The episode was extremely well made, as it answered most of the questions I had while reading the manga.

How did a cute show about two adventures exploring a myterious hole become this?
They're just stuck in this city now and we get this whole unnecessary plot about the city that has nothing to do with the original story. I guess the whole season will revolve around this.

This whole seasons lives on shock value. I just find everything about it repulsing. People getting abused and this whole Irumyuui-thing where a child gets turned into a bunch of flesh that is forced to birth to a messed up child everyday.

I miss the original plot.

I kind of agree, but they are in the center of the abyss, so this golden village and its origins should finally lead to some fucking answers.

true there's still hope that we get some clues about the abyss out of this. I hope the rest of the season gets better and they'll leave the town soon.

Damn so Faputa want to destroy the village. That makes sense since what they did to Irumyuui. It seems like Reg also made a promise to her but doesn't remember. The thing that's sad is that Vueko said she wanted to forget her even though she's important to her.

Following up on my questions from previous episodes: I think I would've preferred it if Irumyuui somehow was Faputa, instead of the awful reality that came into being. I'm not sure if that would've been a better outcome, but right now it seems like this was one of the worst outcomes...

Another episode of this trauma festival, but at least the worst is behind us. We have finished the expedition to the Golden City and the creation of the village. We have finally outlined the motivation of our dearest princess. Now I guess no one doubts that the hatred Faputa has for the villagers after what they did to her siblings and her mother is entirely justified. If you have to make some sacrifices (for example, to take something off), she will do it.
I admit that to this day I wonder whether I should condemn Wazukyan for what he did. On the one hand, he took advantage of an innocent child and in a really terrible way, he did something simply wrong, in the full sense of the word. However, on the other hand, he did it to save the members of the group, if not, they would all have died without exception. Only if the price was not too high this time

I feel for Faputa, Irumyuui, and Vueko. To see Faputa’s conviction by ripping off her arm and ear is sad (even more so when she mentioned that she is willing to give even more of herself for her goal).

Vueko and Irumyuui on the other hand were pretty much forced to go with the flow of the ordeal. The only possible difference that could have happened is Vueko standing up and fighting harder for Irumyuui but I can understand how powerless she feels to be in such a difficult situation.

Also, it is creepy hearing wazukyan speak because he gives off a psychopath vibe with his voice and calmness. I wonder how old is Vueko now considering she is still alive even though she is human.

Episode was great overall but for manga readers it had few fuck ups like Wazukyan looking evil during saving Vueko but biggest fuck up was this:

in manga they were drooling for value of narehate princess, their being just sad makes no sense.

whew! now THAT was a heavy episode! it showed me alot and from all that, i've got an idea what the old promise between Reg and Faputa is.

i think the original Mitty is the key. Nanachi stated it tried every way it could think of or find to end Mitty's suffering as a Hollow. but finally Reg's 'eraser beam' was able to end the immortal life of the original Mitty. my theory is, Faputa wants Reg to use his 'eraser beam' to destroy her mother and the whole Village.
just an ol school otaku enjoyin the life. don't sass me kiddies, i've been otaku probably since before you were born. leave me in peace and i won't bother you either.

Jesus-fucking-Christ. I was hit hard last episode, and it's been a minute since this aired, but that's because I ended up rewatching the entirety of Season 1, Dawn of the Deep Soul, and all 7 episodes leading up to this one so that @skyonanime could catch up.

Initially, I thought they the consumed Iryumuui's flesh to cure themselves, but, and it makes much more sense, this episode confirmed they ate the kids. It became a steady source of, essentially, a vaccine to the Abyss. All that being said though, I didn't necessarily expect Wazukyan to be the villain of the piece. I mean, if anything, the series seemed to be setting up Belaf as being worst boi. This episode showed me.

But, the thing that is super (low-key) fucked up is that Iryumyuui is the "Golden City." She's what they've kept calling their Queen. This is referred to a second time in this episode. So, looking back on the first instance, when the jelly-like monster was lured in just seems like it's another attempt at raping this already further abused child. The fact that Wazukyan said the jelly was looking for a queen, trying to reproduce, and when it was dispersed, was clearly sperm. I found that very odd at the time, but now it's a very obvious metaphor. I probably wouldn't have even thought about it though if I hadn't rewatched this shit. Tsukushi literally has a problem.

Beyond that, there were a lot of things that pointed to Riko being a savior: An embodiment of hope. Though, I do feel like she's rather naïve to think they can just talk-no-jutsu Faputa. But, if nothing else, I guess their easily going to get Nanachi back as Faputa just readily offered up her flesh based off of nothing. I was hoping, in the process, that we would've learned more about her relationship with Reg, but I guess that wasn't a prerequisite.

"...Is your mother worried? Would you like us to assign someone to worry your mother?"

I don't think Wazukyan is evil, he saved Vueko and put her in the right place. The villagers of IIblu are sad that Narehate Princess left the village, she is the last hope but as Vueko said this village is already much stronger than before.

I wonder Vueko left her place what are the consequences? and if he was caught by the Three Sages of Ilblu what would they do to Vueko?

Although the previous 2-3 episodes from Vueko's point of view had a good storytelling.
