| Yeah I think the main character's hair looks kinda rough. I think some strands should be poking out from the other side of his face and it should have more volume to it. The face is fine even though its a bit different imo. |

| @Zane_0 Naturally. Drawing animated characters almost requires lower detail. I haven't read the manga but I think the character designs in the anime are inferior by a long shot. I hope the sakuga pays off but so far it isn't impressive enough to justify the downgrade in quality. |
| As for the MC, there's barely any difference in details. Even if there are, they aren't noticeable at all. The heroine and Ichikawa's designs look better in the manga tho. |

This is arguably one of the best- suited designs for animation I've ever seen because of the lack of angular lines and general roundedness of the characters, like in Boruto. The loose style allows for animators to employ their personal quirks without the character looking too off model, and if that happens during production Nishio can just step in. Tetsuya Nishio has some of the strongst AD work in the anime industry. Kaiju No. 8 is going to have a lot of sakuga lmao.

| I haven't read manga but when I was watching first episode, something in Kafka's design felt off. I couldn't describe but now I understand. After few more episodes I still cannot get used to it. He looks completely retarded. |
