| 5.5 Processed vocals, as expected from Dream Pop, with a very minimalistic piano background. It's been done, it's being done and it will be done again. Dream Pop's bait, but there isn't just enough to make it interesting. She's speaking most of the times. On her own, she's a very ordinary vocalist let's be honest. |

| ^^ Emo/Breakable. Generic bass vocals with a very boring timbre. Music sounds like recycled Weezer on psychs. ^Okay-ish new wave, way better than the last piece of trash you posted. 6.5/10 Homogeneity between the vocals and the instrumentals. Overall nothing impressive but it's miles better than some of the crap you see on this feed. |

| ^^2/10 This thread, myself included i guess, has a lot of cheaters. Technically speaking, a song is a piece of music that is sung, let's be honest, Kanye West cannot sing. Rapping isn't singing, it's speaking fast. I don't care what wikipedia says about it, there is no inherent technique of singing in rapping, it's a thing of its own. Also this album is overrated, he tries to act like Mahler with all the thievery in here.But, unlike Mahler, him and his producers don't have an ounce of genius when it comes to music. Hence why if you are a music connoisseur it just sounds flat. ^7 @Fiqstro Lou Reed both sing and speak in his music, so his ballads can be considered songs. RATM has some bits of singing too. Though let's state facts neither are great singers. RATM singer is poor in skills but Lou Reed has a nice voice which he managed for most of his career. |

| @Mimiko_ I thought the same about the disney thingie Amy Winehouse has one of the most magnificent contralto voice in Pop music but her technique is somehow lacking. One of the best voices in the Soul genre, but she could have done so much more with it. 7/10 |

| I wonder how she'd do if she took lessons, maybe tried operatic roles, just to see what she could do with those low notes. Her voice was never challenged. The voice is nice, but there is no demonstration of technique due to the lack of legato and vibrato in her songs. Pop music isn't demonstrative to the limits of just how far a voice can go. 6/10 What a trained contralto with technique and knowledge of how to sing can do. So much more subtlety, so much more power. Amy Winehouse suffers from having an "one-dimensional" way of singing due to taking the easy path. It shows in the timbre of her voice, and her limited register. That goes for most pop artists since let's face it, they have the less trained blues singers of the bunch, in majority. @disquieting sounds like Debussy but with the personality of Ipreferecchi. |
