"Urushibara Ruka. The mannerisms and voice of a woman... No... More feminine than any woman. But he's a guy. Taller than Mayuri, but so very thin... But he's a guy. Looks great in a miko outfit... But he's a guy. It's already twilight And yet, it's so hot. The cicadas are crying. But... He's a guy."

For all the silly things here, I think it's interesting to revisit Schneizel's arguments against Lelouch's plans, or at least to his criticism of those intentions, since they are basically the chief conceptual objections most people would have to the same in real life.

Humans are greedy, therefore giving them freedom and a "future" poses a risk. Which Lelouch was willing to take.

I knew Nunnally would get her vision back at some point.

CORNELIA IS ALIVE YES YES YES YES YEEESSSSSSS. She was too good of a character to be killed.

I will admit that Guilford's survival was too much, though. Not that I dislike the guy, but SOME people need to die to make this a worthwhile drama, after all.

One episode left. Argh, I hate that feeling when you're about to finish an amazing series.

I didn't expect Lelouch to put Geass on Shneizel! But what that was awesome! He actually knew what Shneizel would say in that long conversation and recorded it beforehand. Lelouch is some fucking psychic.
I already expected Nunnally to open her eyes... but really at that very moment when Lelouch came?!
Seriously how did Cornellia and Guilford survived?!
I thought this episode was better than the last few ones. It kept me entertained the whole way through, and there were many interesting scenes.

I swear, Lelouch is the most pro when he's guessing conversations that he'll have in the future... I also love this fact.

I can see a few things happening, since Nunnally has opened her eyes, but I'm hoping for a favorable outcome.

Also, I'm slightly curious to what Anya meant by 'I don't like what Lelouch has become.' It's likely a simple answer and I know that she should have gotten her memory back from that time, but...

Looking forward to what's going to happen in the last episode.

Quite entertaining episode, given one lost all hope of seriousness for CG but at this point of the story it's obvious.
The whole thing about Nunnally was very predictable tho, too bad the "surprise" effect was still attempted.
Ah too bad Dierthard died, one of the characters I liked, his development was more coherent than most of the show's characters.
I guess the next episode will feature Lelouch being killed or suiciding for the sake of humanity, as forshadowed since long ago.

Finally Lelouch gets his first win over his brother Schneizel.

Fucking Kallen just had to ruined that Lelouch x C.C moment, jealous much?

I couldn't care less about the fact that Cornelia and Guilford survived.

Good fucking riddance Dierthard, I never liked this guy from the start.
Lelouch telling him that he wasn't worthy of being put under the Geass made my day xD.

There were a lot of great and just plain fun mech fights in this episode. In terms of pretty badass and one I was curious to see Suzaku and Gino takes the cake. In terms of surprising pairings no one saw coming that award goes to Jeremiah and Anya. And in terms of saddest we got Kallen and C.C. The ending of this show has had a lot of great C.C. and Lelouch moments. But her sad smile and thanking Lelouch for caring was one of the best. Who knows that might be the last time they see each other.

The real climax of this episode was not two robots slugging it out though. But one scheming member of Britannian royalty finally getting the upper hand on another. I thought Schneizel's fail safe was pretty clever. I especially liked him calling the ship the ideal coffin for Lelouch. But Lelouch was too damn quick for him, he even brought back the "can guess what you're saying so make a recording look like its live" trick. Which is so stupid. But incredible. One of my favorite ideological musings in the show is Lelouch mocking Schneizel. Saying, "You never had the drive to win, you just only participated if you were assured victory." It's amazing how as late in the game as the middle of R2 Schneizel seemed pretty cool to me. By the end he was so pathetic.

Not as pathetic as Diethard speaking of characters I once liked. I thought Diethard was fairly amusing and was willing to overlook his often selfish and utilitarian world view. But at the point he betrayed Zero he was dead to me, so didn't feel too much when he died in obscurity destined to be forgotten. This episode picked a hell of a cliffhanger to end on. I thought Lelouch would simply have to walk in retrieve the Damocles key from off the ground and that would be that. But surprisingly Nunally recovered it during his showdown with Schneizel. Now he'll have to convince her to trust him, though I somehow doubt it'll go smoothly.

RIP Red-haired dude I really hated, Generic Soldier who died while trying to enter Damocles and Generics who were killed by Gino. Because APARENTLY those are the only people who die in this series.

Anyway, next is the last episode, hope it's very good.

Also, Nunally was un-blinded lol, yeah, sure.

Too many plot convenience and inconsistencies, it feels like the 2nd half of this season was written in a very rushed manner, the writers disregard lots of detail as well as the nature of characters established in SS1. However, entertainment-wise, it's not something I can get everyday or month, even year.

Time to dig a little bit deeper into the characters, while some people may find Nunnally to be annoying/dumb let's not forget that she's very young and lacks the capability to comprehend all those complicated shit like politics, not to mention that it was also thanks to Schnizel's sweet words that Nunnally got influenced and decided to stand up against her brother. Schnizel is a dick for manipulating people with that carefree/cheerful face of his, he's no different from Charles, pretending to be good to people but in actuality, he just wanna exploit then toss them away like trash, I'm glad he got rekt by LL despite the stupid plot convenience. Apart from that, Nunnally just wanna share her burden with LL, since she understands LL has been through a lot for her and she felt guilty about it and just wanna do something to make amend. When you look at it as a bigger picture, it's a splendid sight of 2 siblings "competing" against each other to see who score the bigger one (hatred) just so the other won't get hurt, fight to heal (kinda like, "You've done enough bro, hold my beer and lemme show ya I'm not worthless"). Anyway, LL's plan is probably on a way way bigger scale than that of Nunnally, so I think he wouldn't stop at just mere words from Nunnally. That said, her resolve to break the Geass sure is something, the only person who've ever succeeded in that regard is Euphie.

On a different note, it would appear that C.C and LL have officially accepted each other at long last. Now that they have nothing to hide, it wouldn't be too far-fetched to say CC is the only person who can stay by LL since she understands his power the most and can't be affected by it. The fact that LL was worried about CC simply nailed the relationship between them, he doesn't treat her as a useful "hand" for his scheme anymore, nor did CC think of LL as a tool for accomplishing her goal, they were there at the battlefield on their own will, which is quite poetic given the fact that they could remain that calm and had time for such casual chatting in a very dying situation.

C.C's fight with Kallen was relatively short, but it's interesting to know that she actually cared about winning/losing, which implies that her icy armor has been shattered all thanks to LL. It might also be a hint of jealousy since Kallen was also LL's favorite, CC felt like she was pushed aside back when the 3 were still at the OBK, so the duel at this episode gave off a "settlement between LL's ladies" vibe to me lmao. It's been a long journey, time to wrap it up Sunrise, let's see what LL's final scheme is.

it's so dumb how the fate of the show became dependent on fleija rather than the characters

omg i thought cornelia was dead but my girl is still alive and kicking whoo and guilford too??? that was a surprise

i still don't understand schneizel's character properly but he got played lol lelouch pulled a mao on him, i love it

and nunnally has now opened her eyes, physically and metaphorically ooh ahh how deep

no idea how this will end. or if it will end in a satisfying way at all.

The windup before the pitch. It's Lelouch vs Nunnally. I can only hope Suzaku uses his super overpowered flying spin kick to save the day.

I guess a strong enough willpower can overcome the mind-control. Or maybe it was because Lelouch's father's geas wasn't at its most powerful when it was used on Nunnally.
