| We got to learn about the village and how they lack food for the population to grow, and that in the past a lot of the villagers died from hunger. So Senku and the others started farming, since it's the best way to obtain food. I just wonder how the village never tried to farm something, I don't know, I feel like even really old civilizations did that. But anyways, they didn't have much place to grow anything either, so it's understandable. Taiju has a sad backstory too :( Seeing him so motivated to bring the other people's families is really something beautiful. It appears that their bread making skills are really bad, because how do you burn that thing so much? And the villagers loving it is really concerning. But Dr. Stone is back! |

| Seems like agriculture should have come in to play much sooner than it is. It feels like an afterthought when it's needed more for their multiple villages to survive and thrive then even this maiden voyage. The characters dynamics are still just okay and the humor is still lacking since it's really only used as banter between characters leaving them flat, one note, and archetypal. Ryuusen is annoying I hope he takes a backseat rather quickly. Overall it's typical Dr. Stone, I'll keep my expectations low. |

| So has this show always been this obnoxious and have these characters always been this one dimensional or is this season just garbage? Also that group of villagers have been around for like hundreds of years right? How on earth haven't they figured out how to farm all this time and how have they been surviving on only fish? |

| How in the world did they not discover agriculture for so many centuries? Surely the astronauts didn't survive on fishing only? Also, somebody better give Gen some shoes, why is he barefoot in all scenes?? |

| Holy damn! The new OP and ED might be contenders for the best ones so far, they are so rocking hype! The OP in particular go insanely hard for the drop, showcasing the upcoming characters from the treasure island, whereas the ED hooked me on the moment it just began with those English vocals. As the ED states... "Sometimes I wonder again and again" (To get excited), but no longer! Just say hell yeah and get excited! I am back to watching another season of Dr.Stone, and so is the Science Kingdom crew. Senku is back in the Ishigami village as a victor and saviour. This homecoming is just the beginning of another period of progress. While the former Tsukasa Empire worked their asses offbuilding the ship, it's time for humanity to progress once again by conquering mother nature and compelling it to spit our food by our very hands. AGRICULTURE! I love the Minecraft reference there, after all, the easiest, most renewable thing to do for food after you've got wood is build a bunch of wheat farms lol. Very cute blocky visuals. It must've been months of continuous aerial and ground mapping to map out the area around Ishigami village and beyond, as well as growing crops from scratch until they finally managed to get wheat. Anyone who's ever swung a gardening hoe under direct sunlight IRL would know how backbreaking and stamina-draining it is. And ploughing a whole field by your hands alone, which would've usually been done by tractors and machines nowadays, is incredible effort and resilience. Eventually, the seed sown into the ground grew to be wheat that they'll be able to turn into... Burnt charred biscuits of pure carbon XD. They really need to revive that 'CHEF' from the OP. |
