| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Man the transition from Oden sending off the Akazaya to the present was fucking well done. Was also great to see the Ryo animation special effect again from the same animator that did the scene when Luffy awakened it in Udon. And did Big Mom really stomp that poor NPC? π Talk about the start of a wholesome alliance. I would protest. Then we had a few more anime original additions/extension of scenes. I would almost say this episode was more anime original than manga adaptation xD At least it gave off that feeling considering how it highlighted scenes that simply went unnoticed in the manga. Yamato vs Ulti in particular. Elephant Gun clash against Big Mom was entirely original. The fact that they stretched the episode with these scenes and other stuff like Law entering with his top 3 fueled my hopes for episode 1000. But it's gonna be difficult to pad the next 3 episodes @Ayu_01. Kinemon and Luffy declaration at the end was absolute π₯ Even if not much was adapted, it was nonetheless an enjoyable episode. And lol, I knew I had seen the Zeus part before |

| This episode was fun and fire for me. Sure there was a lot of filler in it. However, it gives me so much excitement. Though I am still concerned here and there. Though I question one thing. Will Toei bring out the excitement as it did for Marineford Arc? Guess we are about to find out. |
| Lol Nami had some interesting parts this episode. I also appreciate the animation for some of the clashes like in Yamato and Ulti's. We're getting close to the 1000 mark and I'm looking forward to it |

| 2 weeks without One Piece and I'm losing my focus lol, that caught me off guard, Yamato VS Ulti, while brief, was so fluidly animated, I needed a doubletake. Wow, man that's clean! Love the exchange between them both as well and how they each have their own little issues pertaining to family members, lol. Zeus needs to know who's his real master if he were to ever want to be spared the wrath of either one of them, but where Big Mom's anger is akin to that of a monster, Nami's anger is more subtle, yet more sinister, if the face she gave doesn't radiate the aura of 'yandere' I don't know what does. The entire last quarter of the ep was supremely delightful! From the Akazaya Samurai pinning down on Kaido accompanied by that epic OST in the background, followed by Kinemon telling their belief in Luffy, to finally Luffy himself announcing the beginning of the All-out War as he strives to beat down ABSOLUTELY ALL OF HIS ENEMIES. That entire segment made me tremble with utter excitement, the goosebumps received is welcomed, hold on to your seats as we are about to delve into the lengthy but awesome War in Onigashima!!! |

| This episode made me really excited for what's to come with the 1000th. The transition from Oden to the Akazaya Nine attacking right into Kaido was amazing. I honestly did not expect them to be able to wound Kaido at all, but I with Ryou haki it doesn't seem to be a problem. I loved the little fight between Yamato vs Ulti. Unfortunately it was a little bit short, so I hope we get more of it with the upcoming episodes. Was about time that Nami and Carrot freed them self. Imagine being Zeus and therefor the toy for such crazy chicks lol. Sometimes you could forget how stubborn Nami can become if it comes to her beloved treasures. Her facial expression definitely resembled that of a psychopath or serial killer lol. The clash between Luffy and Big Mom showed how much progress Luffy made. Last time Luffy easily got pushed back in Gear 4 and this time he still got pushed back but just with him being in his normal form and using elephant gun. Would be interesting to see what would happen now if he switched to Gear 4. The end was by far the highlight this week. Kinemon's trust into Luffy is unswerving. He knows no matter what happens he can always trust Luffy. Luffy's official declaration of war towards Kaido, Big Mom and all the top commanders gave me chills. He just don't give a fuck and that's what I always loved about him. I wonder if Who's-Who will encounter Law. We saw both of them only for a short moment, so there's a possibility for it to happen. The real fight is about to begin. Kaido might be wounded, but that's nothing which could stop him, so yeah, things are about to get crazy. |

| And I thought Yamato was left handed, but apparently she isn't, I guess this confirms it. WOW the way how the Katana was stabbed through Kaido's palm by Okiku DAMN!! THE AKAZAYA EVEN HAS RYUO?! And yet again disappointed by Crunchyroll, STILL NOT showing off Yamato on the thumbnail episode ! The Ulti reaction and interaction with Yamato was unexpected I'm glad that Nami wants Zeus back! The speech Kinemon that he gave at the end was great! Namis laugh with the lip sync and movement didn't match though Anyway, I feel like 95% of the animation budget was focused on Yamato looking good xD, shes the only one that has no blur covered all over comparing to others. |

| Damn they used the OST from Oden's death scene when the Scabbards attacked Kaido, it was epic, Kaido finally had to believe what Orochi was fearing all along. Yamato vs Ulti was also very well done in the animation, Nami sure seemed insane talking to Zeus lmao, and Luffy and Big Mom even clashed. Overall, a good episode! |
| Ulti vs Yamato was nice. At least Toei showed that they can extend fights in a proper way without going overboard with repetitive scenes or having crappy fight choreography. And this episode adapted about 10 manga pages, which is above average. It's sad that I have to be happy about something so trivial, but at least the pacing wasn't too shitty this week. |

| Only thing that keeps bugging me is why Izo and Neko use no sword here? They are all trained by Oden right? And Neko just bites or does w/e but he still has one hand, might as well use sword in it. Izo just felt strange, especially how all of them are pushing Haki fuelled by their rage into swords to pierce Kaido and he just shoots one or two bullets so we don't forget he is still there. |
| So Big Mom and Luffy trade one punch and Kaido gets pushed to the ground from the previous episode. That's how little movement there was in this episode lol... Ulti vs Yamato was good for about a minute or so though lol |

| Man... what a good episode. The all-out war is finally here and looks like Kaido is injured as well. But, there's a problem that Big Mom is here as well. So, Luffy has to handle her. The fighting animation b/w Yamato and Ulti were great. Nami and Carrot finally escaped from the BIg Mom traps. I feel so bad for Zeus, Nami is really scary. But damn that Nami's ass in that shot. That was just... *Chef's Kiss*. Toei never disappoints with their fanservice. Too bad, Kaido cannot be taken down that easily. |

| Damn, this was a pretty good episode. A lot of highlights such as Yamato vs Ulti, Zeus and Nami, Luffy vs Big Mom and The Akazuya vs Kaido. Nami was scary as hell but she got Zeus back so it's all good. It'll be a hard feat to defeat Kaido so they probably messed up a little bit there and Luffy about to clap Big Mom's cheeks (hopefully). The smooth,fluid animation from Ulti vs Yamato fight was just incredible. Seriously loved this. It felt a little bit slow paced but the rest was insane. I'm jealous that the French anime viewers have the oppurtinity to watch the 1000th episode of OP in the cinema. It's so damn close xD |

| Yeah I loved this episode and the episode before that. I've been watching OP since 2002 and looking at it now compared to how it used to look is amazing. We're finally having our war and you can just feel it's going to be crazy. |

You're welcome, lol. It literally took about 2 minutes to download the video, cut out the gif and to upload it. The problem is that the Gallerie app on my phone has a limit of 4 seconds. Wanted to have Luffy's whip on it as well. |
