Being a male, naturally I would prefer yuri over yaoi.

Nothing wrong with male bonding, but it starts crossing the line when one of them starts bending over.

I'm not really fond of yaoi and yuri. I prefer shounen ai and shoujo ai. Since, as far as I've seen, yaoi and yuri seem to focus on the lust. As long as I found one that showed an actual good relationship behind the lust though, I'd consider checking it out.
As for shounen ai and shoujo ai? I don't really care at all if the relationship is male/female, male/male, female/female or whatever. As long as it's a good romance and they're a good couple, I could care less. I'm just a hopeless romantic, I suppose. I'm definitely not homophobic, so I see no reason to like one sort of couple and not the other if you're into romance... Meh, maybe that's just me.

When you say normal
that's probaly offensive
you should say straight or hetero

heh, I tend to hate guy/girl stuff, mostly because the guy is always an idiot and have the personality of a "dumb" rock.

Yuri~ <3<3

i don't mind yaoi, but i have no interest in men, so i don't really watch much of it, though it works better than the het. stuff.

Wrong. Being a girl I prefer watching two girls making out. Boys making out is a no-no. (Even though I don't watch either)

Personally, both kind of get on my nerves, due to the seriously over bearing fan-girls and boys. They just kind of ruined it for me ya know? Mean as that sounds...

I still have my moments where I have a craving to watch some sweet guy on guy or girl on girl lovin' though, it's just not as often as some people'd like it to be.

Wouldn't that be a minority?
Or let me rephrase my words: A normal romance is what everyone would enjoy even if they don't like yuri/yaoi or both.

No, some people don't like romantic fiction, period. And what's so abnormal about yaoi and yuri?

And majority =/= unanimous.

Some don't. But most do.

A guy x girl is normal.
So a guy x guy or a girl x girl wouldn't be what you'd call normal in my opinion.
It might be normal to some people but not to me.
Well, everyone has their opinons on this.

I can't stand yaoi..I do like yuri to an extent. Basically I think mangas/animes based around yuri are fail, but it can be interesting when in the background. Negi sensei comes to mind.

However I have a couple of impossible yuri pairings that I'd love to see happen.

Kind of ironic when you consider the origin and definition of the term 'yaoi'.

Exactly. Homosexuality is completely normal for homosexuals. Just because you, personally, are straight and are only interested in watching anime with straight romance, doesn't make homosexuality, yaoi, and yuri automatically abnormal and weird.

You're absolutely right.
I said it's abnormal for ME.
I also mentioned some people won't find it abnormal.
That's ok. I've got nothing against homosexuality.

If you admit that catgirls are abnormal, and yet use them, then it implies a contradiction in your thought, inasmuch as that you judge yaoi/yuri negatively for being 'abnormal' as well.
