| Crap they actually took down a tensen....wow. And I didn't expect Gabimaru to lose his memory. Is his wife actually real? I hope so. I'm bumping this one up to an 8/10, beautiful anime to watch. |

| Well, that's season 1 down... honestly a bit of a weak ending in my opinion. The final fight was definitely a treat with Shion going all out and finally killing a Tensen, but at this point the constant loredumping and 500 different names and terms to remember were getting kind of old. Also Gabimaru's sudden amnesia is kind of a stupid trope, he had such a compelling arc and motivation only to lose all of it in the last like 10 minutes of the episode. The detail about his wife is interesting though, might have to see where it goes. |

| What a plot twist and cliffhanger this episode had, So does Gabimaru's wife even exist or not? Gabimaru lost his memory!!! And more Asaemon will be coming to this island Shinsenkyo... What an amazing fight was that with that Tensen, all of them fought incredibly against that, Finally! one Tensen has been killed. I feel bad for Senta dono. What will happen now that the Elixir of life doesn't even exist?! A lot more questions, I'm looking forward to the second season!! This episode was great! And overall the complete season one is Amazing!! |

| It took me a while to finish this one for some reason. The last episode didn't feel like it was a last episode. I can't believe only 3 days have passed and so many people died already. At least we know we get a second season. I know Gabimaru lost his memories. There's no way his wife doesn't exist. How could he be so in love with her for it not to be true. The purple shinobi girl pissed me off when she was trying to brain wash the other girl. Hopefully Gabimaru's memories come back and he gets reunited with his wife. |

| It would be really bold if Gabimaru's wife turned out to be an illusion. His memories seem far too elaborate for that, but the seeds of doubt have been sown and I can't shake the feeling that something about his background is amiss. I originally thought the village chief was like the Tensen, but that doesn't seem quite right at this point. Jigokuraku. Hell's Paradise. An oh so fitting title for the euphoric decadence that was constantly invoked. There were often scenes where I found myself in equal measures of awe & repulsion. Even the monster form of the Tensen had a certain horrifying allure to it. The fusion of different oriental religions was an interesting choice and I'd like to learn a bit more about each of them before season 2 airs. Particularly tao, though I'll probably need more than 60 seconds to grasp the concept in earnest (unlike most of the main cast). While it did irk me that certain characters adapted to it so quickly, I think Sagiri served as an excellent foreshadowing to the concept with her own inner conflict & resolution back in episode 6. Even Gabimaru's resilience to executions in episode 1 makes much more sense rather than chocking it up as him being super tough. It's ironic how I originally picked this up just to see why there was so much vocal hatred for Sagiri since she's easily the best part of this show. 8/10 |

| Can't believe he lost his memory! Also his wife is just an illusion? That would be so damn heartbreaking. They managed to kill that thing, unbelievable. But it shows if they work together they can do it. I can't wait for Season 2! This managed to get into my fav anime list. Gawd everything was so perfect. The animations, the OST the story the gore. PURE LOVE |

| I liked the final twist but overall this anime has been meh. Way too much filler dialogue during fights and it killed people off way too fast without giving an opportunity to feel attached. Guess they are gonna rinse and repeat the same formula in S2 considering that more fodder is gonna be sent to the island and probably the Tensen are just pawns to an even stronger group of assholes. |

| Tanuki-san gave the most important information amidst the fight, thanks to him they were able to defeat the first Tensen. Gabi woke up with a memory loss? Nothing can go right for our boy :/. S1 was a lot of fun, hopefully we get a s2 soon! |
| Oh gosh, Gabi put forth so much of himself that he lost a lot of what he never really was! Wonder how the second season will go? Looking forward to it! 9/10 |

| Solid show. High 7/10 for me, could go 8 with some peak, definitely kept the attention there. |
| Didn't expect this show to go the way it did, I have no complains about the story so far, it kept going from good to amazingly good episode by episode. Honestly I don't know how 13 episodes went by so fast. Let's hope the 2nd season will be as just as breathtaking as the first season was. |
| As someone who has rated the manga with an above average score, I found the anime not that impressive in terms of visuals and directing, and the fights felt shorter and shortened compared to the manga, except for the last few episodes, and even then, the last one clearly had a bit too much content in it, the death which was supposed to come off as emotional lacked impact for how quickly it was replaced with another scene. The sound effects were unexpectedly weak. The good thing is that the adaptation toned down the fanservice, comedy and exposition, which is simpler and shorter than in the source material. Even if all of that was different, I don't think I would give the anime the same rating as the manga, as it takes a while for the story to "get good" (it never becomes amazing or anything), and the same goes for the real meat of the manga, which are the characters. Despite all that, I think the studio did...ok, for the material it had. |
| If his wife is fake thats fucked. That borderline kills his character but it might work... will have to wait until season 2. |
| Overall the anime is great, the storyline was a little bit confusing for me, specially at the end however i can't say this was a bad anime, it was worth watching but it definitely needed more episodes. |
