Another great episode to end the series. And luckily they didn't ruin it YEEEEY!!!
Im so glad they did a Usagi Drop with the anime and kept it to a father and daughter relationship throughout. Definitely going to re-watch this at some point.

Latina was talking a bit too much about wanting to grow up but Im guessing that was just to appeal to those who like the original Light Novel's "thing".

But OMG pouting Latina for a full episode was beautiful.

some ppl are triggered cause:

Dale is so young hes more older brother then father barely out of teen age

for me it's a 6 out of 10 because it could have been a deeper story of how an adoptive father protects her against the harsh reality of their world but it didn't.

Nice ending. Though I initially expected more due to the first episode.

Latina's active disdain for Helmine was palpable throughout the episode lol, all in all I found it pretty generic myself. It was a cute story premise, but like Usagi Drop, it takes a weird turn in the literature that continues the story after some time skipping later on. A fantasy series with a similar premise involving an outcast child 'Somali & The Forest Spirit' did a lot more with the same concept, it went a lot farther with it's world-building and character development.

I very much preferred the father-daughter relationship they had in the beginning. Still, I enjoyed this.
8/10

I enjoyed it a lot at the start, less so when they were continuously hinting at going down a different route later on in life, rather than the Father/Daughter relationship they have right now. 6/10.

Usagi Drop 2: Electric Boogaloo
Dale is on the road to become Leonardo DiCaprio
Seriously though, whoever wrote this plot twist should stop buying weed from the gas station

The perfect title for this anime is 'How to Rise A Waifu'
Btw good episode... hoping for s2

Actually I'd call it "How to raise a father". Latina was the emotional adult through most of the show and by being so well mannered taught Dale more than he taught her how to grow up.

Definitely a fun watch. Latina is a precious little angel, and it was satisfying watching my paternal instincts be satisfied on screen.

There are a number of problems though. Even regarding her trauma and determination to be a good girl, it really feels like Latina is too mature for her age. A big part of that is obviously due to trying to portray the "perfect daughter" character, but even so it feels like there should be moments where she's more childish. And I think a lot of potential was lost because they refrained from those cutesy daddy-daughter moments. It's also a bummer how much time she spends apart from Dale, and how there aren't any opportunities for him to save her from danger again.

I am happy they didn't go the Shield Hero route with them. While it's normal and understandable for a child to dream about marrying a parent, it can really ruin the vibe of that relationship, undermine the plot and characters, and shift the story into a completely different place that just feels jarring in a bad way. If they want to do pairings like that, it's totally fine, but that needs to factor in to how the overall story is presented. If it's super wholesome and then gets lewd out of nowhere it just feels forced and hurts both ideas.

I really wish there was another season or 3, and I hope that the LN doesn't go down that route. This is a story about a dad doting on his cute daughter, not banging her. There are plenty of other sources for the latter. I just want this one to stay wholesome.

that was a fun little show. the characters are quite bland but not bad. latinas past and home country was a big mystery and it wasnt explored basically at all which is kind of a shame. some people in the ep 11 discussion hoped that this ep wouldnt be a time skip but i kinda wish we would have gotten a glimpse of grown up latina together with dale.

this show isnt terribly old yet and the score on mal is quite good so a second season doesnt seem impossible. id love to see more.

Latina is even more adorable when she pouts than she is when she's her usual happy, innocent self. Who would have thought? I love how Dale is content for her to remain young forever, whereas she wants to grow up as soon as possible.
This was a beautiful series. So sad it's ending.

Not bad. Nothing about the story or setting is anything I haven't seen before, but Latina is likeable enough.
