| I don't want 50 million dollars. Sure I could always use some more cash, but I have no need for that much money. Being that rich changes people. I can imagine that if you have that kind of money nothing will ever feel quite as special or satisfying as it would if you actually worked for it. I'd be satisfied holding a normal job and living a humble lifestyle. Am I crazy? That said, I would not suffer too greatly if I gave up anime for life. | watching anime is something I enjoy to pass the time, no way I'd pass up $50 Million though. In all honesty without anime, my life would be a lot more productive, then again with $50 Million there would be no reason to be productive. I'd probably invest/save it all and live off interest, then Coach Track and Field for enjoyment. |

Fifty million dollars is a lot of money, hell the question should have been, would you give up anime for $1 million and the results are practically the same. Anyways going back to the "no" sayers, I find it weird since the most people usually bitch and whine about most anime not being good and calling it every name in the book. Hell, members from MAL are more harsh on anime than anime haters (I mean the kind that hates ALL anime). Which really makes you think why exactly they even watch anime if their purpose is to bash and make fun other anime and it's fans. True, but you forget that they are here because they like anime. So, if they find something they don't like they are more likely to be harsh on it. There are always people who watch in order to criticize though. Not only in anime. Besides, anime haters do not actually watch anime, do they? Their points are much more general than anime fans, which is why they seem less harsh. And I don't think there is any significant downfall, it 's just that more shows are now fansubbed and not only the better ones, as was the case in the 90s. How many bad shows have you seen from 2008 and how many from 1998? It's not like they don't exist, we just haven't heard about them. As for the question I would say no. I would never put a restriction on what I can do for money (or anything else offered to me, for that matter) and definitely not for the rest of my life. Even if you have other things to do, in the end, you are still restricted. The majority may say yes, but most of these people are thinking they can cheat their way out of the deal. Several say so in their posts as well. And frankly, with 50mil you probably can. |
