| It was kinda just a basic Cinderella kinda story. I don't like when abusive families are portrayed so cartoonishly mean it's hard to take seriously. I hope that once there's more shown about the guy the characters' dynamics become more interesting. |
| this is my first time watching an anime set in traditional setting and i can say i am quite impressed. the character introduction is very nice and visuals too of course it is licensed by netflix. |

| While it may have seemed like a cruel act, the father pairing Miyo's best friend Koji to be the next head of their house with the younger daughter Kaya actually could work in her interest in the long tern. Koji will forever live in a cruel marriage with Kaya, for the sole sake of saving Miyo. And Kaya will forever be married to someone who does not truly love her, but has to be in this arrangement nonetheless. Perhaps one day Miyo will be able to return to her home because of this! However, for now, she's soon to be wed with Kiyoka Kudo. Miyo finally escaped her horrible situation, but will she be able to open up and find happiness here? We'll have to see. The father pairing her up with someone way more beautiful and far away may have been a way to silently save her. |
| Feels refreshing to see a romance story set in the Meiji Restoration era (mid-1800s), after all those high school rom-coms. The atmosphere of this is also to my liking and I am excited to see what happens next. |

| The atmosphere is beautifully put together, everything seems top notch. From the 3rd PV, there seemed to be some sort of supernatural stuff in this, I hope I don't get filtered out. |
| For the most part I would say that this was a decent first episode. They really know how to make you feel sorry for someone, then dislike another. The whole episode you just feel bad for Miyo, but by the end of it there looks to be some hope for her that she will be able to enjoy life again. Looks like that is what this anime will be about, so hope it is able to deliver a satisfying story. |

anyone noticed that Miyo's father in manga and anime has different drawing? i mean in the manga his hair was black, the hairstyle also different most of all he didnt wear a glasses in manga.. wth? |
| Koji likes Miyo. Miyo kind of expected a marriage offer from Koji, just because he treats her well. But, the marriage offer is for Kaya. Koji dislikes it, and Miyo despairs. To add to it, her father announces her marriage to Kudo Kiyoka. She reminisces her past, good and bad, on her way to Kiyoka's house. She meets him and thinks he's a beautiful man. That's a compliment most men wouldn't like to hear. |

| Such a good episode, it's really beautiful and poetic. I like this kind of stories and I really like the visual vibe of traditional Japan so for me it's a very good start for this anime. And these characters, the couple is so awesome omg |

| Downloaded this as a random watch when I was on long flights this week. I’m presently surprised by a genuine random pick. Kinema Citrus really knocked it out of the park with the visuals. And honestly a historical period drama with romance really hits a sweet spot for me. I’m definitely gonna watch this weekly which is a big deal for me; I don’t keep up with weeklies unless it genuinely keeps me hooked. |

| Good episode. The art and animation is good. The episode really portrays Miyo's hardships ever since her mother passed away. Her new family is an utter piece of trash. Her POS father just gave her away to marry to guy who is rumored to be cold and cruel just to get rid of her. Little did he know that rumors are just rumors. At least the servants treat Miyo kindly. |

| Excellent. They have adapted it beautifully. The visuals look beautiful and the character designs are consistent. Another masterpiece romance that will get a proper treatment. |

| The first episode was hard to watch. Such a sad story, ugh Kaya is such a brat and a bitch dude. I feel for Koji too. Miyo deserves so much better man. The funeral was sad to watch and her dad just completely dismisses her existence instead of standing up for her. Hopefully the groom isn't as bad as everyone says he is. He was very attractive lol |
