Kukuru's boss continues to be a power-harassing douche. If they try to pull a "he was actually a good guy all along" none-sense, I think I'm going to vomit.

Of course he is. Everything he said make perfect sense from business stand point. Only one group tour clearly counts as a failure.

When the 1st cour ended and then they dropped the 2nd cour trailer which barely had Fuuka, I really thought Fuuka would go back to be an idol but now I'm so happy that she's back and to think she'll be working at Tingaara too, I can see my hypeness coming back for this anime.

Seeing Kukuru get so happy to see Fuuka was so heartwarming and adorable.

Fuuka did a great job memorising those 20 weird long names so quickly.

What's with those boring people not interested in a backyard tour of a big aquarium. They don't know what's interesting.

Anyway, I'm jealous of them for getting such fancy interesting jobs so quickly through contacts...And in this shitty country I live doesn't have such aquarium. According to my experience, we just have shitty small aquariums which smells like shit and you can't even see the fishes cuz they barely have any lights.

As rude and harsh as the assistant director is (Kukuru's supervisor or boss), he just comes across as a strict boss or military drill instructor type. Needless to say certain personalities wouldn't get along well with him at all. I'd probably be fired on the first day pretty much on sight. But my point is that it doesn't actually seem targeted or personal. He would probably act the same way toward anyone or almost anyone new who comes into that office.

Chiyu, on the other hand, is a spiteful and shallow, petty-minded zombie with a typical superiority complex. All she cares about is the fact that in her mind, she works harder than Kukuru and everyone else, and that makes her a better person, and she will take every single opportunity to talk about and show off that fact constantly at every turn all for the sake of showing the inferior people their place. She epitomizes the worst and most tribal element of humanity in a nutshell. Kukuru is someone who she perceives as having challenged her or undermined her worldview and superior sense of self in some way, so she's on her shit list in perpetuity and extra vindictive against her.

There are many people like the assistant director and Chiyu in the world. The former seem to be doing it out of a genuine belief in a greater good and the necessity of their approach to forced cohesion and peak performance of the collective, however misguided. The latter like Chiyu are just peacocks who want to strut around and rub other humans' faces in the dirt at every conceivable opportunity lest they forget their place. People like the assistant director are the kind you can disagree with, argue with, maybe end up leading to getting fired or quitting your job. People like Chiyu are more often the types like the "mean girls" stereotype who run cyberbullying rings and incite people to suicides and mass shootings. Every time she is onscreen and opens her mouth I can actively feel my blood pressure rising and my fists clenching. An accomplishment since I haven't felt so riled up and indignant over a character's behavior in any anime since Asuka and Shinji in Eva. No small feat for a friggin Slice of Life series of all things...(But then, I praise and prize some SoL in general for containing strong elements of realism, so I can't really non-hypocritically complain).

I feel like the inclusion of Chiyu might have been the biggest catalyst behind the decision to include the Drama tag...

Just to be clear - I'm sure Chiyu is a hard worker, intelligent, and with a formidable aptitude and talent for her job. If she wants to feel superior, think this way to herself, and throw an occasional barb or derogatory line, that's one thing. It's the incessant and unprovoked militant belligerence she has displayed since second one of day one not only toward Kukuru, but toward everyone and everything around her she shallowly judges within five seconds to be beneath her. She displayed that attitude long before Kukuru opened her mouth in her direction at Gama Gama and even said two words. However talented in her specific field, on the whole she is both ignorant and arrogant in general; the worst combination.

Well things have been a little good with Fuuka being back :)

Anyways Kukuru did do well at that Behind the scenes event....In the end there was at least one happy family who were glad they came to the tour....They all sure had a fun time

At first I was as frustrated as Kukuru as to why put her to marketing? Not just give her the job she wanted which taking care of fish or penguins? But now I can see why, Kukuru enjoy talking about types of fish or marine life, I even remember her friends calling her Marine Nut whenever they talk about fish or something...(I don't remember the exact nickname they call her) which makes her fit for job which involves talking positive things to make aquarium exciting. What I find rather weird however is how everyone moves to same place along with Kukuru, I can understand all the gamma gamma staffs but Akarin working for Tingara and Tsukimi moving near that aquarium even though she doesn't even work in aquarium? That might need a bit of suspending disbelief.

As for Chiyu, sure there are people like her that exists even in real life who doesn't show same opinion with you and you would only clash with them if you try changing it and she has her reason for not wanting to cooperate with tour and entertain visitors while taking care of penguins but she should've atleast communicate with the Kukuru and talk about the problem instead of just saying no leaving the marketing department clueless - a common bad trope that anime characters suffers from at times, character who's not communicating with others about the problem and letting other characters misunderstand them and then suddenly pulling a twist that this character is not so bad at all and they're just acting that way for this untold reason... which is dumb to me, it doesn't really help series in anyway but only piss us audience.

At the time I'm typing this post I'm still trying to force myself to watch ep 14, so my pov may change, but I want to say what's bothering me with the last few ep.

I just bench watch this show cause I heard it was pretty good, but I could not pull myself through ep 13-14, like I'm 8mins in ep 14 and I can't watch it. I don't like Tetsuji attitude and also Chiyu as well.

Like I understand there trying to make Kukuru go through this stressful job, but I don't think she deserves all this stress, like what the hell is Tetsuji even doing or what is his role? Why isn't he helping Kukuru help plan all of the stuff?

I also kinda blame the Tingara director for letting Kukuru getting all the stress by Tetsuji, it's like what my friend said to me "I get that the director put her in marketing to expand her horizons and all... but you don't make a doctor fly a plane"

lastly Chiyu has been getting on nerves with the attitude she gives to the gama gama workers.

EDITS: After forcing myself to watch ep 14 my pov hasn't change and I think I'll wait till all the ep comes out cause I don't know if I'll like this second half the story.

I know that assistant director-san cares. For now it may be frustrating, but in the end it will pay off for Kukuru. Step by step.

Fuuka already doing quite well. Giving her the penguin task was a nice callback to the beginning.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

After seeing this.. I wouldn't want to work at a aquarium, tho if we bonded as much as they did then It doesn't seem to bad. But seeing fuka or the blue haired gal work so hard does leave a soft spot. Damn I just noticed how great the ed looks like.

Behold of my awesomeness~

What the hell are these penguin names or better said who gave them those weird names lol.

Great to see Kukuru managed to bounce back and put her all into her job.

Genuinely on the verge of dropping this, if some of these Tingarla jerks don't fall into the shark tank soon. And aside from a few things where I couldn't find some of the episodes I've never dropped an anime before.
I would literally have quit on the spot with the way that idiot who's supposed to be a supervisor spoke to Kukuru on her second day, after giving basically zero instruction of what her job even was. I mean I'd have quit on the spot at being spoken to like that by any superior for any reason tbh. Would just be a question of whether I kept my cool long enough to leave without breaking his nose.
It's a shame, the first half was really good and I was interested to see how the characters try to move on without Gama Gama but the new characters are just unwatchable for me and it's ruined it.

Kukuru’s boss needs to get the hell off her back! She’s doing a brilliant job for someone who isn’t actually getting any training!

I’m so happy to see everyone back together again, especially now that Fukka has come home! ☺️

Why does it seem like Kukuru is the only one in that office getting something to do lol is kind of annoying, though.

I'm confused. I thought advertising the tour (or any other project in general) was part of Karin's job and not Kukuru's, as they kinda explained last episode.

I'm impressed they managed to give all those penguins distinct personality in such a short time. Kukuru is very lucky to have Fuuka back in her life at such a stressful and difficult time for her. I'm really liking the direction of this second cour.
