Glad that they still remember each other but we could've get a totally new anime about how they'll remember each other slowly but this is fine to. great anime 9/10.

I enjoy the manga ending more but this wasn't bad.
So i still hope to get a good adaptation of the last part of the manga someday.

I admit they rushed it. It deserves to have a second season yet we only got a 4-episode OVA which was too short. I still liked the ending though.

A bit rushed but still fantastic. They should have made it at least 12 episode second season instead of a 4 part OVA finale.

Still I will miss this series.

i knew this was gonna happen!i am not a manga reader too but for this anime i actually read it the last 4 chapters and was one of the best romance ending's ever.

was hoping the anime was gonna at least adapt the KaizakiXHishiro ending fully
what a fucking disappointment so 4/10 from me.

Glad it all went well for Kaizaki and Chihiro. Thanks to fireworks. Yoake and Onoya ended up with each other too.
Rushed but satisfying finale. Just think of it as a movie. ReLife 2 with Oga's brother as protagonist?

I don't think we really needed that fanservice ending. Don't get me wrong, I loved the relationship between Kaizaki and Hishiro but it just didn't feel right. There was so much buildup to the fact that all good things must come to an end and you've got to live your actual life now and I was satisfied with that. Am I the only one who feels that the ending 5 minutes before the actual ending was better?

The ending of ep 4 is Button but a little different than the one used in the opening though... Damn that ending version is really nice, better than the opening one imo.

I might be just naive, but for some reason I never considered them forgetting each other when watching series. Opposite actually - I assumed it's good they are both subjects so they won't forget.

I'm happy it ended this way. I wasn't looking at progress bar, so during scene of Arata meeting with new "client" I honestly thought it's going to be the end. After that I kept believing it will be open end at best. Such a nice surprise we actually got full happy end.
Tho I'd love to see all 4 of them meeting as adults.

edit: Ok, I just read last 4 chapters of manga

Good end for a good anime.
8/10.

About adaptation:
The manga is very better, because has more plot and development. Not bad, but could be better. The anime mixed many chapters in the episodes and adapted pieces of several chapters too. Changing and putting original things.

Anime vs Manga. Most episodes have adapted pieces from several chapters
(In order of adaptation)
Episode 1: 112, 124, 111, 117, 118, 116, 125, 126, 128, 168 (The dialogue), 140, 139.
Episode 2: 143(All), 205(The dialogue). + fillers (And maybe another chapters that I don't remember). The ED of this episode adapted the chapters 149 and 150
Episode 3: 189, 190, 191, 192, 193, 194, 195, 196, 197, 198. Most faithful episode.
Episode 4: 211/212(The idea of the chapters), 213, 214, 215, 216, 217, 222, 218, 219, 220.

Chapter 221 and the end of chapter 222 wasn't adapted :(

If they rushed everything and delivered the same ending in the same way - i think everyone would be okey with it.

Same, can't helped it because it's only 4 eps., but the ending felt rushed, unsatisfying, less impact, etc. The Manga Chapter 220 one, the ending
is much more better by far. It's a shame they changed the ending with fireworks one...

Too much stuff got cut out froum the manga, why can't it be a proper 12 episode instead? Feels unsatisfying to be honest. So many emotional build up lost thanks to this.

Well, at least they're faithful to the manga, albeit very rushed.

So far I'm an anime only watcher (will change soon), and I think I'm glad I am because it didn't make it as noticeable how rushed it was. I really enjoyed it, although I feel like they should've ended it at Kaizaki asking Oga's brother if he wants to do a Relife (I'd really like to see him being his support tbh...).
Can someone tell me what chapter the scene in which Hishiro ties Kaizaki's tie is?

I've never felt this feelssss since Anohana it was an emotional ride this I'll treasure this Anime in my heart, thats why i dont like reading mangas because you read the manga you wont enjoy the Anime as much from my experience, thats why i recommend to finish the anime first before reading the manga to complete the whole story

First season was fine, but this... this is just a big disappointment thanks to the amount of rush and skipped content.

Whatever, it was to be expected from the very moment they decided to give this only 4 miserable episodes.

I won't sugarcoat the score... 4/10.

But since I did, 6/10.

The plot line essentially the same, but this is just so damn lacking. It's like watching a recap of a full season anime. The art is mediocre at best; you don't see this a lot, but the manga's art is actually better than the anime! (since it's colored) I mean, where did Hishiro-san's cuteness go?!?!?

So the focus narrowed towards the romance between Kaizaki and Hishiro. The graduation part barely took 25% of the episode, as well as the others getting left out. At least put some emphasis and tearjerking element by including the reluctant goodbye towards his (Kaizaki) other classmates? They look like forcibly thrown to the background.

The part where Onoya found out Hishiro's final trick was luckily included, and I'm pretty thankful that at least at the final episode, the emotional content (aside from their romance, that is) isn't as half-assed as the rest.

Th piano-backed ballad version of the OP song finally got included and it shook the hell out of me. I hope this gets released. Fervently hoping (maybe I should do actual checking of the track listing of the actual BD release, maybe it's actually included there)

The end part gave deeper details on Kaizaki and Hishiro's lives after the experiment, as well as a richer depiction of the discovery of each other, so it's another plus factor.

The way they ended it is beautiful as it is.
Not much to say other than I agree

ReLIFE is my favorite manga, but this? Why so rushed?! Please folks, read the manga! Would have done the manga a favor if it was a new season or even a film instead of this OVA. I liked it, but it did (in my mind) cut out important parts. So, thats why I'm disappointed ... But that's what happens when you put 114 chapters into 4 episodes!

I really don't want to compare this to the manga ending, but it really felt disappointing seeing only glimpses of character development that the manga spent time exploring, if this special got even 2 more episodes, it would feel more complete. Even tho its a fitting ending, it wasn't satisfying for me.

I did enjoy this anime, more than I thought I would (ok some of the highschool bs, mainly with Reina and Oga got a bit annoying, but meh, its anime).

It would have been better to flesh stuff out a bit, I mean I saw someone say that there was another 55% of the story (or something) from the end of season 1, and they concluded that in 4 episodes. I have not read the manga, but that showed, and I think it was a shame.

Obviously you had to take the whole ReLife idea with the pills and memory stuff with quite a pinch of salt in the first place, but I personally found it a bit lame how they had a quiick chat about fireworks and all their memories came back.

I also think the ReLife would work a lot better if they took a whole class worth of NEET test subjects made them all 17 and put them in a class together at school for a year (maybe that is what they are planning on doing eventually?). Then let them keep their memories of the time they spent with each other.

Finally, I do not ACTUALLY get why Kaizaki and Hishiro had to lose their memories of eachother, I fail to see the logical reason for that, as they are both test subjects, honestly it felt kind of like it happened to lead to the "I remember you" ending and the drama preceding it, actually on this point, did anyone find the bit where An cried about her seeing the writing on the hand a bit weird, that whole scene felt really strange but I couldnt put my finger on why. I think it felt a bit too over the top maybe?

I waited 2 years for this. I felt a part of the connection that these two had, and I have seen it all the way to the end and I am at last fulfilled. I was very scared to watch this since I didn't know if they would end up together in the end or if they'd forget one another, but that ending. Oh god. I have had tears run down my face in anime before, but I physically wept out loud when they looked at each other and said each other's name. It was a fantastic journey, and they lives together have only just begun.

Only sad part is that their friends forgot them, but hey maybe they can catch up when they reach adulthood too? Plus Arata is helping Oga's brother, so there's always next year.
