| Definitely the best episode of this season so far, that's explains the ed very well. Bu I'm not sure what he'll do next from here. |

| Peak Fiction. Nothing else from this season can even compete. It feels so good when an anime gets you to feel emotional. Makoto Yukimura and Shihei Yabuta did an absolutely amazing job with this show. |

| As a manga reader I was really looking forward to them covering this moment. I was really happy with it overall. I think Thorfinn's voice actor was amazing. |

You need to understand something, Thorfinn aint no soy boy. Violence is all he's known his entire life. The world of Vinland Saga is a brutal world (actually tame compared to how it was at the time irl) where life is Hobbesian (very shitty) for most people. This story is no shounen, it's more about what the heck are we supposed to do in a world full of violence and greed, where life can be cut short at any moment. Thorfinn's answer to it is leading him somewhere, he first needs to get out of his own personal hell. A hell where he only knew anger, revenge and violence. Hate begets hate. Eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. Seriously, the amount of people here who need to read up on Bhudda and Gandhi, heck just the history of mankind...sheesh. |

| Superb episode! bravo!!! clap clap clap! MAPPA outdid themselves again! that nightmare (with badass Askeladd) made Thorfinn realize the mistakes that he made...mistakes that cannot be forgiven and vowed himself to never be violent to anyone again...well i hope Thorfinn keeps his word...he might need to break that vow on some urgent cases that might arise anytime from now on... 5/5. |

| hmm let me guess next season is thorfinn just trying avoid fights and be peaceful while everyone else tries to kill him. Sucks that this show turned such an easily guessed story. Very little happened this season too. |

| Pretty good episode. Thorfinn's dream sequence was haunting .Great to see Askeladd once again .He really is the father figure in his life .Now begins Thorfinn"s journey towards A True Warrior .He is now a complete pacifist .Though i believe sometimes you have to use powers to protect others.Full 5/5 episode. |

Elucid said: HOW IS THIS SHONEN? I said this already, but I thought that the majority of shonen characters use violence against others? 4 out of 5 of your favourite shows are shonen with all of their protagonists using violence. Boys do be growing up. |

| I liked the episode, specially after Thorfinn woke up but according to my own rules, dream episodes shouldn't be rated highly, I never liked the resource of using dreams to get plot resolutions/philosophical answers, so I must be honest with myself and rate this as a 5.8/10. |
| Man. What an episode. Thorfinn's dream gets more surreal. Thorfinn meets his chichi-ue from above in a nice sunny farm land. But not for long as Thors noticed blood on his son and questioned who did he kill. in despair, Thorfinn fell into the cracks of the abyss. At the last minute, he grips onto a ledge. Holding onto his dear life. What waits for him below is what looks like "hell" which Thorfinn mistaken for Valhalla. And viola! Askeladd is back! It was so nice to see him again. Even in death, he appears in style.  I love the red color palette for this hellish dream world. Reminds me of the eclipse from Berserk. Askeladd is the goat for telling Thorfinn to climb up and continue his fight in the world of the living. |
