Jak and Daxter the precursor legacy, Super Mario Odyssey, Super Castlevania 4, Sonic Mania. I've beaten all these games numerous times (well except for Super Mario Odyssey I've only beaten it once so far)

I've been playing Age Of Empires 2 for the past 15 years. I still suck at it, but it doesn't get boring. Also I've spent more hours playing Skyrim than I've spent hours in school probably.

Here goes the first person I've ever seen mention The Precursor Lagacy anywhere. Masterpiece.

For me it's the Pokemon franchise overall. First four gen games to be specific. I can play all of them forever. I've been playing them since I was 6-7.

I mostly think MMORPG that have a constant update, and different set of experience; can last forever. This offer a breath of fresh air and I won't get bored.

I've been playing Final Fantasy XIV for a while and this is my go to for a fantasy experience. Also I can see Star Citizen being my go to for more realistic MMORPG experience.

The hate for CSS comes from CS 1.x veterans (which I consider myself). It has changed the mechanics drastically making it much easier to hit headshots etc. Basically it is a game that is much more newbie friendly where you don't need too much skill like in CS 1.x versions.

That being said I could play Heroes of Might and Magic 3 like forever (playing is since almost 20 years now).

Donkey Kong Country Series and Super Mario Bros. SNES games are classics that still hold up well today and be replayed infinitely. Sonic the Hedgehog Sega Genesis games are another set that I can keep playing, Dark Souls too.

Assassins Creed: Odyssey can keep you busy for surprisingly long. It has multiple endings, an auto-generating quest system (think Skyrim), quite a few side quests, three distinct playstyles, some interesting grinds. They have a real currency store which includes mount appearances and armor sets, but you can also grind an in-game resource to buy them (a random choice of two, which reset weekly). Doubly interesting because the game actually has a transmog system.

Also Total War games, like people mentioned before. The Warhammer ones have a lot of diversity between races, so that's a fun one.

i personally don't think something can last forever, but csgo and dota2 give me this cycle:

play some pubs --> meet nice players --> more into the game --> meet toxic players & smurfs (dota2) / blatant cheaters (csgo) --> mad at the game & it's system --> rarely play --> back to noob --> play less often --> youtube recommend the pro players' gameplay --> repeat

Yeah, agree :) it is a great game, no doubt. But I personally prefer ... WoW, the game of my childhood. I have already bought dozens of different items for the game https://skycoach.gg/wow-boost so I suppose that I will never switch from it ;)

Fallout 4, Skyrim, Dragon's Dogma, Cities Skylines, and Need for Speed Heat based on hours logged, when I've last played them, and in the case of Skyrim and Dragon's Dogma, how many times I've bought them.

...Basically what I said back in March. Fucking great. I did it again.
