The final scene, I really enjoyed! A good call-back to episode 1. Then Nazuna actually falling for him as well is something I was wanting to see. The show started off pretty lame and like any other, but the last 3 episodes saved it for me. I enjoyed this one, and hope to see a season 2.

Nice they ended with some development in the relationship. Was a bit disappointed nothing was explained about vampires or the detective. Fun series overall.

Such a cute ending, now it comes down to Nazuna also having to fall in love.

Loved the night life shown throughout the series, beautiful visuals.
There is definitely something freeing about being out at night when almost nobody's around, you're in a city you know but somehow it all feels new and exciting.

The portrayal of people being stuck in their daily routine and the allure of finally finding something else was done so well with a lot of characters.
Kou is very relatable in the sense of a young person trying to figure out his life and what he wants and I think the allure of night life made him appreciate life even more after being stuck in that daily routine of his. - Though I do think the story could've worked just as well if they made him a bit older considering Nazuna is 40 years old.

At the same time we also learn about both sides to becoming a vampire; The detective showing us it's not just all fun and an easy going life, not just that but also Hatsuka, she lets us know she's able to forcefully make her offspring "love" her.

Absolutely great anime, a lot of wholesome / funny moments but also a very interesting and entertaining story.

Even though this is the anime's finale, it felt like many of the other episodes. Somehow, they threw in some shower fan service and Kou's reaction was kinda priceless.

On the other hand, I like how they gave most characters some screen time besides just Kou and Nazuna. Hatsuka in particular got some highlight. I like how Kou's encounter with Nazuna is similar to the first episode. These two pair really made the anime entertaining imo. That kiss!
@Stark700 this kiss was really perfect if Kou na fell in love with her in the second season my friend I pretend I never watch this anime

Since I've been watching anime for 10 years the art in anime rarely surprises me but when it does, it does it negatively. But when I saw the night background of the city I was speechless, it was truly beautiful. I have never seen a better representation of night in any anime I have watched in terms of art and atmosphere.

I really rarely write reviews about anime unless it's absolutely terrible or absolutely wonderful. Yofukashi no Uta falls into the second category, good job, LIDENFILMS.

You know, at the beginning, I was kind of bored by the episodes, but as it continued, it just got better and better.

The whole show just has a nice vibe to it; it feels cozy.

Maybe I should go explore what the night has to offer.

Wow, what a show. Just gorgeous in so many ways.

Except the writing wasn't as amazing. I don't know what it is, but the dramatic moments didn't really land for me, even when most of the time I liked what they were going for. It's like, "OK, I'm feeling it, I'm feeling it"... then "OK? I'm not feeling it".

I'll still remember the unique vibes for a long time. I would love to see more seasons.

Alright, will Kou falling in love with her? Wondering~~ the first time I saw the trap vampire naked, I just thought the anime suddenly goes uncensored showing her flat breast... Turn out she's a he. Lol. Well, the early episode are boring made me have to put this on my on hold list... Then turn out to be an okay anime...

Visuals and music were great. Every character introduced has also been a good addition. Towards the end the vibe sorta shifted and felt more dramatic? Overall I liked how most of the problems people had were more everyday understandable occurrences.

I think this is the first time one of my ideas for scoring falls much lower than the MAL AVG on a series.
I don't get it, this one didn't click with me at all even though I was excited from before it's release. I watched it live and dropped it at around ep6. Last week I started over and gave it another go and finished, not much good to say so will leave it there.
This is an anomaly for me. Maybe I'm too old now

My comfort anime... that's it. This show makes me feel cozy due to the setting and the atmosphere this anime takes place in. From having quite a few relatable moments, to definitely not relatable moments. This had everything. I don't usually like vampire settings, especially those Times New Roman ones where I feel like I don't belong in such a high society but this show was totally different. I felt like yeah... I can see why Kou wants to become a vampire.

But, aside from that, great animation, great atmosphere, great direction, and storyboards, great OST. Really need a Nazuna in my life. LOL. Cheerful and funny vampire and she's adorable. I envy Kou in some places like having the option to turn himself into a vampire. But, it can be scary at times being around vampires. I'm definitely gonna miss this show a lot.

I know you commented this long ago but, i feel exactly the same. I just finished and the Anime, just feels chill and cozy. The atmosphere of the show, really make us want to get out at night and chill. Good soundtrack, specially when the soundtrack showed itself more in this 2 laat episodes. Perfect show to watch at night after a long day. And the main pair were so good together (in terms of character dynamic). Cant wait for s2.

So, vampires don't know much about vampires. Much less than humans know about humans.
Vampire Hunter Detective may know more about vampires than vampires do. Surprised we got not flashback backstory on her this season, when it obviously has to be some of vampires murdered my family, friends, or lover thing. Not really suspenseful waiting on just who it was. More interesting will be how she gained her knowledge and tactics.

The stakes did get heightened towards the end but it would've been a shame if the chill vibes that practically define the show didn't return for the finale. Really glad that they did.

There was a -999% chance it would've happened but I can't help but wonder how Nazuna would've reacted if Kou went ahead and became another vampire's offspring lol

@LordCrueltyV In the Manga, they have a habit of forgetting things. Not sure how long, but it seems to be a protection against the harshness immortality might bring. ( All that anguish Ann Rice's vampires suffer, etc.)

It wasn't that special but had it's moments. some sexy elements of the show was a hit for me. The animation was kinda nice too, and i got used to the art style and camera work as time went on.

After watching a 25 episodes heavy show (Orb), this was a good break.

Ugh, I don’t even want to talk. The kiss was nice and all, and the woman who turned out to be a man—actually, was a man all along…

The anime is good—not bad—but it’s not really my type. I only watched it for the second season, and honestly, season one is just a prologue for what’s to come. The season ends just as we finally get to know the characters.

As for Kou and Nazuna’s relationship… in my opinion, it’s just average. Not romantic—more like friendship. Maybe next season will show something different.

A lot of people felt the ending mirrored the beginning in a “wow” kind of way, but to me, it was just a normal scene.

This was a fantastic final episode, Hatsuka definitely has a crazy family, I’m honestly with Kou that they might all be offspring lol, and I sadly had Hatsuka being a trap spoiled early on in the show by manga readers in the comments but that was still a great moment, Kou’s reaction was hilarious and also based because he said it didn’t bother him lol, and I gotta respect the reason Hatsuka dresses like a girl, he definitely does look good lol. And things were getting serious with Nazuna and Niko but it thankfully turned out to be fine, but wow I absolutely loved the bit where Kou did the thing at the vending machine that Nazuna did when they first met, that was wild lol, and after Kou realized why he wants to become a vampire we get a sweet kiss scene to end it off, that was definitely a satisfying end.

This was a really fun show and the plot near the end was definitely intriguing. It’s a shame my best girl Anko was introduced so late but hey at least she stole the show when she was present lol, but the same goes for all the characters really, Nazuna was so great and each of the side characters like Akira and the other vampire girls (and boy) also stole the show, really good characters all around, and I can’t forget the main man Kou, I really enjoyed him, definitely a unique and great MC. And I can’t review this show without commenting on the music, such a good OP and ED both by Creepy Nuts, they fit the show so well and are both absolute jams, not to mention the insert songs which were also by them. I really hope this gets another season, I’ll be there without a doubt, and while you’re at it make Dagashi Kashi Season 3 lol.
@TheColonel76 I pretty much said it perfectly back then, wish I could go back to finishing a show and be satisfied with writing two paragraphs. One thing I wasn’t as clear about tho, is how hot Hatsuka is lol, like damn boy that’s a sexy ass femboy, that scene of him stepping out the shower was something else, and it’s funny because I actually couldn’t remember for sure if Hatsuka was a trap or not, well now there’s no question lol.

But yeah man this was a fantastic rewatch, first time watching it since it originally aired in Summer 2022, good times were had back then with this show airing. There’s not a whole lot more I can add to what I already said, but I will say that I really do love how the show butters the viewer up by making the nighttime and vampires look really appealing, only for it to turn it around completely near the end when Anko appears and the dark side of the night and vampires becomes apparent, I think that’s so well done. But at the same time I also like how Kou reaffirmed his want to be with Nazuna and enjoy the night, seeing him get shaken and question his beliefs was cool but ending like this made for a heartwarming ending to the first season, and I can say that now because Season 2 is tomorrow!

One slight rant tho, it really sucks to see so many people say what happened before the plot stuff is “filler”, ever heard of setting up relationships or world building? Ever heard of slice of life? This shit is essentially to the later plot reveals being so good, we wouldn’t care as much about the shift to the night and vampires being dangerous if we didn’t spend all that time having fun, Nazuna and Kou’s relationship wouldn’t be near as engaging if we skipped all their early moments together. My point is, it’s all necessary and there is no filler, yeah maybe not every scene was needed but the vast majority of it played into why this series is so good. Rant over lol, and with that out of the way, hell yeah Season 2 baby!
