, but in this anime as Makoto, its just OUCH. I guess the voice actor played his role this way with Makoto to keep it in line with the deconstruction of the goofy-looking-male-MC in a harem. -Its kinda difficult many times to take this anime seriously due to the comedy scenes involved in the first 10 episodes, and Makoto with his goofy looking face and goofy reactions. - The superficial dialogue by the girls every now and then just made me roll my eyes, like = "I am Makoto's girlfriend", "I love Makoto more than anyone" etc. SHUT UP!!!!! JUST SHUT UP!!!!!! - School Days should have been 10 episodes and not 12 episodes, to speed up its pacing, especially in the beginning episodes and to cut down on the comedy-relaxing scenes. Overall, School Days was an enjoyable watch, but also a boring watch. BUT, if there is one thing that you cannot take away from School Days, is that it HAS A LOT OF HISTORICAL VALUE in the anime world and the anime community. It is right up there from a historical point of view with Full Metal Alchemist, Attack on Titan, Haruhi, Death Note, Evangelion, Clannad; meaning School Days is an anime that every anime fan must watch to form an opinion. |

| I felt kinda bad for Makoto because then Kotonoha would have to suffer seeing her boyfriend dead.. but then she cut his head off, killed Sekai and left on a boat with Makotos head to be “alone with him”. Shes a psycho for sure, she cut off his head because she was sad and insane that he was dead and become too attached to him. At first, I wanted to be like Makoto, until he showed he was an idiot loser who cant freaking decide which girl he wants. I never want to be like anybody in this anime, in fact now I’m more scared of Yanderes than ever before.. |

| Just finished watching this with the boys. Actually pretty good and quite and enjoyable watch! Seeing Makoto dig his hole deeper and deeper, and in an absolute miracle actually paying for his transgressions?? You never see that. This show is definitely not for everyone, but it's definitely over-hated! |

| This truly was The Room (2003) directed by Tommy Wiseau of anime. One of the unintentionally funniest things i've ever seen. I guess it's true if you fail hard enough it becomes a win. This was me at the ending.  |
| what the fuck did i just watch? tf is this ending? wtf? i was already spoiled that makoto was gonna get killed but it still came as quite a shock. the roof top scene was the most unexpected though. man however trash makoto was he didn't deserve to die. and that too in such a brutal and painful way. it breaks my heart to see what katsura has become. she's legit gone mad bruh. i will never forget the sounds of kotonoha opening up the insides of sekai. the last scene man. i wonder what happened later with kotonoha. i'm out of words. i'm just sitting here thinking just what i watched. i don't think i've watched a more fucked up anime than this. i legit feel depressed now. overall, how much ever i hated to watch these characters doing dumb cringe and fucked up shit i honestly think the way the anime showed us the story was really great. the directing, the sounds, the great atmosphere creation, the story were all done very well. i hated to watch this, it made me rage a lot, fucked with my mind, made me question everything but at the end i think this was one of the greatest animes solely because of all the top-tier drama and psyhological fuckery. i can't and won't give this any less than a 10/10. |

It's just a creepypasta shock ending, it doesn't make the previous episodes (which were terrible) any better or worthy, it's just a harem subversion that has a shock factor ending, it's not a good piece of art. The anime is a terrible adaptation of a highly lauded visual novel that was hailed as a deconstruction of harem. It wasn't a bad concept on paper; it was a harem with jealousy as the main theme, and it was the focus. The anime mashes different routes together, has even slower pacing due to filler slice of life episodes that destroy its sense of continuity, the tension build up, and shift the focus away from the protagonist's relationship problems, and has more fanservice than the actual porn game. |

| What a fun, slasher way to end this show. Kotonoha's confrontation with Sekai earlier in Makoto's house was so damn tense too. Sekai and Makoto clearly deserved retribution for the terrible web they spun up in this school, and psycho Kotonoha is broken enough that nothing is left too sweet. I was waiting for some gore or horror and it delivered the payoff. And I laughed when the fansubs made the karaoke animation a nice little boat sailing across the screen during the ED. I'm not saying that either Makoto or Sekai necessarily deserved death for what they did. They're guilty of lying, deceiving, and sleeping around (Makoto moreso). Is lying and infidelity worth the death penalty? No, I'd say not. So a psycho murder isn't justified either. But it is of course an emotionally delicious ending if you disagreed with Makoto's actions along the way. The unjustified deaths were part of the horror and tragedy. One could argue that this series is a commentary on the sexual revolution. What happened once women could pick their mates without marriage? Many women flock to a single guy for one night stands or iffy relationships, they fight over him and backstab each other, while other guys who feel unwanted are reduced to committing sexual crimes to get any. All they're missing is an otaku character who gets completely shunned by the girls and commits suicide. This was pitched to me as a deconstruction of the harem genre, so I watched it with that as my main filter, and it was a great way to go through it. I really enjoyed the recommendation, thanks!  |
