| Didn't expect an Orb to be the protagonist of the story. The boy dream of meeting up with his family and friends. It hit me hard, when I realize he was going die in the end of this episode. I thought the magical wolf was going to heal or at least spoken a few words with the boy. What an emotional roller coaster. I hope the next episodes going to be more lighthearted, because I'm hooked into the show, so no need to tease my sensitive little heart further. |

| I did not expect myself to be crying in the first episode, which shows how good the writing is, the voice acting, and the character writing. to feel and connect with the character in just the first episode??? and to cry that bad??? a deffo top contender for this season if not, it already is at the top for this season. contender for the year as well sheesh that was an amazing episode |

| It's been a while since I've cried like a river watching an anime. And just the first episode at that! And funny since I remember reading the few chapters of its manga a few years back before but it did not make me cry. And that I already have an idea of what will happen. But I am amazed with the adaptation! It totally nailed the feelings and impact that it wants to portray! Tears started rolling my eyes when the boy sat at the chair for his last moments with the faces on the wall. Then bam! I was literally trembling while crying when he dreamed that he meet the other people... that scene is just so heart wrenching and at the same time, peaceful. Finally, he can be with his people... My eyes are still filled to the brim with tears as I wrote this. Amazing job to the studio for a perfect adaptation. And the boy's VA is just outstanding! His voice acting genuinely delivered. Looking forward to the next episodes! And so excited to see that this will have 20 episodes! |

| It's like misery-porn but mediocre, we need 2-3 full episodes with "white-boy" to fully feel anything on end. Pretty bad animation and drawn quality plus ugliest wolf ever. I guess world and premise are cool but for now it's overhyped mess. |

| Never EVER have I cried on a first episode, and now here I'm, a sobbing mess. I'm not even sure what did I just watch but it was painful, amazing, beautiful and I'm absolutely marveled. I was so not ready for this. I had no idea what this anime would be like, and it actually was so overwhelming that I'm feeling the need to just stare at the wall for the next couple of minutes and calm down a bit. Best first episode ever? |

| Very good I really like the narration throughout the whole episode. What a terrible fate the kid had to go through. I am so curious about the story lets see how this goes. Very sad for the kid who just wanted to meet up with his family and live a free life in paradise, breaks my heart. |

| It's been a while since I've seen such a strong start to anime. This has all the elements I was missing from the bad written popular shounens like JJK and KNY, so it definitely gives me hope in anime again, although the anime community seems beyond salvation. But it's too early to tell if this is gonna stay like that. With the "real" story only starting from next episode, things can either go downhill or, who knows, maybe improve even more. This is already a strong contender to be nominated for AOTY (not talking about Crunchyroll Awards and please stop pretending their Award matter). But to surpass SNK Final Season, it will have to work really hard. |

| I wasn't even going to watch this anime..but then I watched the trailer and was like OMFG UTADA HIKARU!!! Anyways, that first episode was fabulous and it did things to my heart. |
| I knew this was gonna make me cry but damn - they did such a good job of adapting this that it tore my heart to pieces. It was heartbreaking watching the boy try to stay positive and just slowly, slowly fade away. The soundtrack really elevated the atmosphere of each scene and the animation & artwork were beautiful. My only concern is that the boy's voice didn't suit the serious tone of the anime and I hope that isn't going to be a thing with other characters cause I feel like it'll take the audience out of some of the deeper moments. |

| The ending of episode one just gave me such a weird vibe, I got the impression that the main thing is just some parasite that steals people's likeness to just half heartedly live their life, I did find this episode very emotional and impactful, but identity theft is not a joke. |

| omg I underestimated this...I should've sat next to the tissue box... I mean...the anime synopsis does say that the kid dies and I had expected it already going in but the delivery was so masterful my feels.... And to think that was just episode 1 out of...20? Was so good it could've worked as a 1 episode standalone OVA/movie.....(well it seemed better than the last few anime movies I recall watching) edit: By the way...am i the only one who swears I heard the 'thing' talked when it finally took a bite of that fish? The boy didn't even react to it beyond the "you can eat after all" comment... |

| Mondays became Drama Mondays with both Fumetsu and Fruits Basket being aired the same day. Pretty decent first episode. OST is absolutely amazing but this prologue's story with the boy was way too predictable for me to even feel anything. I already love the whole premise with the evolving orb tho. P.S.: That next episode's PV was way too spoiler-y, man. |

| This series is pretty deep... I already felt ___ ___ ___ What I am not sure is... who the hell kind of "God" or "Alien" or some sort of Isekai maker? was that at the start of the episode... (it's partly Isekai as the Orb doesn't look like it's from "this world") Sending a "orb" that reacts to other things to "Earth" so he can observe it. TBH that sounds like a plot where Aliens send life onto a planet that doesn't have much life and see how it grows over time. (something like "Alien Reality TV show") And why did the others leave the "village" (more like a Tribe of 10-ish people) and only the boy left living there? Why didn't the boy leave with others, or why does everyone leave at same time but the boy? hmm... ___ ___ ___ And that next episode preview... wtf man... now we gotta feel sad for the girl too even before episode 2 is out. |
