| Thought Mirai had a thing for Bright. But if anyone remembers, when Sleggar was introduced he bumped into Mirai from behind and was kinda taking shots and flirting with her, but I think a love triangle between Bright, Mirai and Sleggar could have been a better story and would haven been better overall, still I was enjoying that character. I kinda knew his fate when he gave MIrai the ring and when he stopped calling Amuro boy and kid and said Admiral Amuro before dying, like paying his respects before his saying goodbye. Good episode tho but man wish he would not have been killed so soon and they had developed that love story better. |

| So yeah, at first it seemed out of nowhere for me too. Bright says you know how I feel essentially and she runs off to Sleggar. After thinking about it and reading some of the comments though, it's actually pretty obvious although some of the comments on here really are... -ahem- moving on. When Sleggar is introduced he flirts with all the women if I remember right, he even asks Mirai to shower with him to which she said he'd have to do it alone and then he took the boys and Kikka to get cleaned up instead. So right there, you've got a confident guy who strolls in and shows that he's interested in cute and pretty girls, he takes rejection well and remains social instead of sulking if one of the girls says no. Then, we get him stepping in to help with Cameron gets a bit to handsy and forceful so we know he's not afraid to stand up for someone when he thinks they're in trouble or are right and this is further proved when on Mirai's advice Cameron tries to help with her refusing to see it as anything other than a tactic and Sleggar steps in again but this time to stand up for Cameron so he's not just a simp who'll do anything for a cute face, he'll also call a girl out as well as a guy. To Mirai who's just broken up with her fiance and has been in a frontlines war situation, with her anxiety and adrenaline pretty much on high all the time, Sleggar is the exact opposite of Cameron and so it's easy to see from a rebound perspective why it happened. It wouldn't have lasted and even Sleggar knew that himself telling her that she probably doesn't really know her own feelings. Mirai is still young and with her ex fiance being an arranged marriage, she likely doesn't fully know love from lust or attraction especially when it's mixed in with the feelings from being stuck in a war none of them asked to be in; on the frontlines, no less. I still don't understand those who say that we're this many episodes in and the first thing to happen was Mirai getting slapped back in episode 34 because something happens every episode. It's not your typical 10 things happen every episode to keep your eyes glued, it's what I can only imagine to be the closest to real life we'd get to what that situation would be in real life; the tactics, the fear, the constant improving and the risk of losing everything within just a few shots if not careful, |

Nine and a half years. I stopped the show after the kiss scene, mad, and searched for answers lol. I have no idea why that pissed me off so much but I can't stand shit like that irl so maybe that's why. Wish slapping women worked in my favor smh.
But anyway, can someone tell me where I can find the subbed version. It's very clear that things are either left out or mistranslated. There are way too many awkward pauses in dialogue and/or followed by weird looks that don't make sense when put in context. There was a scene in the dubbed version when news of Garma's death reached the Zabi family. Someone said to give a moment of silence in prayer for Garma. Right after that sentence, there was a cut to one guy (can't remember who) who gave a side eye like he was in his head saying "wtf?" in which made me die laughing.
There was another scene where Fraw Bow brought Amuro sandwiches in his room to eat while he was working on some tech for Gundam. He ate it after she left but there was just an awkward scene of him eating them for like 15 seconds with no music or any dialogue of thoughts in his head.

| I guess those were another era when you slap a girl and she fall in love with you. The Gundam doesn't feel having trouble anymore, it just destroys everything so easily now. |

| Another arc another character we barely get to know dies and we are expected to care, I still don't hate this anime but this has gotten old. Also some one go back in time and tell the writers that you need to build up to a love interest... RIP Zap Brannigan. |
