| One of favorite episodes vicious is goddamn badass  LOTS OF GAY Spike and Jet break up like an old married couple.  Spike gets hit on by a crossdressing gay guy. And Faye gets hit on by a transgender person.  Could or could not be a guy, so gay. Faye is Gay. And hot damn it feels like Spike is angry Vicious cheated on him with Julia.  Then there is Lin who acts like more than Vicious's bodyguard. Like you know what I mean, he acts like a love martyr. And Lin and Spike have a past. "Are you Vicious?" no... the absolute last words to tell to Spike. He even reacted like Onizuka in the very first GTO screen. Don't you dare diss Punch and Judy... |

| This anime is literally insane, and way different compared to watching it back in the day. Sort of a morose misanthropy pervades the entire thing like an existential dread. The animation looks old and every city is run down, the anime feels hopeless. But it also intercedes with being grown, and how desperate and dramatic that is. The anime doesn’t pull any punches, just socking you in the face. It’s a duel at sunset and there are no roses or peonies. Everything is shadows and jumping at your chances. And the anime is so sad, all the time, desperate lost characters, and it’s so deep. You don’t see much content like this anymore. I guess the 90s were a special kind of boring antipathy about what would happen in the future. And boy, they were right to be nervous. Like really right. The 20th century predicted the current times, and they’re about to get a whole lot meaner and scarier. And Bebop was right there at the beginning. I wonder how people back then guessed what was coming? Ghost SAC hit hard but Bebop is a misery trap. |

| @JeremiahOrange Nah. Faye is definitely straight, she just thought "he" (they) was a guy. Gren seems more non-binary to me than full-on Trans. ("I am both but I'm neither") @RioFs And I think Julia was the blonde girl from Spike's past. Vicious or Gren were using her name to lure him in. |
