| It's cool that everyone loved the episode, but I can't help but feel disappointed more people aren't upset with the fact that it could've been SO MUCH BETTER had MAPPA given their staff more time. They did what they could but not even the greatest in the industry can completely cover up the fact that the episode had direction but was unpolished in many areas. This one felt like the animators' last stand. |

| the fight was awesome but poor itadori, he's in a state of self loathing and i also feel bad for all those people that died in the fight but to be fair he didn't summon that cursed soul. |

| its actually wild how the artists manage this insane level of quality in the inhumane conditions mappa put them in... people being passionate about the end result is being exploited to the fullest |

I dont know how anyone can like this type of animation. Like the whole season is a downgrade compared to the first. The animation started out as bad, and the quality went only down... I'm not happy about this season, but I can understand why it is like this. Quite sad that this happened and the result is this bad.
| @hecate2k The animation is clearly unfinished, but the result is papered over a bit to look "artsy". Apparently it works on many people, as you can see from this thread. The only thing left is to wait for blu ray, maybe it will make improvements. |

| Not gonna lie. I loved Sukuna so much as the antagonist. He greets his subordinate and tells her to wait as he will awaken soon. Then he fights the Shikigami or creature summoned by Megumi. Like wow. He had to use his Domain Expansion just to defeat that Shikigami or whatsoever. And not only that, he saves Megumi because he is either interesting or because he needs him for something. Then Sukuna brings Itadori to see the rampage he has wrought using his body, telling him to “enjoy” or savor this moment/moments of what Sukuna/Itadori has done. Like wow. Then Itadori gets a nasty mental breakdown and that opening song nailed it badly. Like I knew it was the bad guys time to shine. But Sukuna brings it to whole level. I hope someday to see the back story or past or Sukuna. Love his powers/strength and his sadism at the highest level. Makes me really question this. Can Gojo really back it up to say he can beat Sukuna even if it can be exhausting? Oh man. After seeing what Sukuna did. Makes me doubt Gojo despite him being OP on his own level. |
| Not a shonen fan at all, but credit where it’s due. This was a phenomenal episode that is an ode to the capabilities of this medium when everything is clicking. An artistic masterclass. Substantively, as usual I found it weak, but the animators deserve all the credit in the world for producing this with all the pressure and toxic work culture shit going on at MAPPA. I fully hope they continue taking a stand for themselves and speaking out against their conditions. The content is amazing, but not worth it at the cost of their health and well-being. |

| I must admit, the animation was going crazy in this ep. Also Yuji's drama hurts. |
| It appears downtown Tokyo would have had less damage and fewer casualties with a couple of nuclear heads than what happened in this and the previous episode. And after all that massive annihilation electricity kept on coming in buildings right beside the zero point. If that was an attempt at parody of the genre it was a poor one. Surely there is no hope of covering up this mess from the general public as well. I strongly suspect "gas leak explosions" is not going to cut it. |
