Quite a few people have this problem. It is hard to follow. Not because it's complex, the plot is "random sh*t happens, Anos effortlessly owns everyone, rinse, repeat".
The new teacher is one of "the" Four Evil Royals, historical figure of incredible power. But no one knows anything about him except for the woman making introductions, to the point that noble kids laugh at him.
This historical figure was hiding under the rock for 2000 years but now he popped out to "enlighten ignorant ones who know nothing about 2000 years ago". Stupid pupils "blindly believe the name of a sham Demon king" even though everyone in power were supporting this lie until this moment as the teacher himself pompously proclaims. How exactly not knowing about it makes students "ignorant"?
Turns out being one of "the" Four Evil Royals is not cool enough, the teacher is not some lame Erdomaid DittiJohn, actually Heavenly Father God NousGalia, literal god, "took over" him. Not that it makes any difference.
He spouts chuuni garbage for about a minute, apparently there are gods responsible for order in the world. Wow. Who knew? "Therefore, the gods decided to create a new order to destroy the Demon King of Tyranny". Note that even though there is "therefore", there is absolutely no logical link between chuuni garbage, new order and Anos' death. And, apparently, "new order" is actually a child because that's what "order" really mean. What a pile of crap.
Then teacher tries to kill bunch or random students because "it's logical that they die". Right, that's how every homeroom teacher starts his first lesson. Logical!
Killing the chuuni teacher would somehow "destroy all logic in the world". Makes sense, he oozes logic from every orifice. Anos cleverly sidesteps this mine by limiting his power. Teacher, naturally, had no idea it was possible. Silly ignorant god of logic.
Nothing "god of logic" says or does makes any sense. His proclamation about "Child of God in academy" is completely pointless and directly works against his goals. Him remaining a homeroom teacher makes no sense and yet that's exactly what happens because "the gods have different values than we do". And so does academy apparently, they don't hold mass murder attempt against the teacher. Makes sense.
Anos organizes the search, bunch of evil dudes attack his lackeys. Why?
-----
- Hmm. So the Four Evil Royals have formed an alliance?
- You are searching for the Child of God. A wise Demon King Anos would soon realize the true identity of the one who has the potential to become the Child of God.
----
But wait! "Wise" Demon King Anos had no idea Child of God exists until "god of logic" blabbered about it without any reason! And capturing his flunkies achieves nothing, just invites severe beating. Killing them quietly and anonymously would make sense but none of them is dead.
Simply put, this arc seems to be completely unrelated to the previous events. Forget season one. Newly minted gods conspired to create "Child of God" to destroy Anos, for some weird reason they warned him about it and now "Four Evil Royals" trying to stop his search. Must be possessed by gods or something.
It's not that Demon King Anos is wise, it's just his opponents work really hard to outdumb him. Their actions make no sense. They are just a bunch of punchbags for MC.
The "plot" is dumb and trivial, the only thing that makes it hard to follow is complete absence of logic, unnecessary chuuni crap and frequent introduction of disposable characters with long pointless titles and ridiculous names. Random sh*t happens, Anos effortlessly owns everyone, rinse, repeat. If you don't follow, you lost nothing. |
