I'm so delighted Dieter is safe!! I was afraid he was going to be shot.

It seems Johan was a self made monster.

Oh, yeah, Johan is already a 'monster' before being adopted by the Liebert, even before being taken into the orphanage, and even before he even came to West Germany. As Hartmann said, Johan is a born leader, already so clever and cunning at such an early age. It's no wonder that he's viewed as a masterpiece by those who attempt to create the perfect soldier.

Dieter just so happens to be groomed by Hartmann to be similar to Johan, but 1 single shred of hope and kindness by Tenma allows him to see through the bullshit and made a decision for himself to stand up and sought after the sort of life different from what he used to know thus far

Pretty intense but I wish some stuff was explained a bit better and I can't really believe Hartmann expected Dieter to choose him

The kid is safe thank God, so what will he do now with that kid?!
Also the idea of JOHAN being a MONSTER the day he was born is hard to believe, but we wait.

Im still not sure what is mental state of Johan mostly because we dont know what happened with him before he came to the Germany.I feel like even he was born with some mental issues there gonna be a moment when he start to turn into what he is now. For now I dont think he truly belong to any category I dont see him as psychopath or sociopath but in the same time its a fiction so the portrayal of him csn be just mic of everything. But I still think there is gonns be a trauma that made him

So Johan was basically sent from hell. Yep. I'll try not to be shocked or surprised if there are other crazy, evil things he does.

It was a relief to see Dieter leave that psycho. After all, it had to be Tenma who brought him to the orphanage... though I'm a bit annoyed that Tenma didn't shoot the psycho lol.

Even after not being a doctor anymore, Tenma still wants to help and give hope to people in need, especially little kids. Completely opposite to Johan.

That was an amazing episode. When Hartmann slowly but menacingly turned around to face Dieter who was backed up against the wall, that scene gave me chills!

Now we have a new companion; one who will hopefully survive and last more than a couple of episodes. I would love to see a different side of Dr. Tenma and how he handles traveling with Dieter.

This is a very unique story for an anime adaptation.

was so happy for Dieter to get away from that piece of work Hartmann. Really speaks on the times when the story was originally written though because he just wanted to leave this abused kid at the bus stop all by himself lol.

Hartmann mentioned Tenma will not be able to bring himself to kill Johan once he finds out who he truly is. I wonder why
