mean okay take on gender bender "reforming" Anime.

Although one thing I would press big button of "doubt" that shut in gaming otaku who also plays erotic games.... wouldn't be intrigued to well... attempt to self pleasure with new obtained body.

Even when this anime tackled most topics in light hearted comedic manner from being gender bent to a female from being male otaku.. that was one thing I found extremely unrealistic... should have been at least been tackled once in some sort of light hearted manner. Because that is without the doubt, something that would happen ... no matter how proper and caring you are at heart. If you are into Anime and erotic games... there is no passing that.

Otherwise was quite soothing Anime, neet otaku who has hella of a siscon . But in a caring manner, but also seems to actually care about people, but simply struggles with human contact. And sister with brocon complex that is rather forceful on "reforming" her brother...

Also probably MC will probably end up being permanently in the new body and just live a new life. Considering his mentality is changing into a woman as well... plus his new life is creating lot of new caring bonds that he never had. So I see absolutely no reason for him to return to his previous life.... that was just heavy escapism..

I mean... I wouldn't.

Anyhow... mostly it was rather cute girls doing cute stuff type of Anime with some "old geezer" type of comedy basically. It was okay... nothing too impressive though. Probably wasn't just exactly my cup of tea.
@DesolatePsyche Mahiro's a bit of an idiot and quite suggestible. After Mihari warned him early on that that if he had an orgasm as a girl it would literally blow his mind, he's been too scared to try it. (This is true in the manga as well.) Is that true? Probably not, I think Mihari just wanted to stop him from doing sexual stuff, but it worked. You must have missed that, since she does it in the anime as well as the manga when he starts to play some eroges shortly after she turned him into a girl.

In the manga it's even more obvious that Mihari's done all this to rehabilitate Mahiro, probably in part because she realizes
But it's also because she clearly loves him dearly as a sibling and we see that he was a very kind onii-chan to her, so she's repaying that. I love that aspect of it, Mahiro's getting a second chance at life because his little sister was so determined to give him one.

I had wondered why the anime didn't do the onsen episode earlier, because in the manga it happens before he starts going to school and it's only him, Mihari, Kaede & Momiji. But wow, I did not expect them to change it so all the girls go and Mahiro's decision to stay a girl for at least a while longer is much more meaningful this way. He's got friends, he enjoys school, he's happy again and he finally realizes it and admits it to himself. Plus the scenery was absolutely gorgeous.

And for anyone hoping for more, the ending does hint at the possibility, showing two characters from the back that appear later in the manga, one of them becoming another friend of Mahiro's, the other of which is Mihari's senpai at college. There's at least 90 chapters of the manga out already that have been fan translated, so there should be plenty of material for a second season.

It was aight. Animation is very much a standout.
I have read 2 perfect chapters of manga; They are Usogui Chapter 203 and Onani Master Kurosawa Chapter 23.
Slam Dunk Chapters 272 to 276 are a perfect stretch of manga.

anime absolutely outdid the manga!!!! certainly had its weird spots, too much inappropriate fanservice and piss moments??? but the artstyle and animation were a delightful sight to behold... >.<

Pretty weak and predictable anime, too safe, too sterile, it obviously lacks social self-reflection and personal drama with inner thoughts from MC. 99% of local events didn't need the MC's which sex has to be changed, it's just Umaru with a little bit of embarrassment and discomfort. It reminds me all these crappy isekai anime where MCs forget themselves after 5 minutes they spend in a new world and simply become a part of it, then what is the point? CGDCT is awful genre/theme as is but this anime studio (which made Mushoku Tensei with a NEET which became a little perverted boy) did this again, another NEET change completely and live another life with perverted opportunities since he is totally safe due plot armor. Questionable approach least to say.

Onimai really surprised me, it truly did. I honestly began Onimai expecting a lukewarm cutesy comedy, but it quickly became an anime about Mahiro learning how it felt to be a girl, physically and emotionally. The show then reached back to the beginning of its plot: Mihari turning Mahiro into a girl to both fix his life, as well as to reclaim lost time, although not in the way Mihari expected. Mashiro became a NEET after feeling left behind by Mihari, who soared in athletics and academics, going so far as to skip grades and enter college as a teen. He became distant as a result, choosing to retreat into his room and wallow in despair. Mihari's rehabilitation project did indeed force him back into the world, but it also created a scenario where Mashiro and Mihari spent more time together, doing things like cooking, shopping, gaming, and adventuring as they once did. However, Mihari also managed to get pulled into her own antics, inadvertently doing things like dressing up and messing around with Kaede. Mihari missed having fun as she grew up faster than her peers, so this was also a chance for her to reconnect with those she left behind.

By the end, Mashiro had to choose between turning back into a boy, or remaining a girl. I did think the scenario of getting exposed on the spot forced Mashiro's hand, so it was somewhat out of her control. Had Mashiro refused Mihari's drug, her whole life would have crashed so hard, she'd probably never return to society. Not only that, it would complicate Mihari's friendship with Kaede, and fracture Mihari's and Mashiro's relationship. It didn't feel like there was much choice, but Onimai at least handwaved the problem with the gender flip just being extended a while longer, rather than being permanent. Mashiro still can choose again in the future to revert or remain, so this was just continuing to delay that final decision. It's super convenient, but Onimai isn't that serious about its magical science plot. Really, it's about Mashiro's identity, the Oyama siblings reclaiming lost time, and the quirks and inconveniences of being a girl.

Oh, and a good amount of sex jokes. For what it's worth, I definitely got a lot more out of Onimai than I thought I would.

This was played a little too safe for my tastes. Nothing ever happened, no scene with him falling for a boy and having to come to terms with that, or his new friends finding out who he really is and him having to explain why an adult male is cavorting with middle school girls. Not even a simple contemplation of how his life is supposed to lead on from where it currently is - his official documentation is never going to add up regardless of whether he turns back or not if he attempts to use this retry to improve his future prospects.
It really could have done with something to spice it up a bit. As it stands it's just cgdct with an odd gimmick. Does anyone know if the manga goes any deeper into anything or does it just stay as cgdct?

Masterpiece from start to finish...🥲❤️

What an amazing way to finish the season. Perfect season finale. All the growth Mahiro shown throughout the duration has lead up to this how much she cared about her new bonds and relationship as much as to sacrifice his old self. And he did what everyone wanted.

I respect how she still maintain respect and don't cave to horniness ever always seeing them as friends but that does brought hilarious situation in that onsen. It have to be Momiji with squishy isn't it. She even checked at night to confirm her suspicion. I still rooting for Momiji and Mahiro. Somehow I hope it works out. Also Mihari got a feel aswell lol. Thankfully she brought the medicine.
This was truly a test of progression of Mahiro over the course of this season and she again shown how much she improved as a person.
Such a brilliant way to end such a brilliant anime.

Knew it was probably going to be good expected fun degeneracy but this was so wholesome and sweet way beyond my imagination. Mahiro growth is so satisfying. Momiji was so cute, Kaede was lovely, Asahi was so fun, Miyo with based fantasy and Mihari perfect little sister.
She always loved Mahiro but to improve him she still went through with it and kept backing him and always proud and happy of her progess. One of the best siblings in anime...

Studio Bind always always highest quality. I want MT S3 asap but hopefully Onimai S2 hopefully happens. Need to read manga becz got to much attached.

Beautiful anime..🙌
It was an absolute treat^_^
