| I learned nothing new this episode. Absolutely nothing new from the first episode. Young Asta was annoying as hell. However, the older Asta sounded much better this episode. Still, this episode was really a waste of time. |

| Its only episode 2 and we already have three and a half minutes of solid recap from the end of ep1 + 12 minutes of flashback. Pierrot already trying hard to make this their new Big 3 shounen |

| I'm kind of worried about who the way they will adapt the manga. If they try to fill the manga jumps in the training time of Asta we can possibility loose the shounen felling of the anime. Especially if they insist with the character development, let it for the author. Also I think that the voice of Asta fit the character. It's irritating but seems reasonable. |
| Hmm... Slow episode this time, they could have been a lot more efficient with their usage of time... but then, it's probably intended to be a few hundred episodes long in the end, as long as they can get people to latch onto it as the next Naruto/Bleach/One Piece. how are people okay with this is beyond me normally i don't mind stuff taking their time (even in shounen's) but this episode felt like it had zero respect for my time like seriously already using like 3 minutes of recap then they spend almost the whole episode on the backstory that could have easily been cut down to only a few minutes ,the amount of actual progress from last week was literally just a few scenes. best part of this show has been surprisingly the animation |

| Here I was hoping to see some action and for the MC's voice to be a little less grating on my ears. What I got instead was a poorly done flashback/background on the MC. His voice was no less irritating, either. |

| Only the second episode and already we have an episode where the first 3 minutes is just a rebroadcast of last weeks ending, followed by 90% more of it being a flashback, just to end at the present in the last 2 minutes. Its like they're going out of their way to make this show bad. |

| Also the villain of the 1st episode is horrendous and is so fucking generic and is just being evil for the sake of being evil and is just there to give the main character his grimgore or whatever it's called. This is the type of shit I see in powerpuff girls 2016 |

| This is too early for a flashback in my opinion. They haven't made the characters endearing enough to have me curious about their past yet, so to insert a flashback so early after a pretty average episode 1 made me feel completely indifferent about the flashback, after all I care literally none for any of the characters yet. Would have definitely preferred if they did enough world building and character development first, make us at least give a shit about the characters, then address our curiosity about how they got to the present in the first place. As it stands, all the flashback did was reaffirm the fact that the main character is annoying and now I'm also slightly ticked off about Yuno. Not sure if they are trying to pass him off as cool, but he's an asshole for allowing the main character to be publicly humiliated in the first episode after they've had such a past. |

| I understand that we need to get a bit of backstory to get to know the two main characters more, but for some reason I found this episode and even their backstory to be a little lacklustre. I know it's only the second episode, so I'll give it a bit more until I decide on whether to keep on or not. |

| Holy shit this is bad ... Not just is the story the usual, completely uninspired, 'underdog with special power wants to be hoka... pirate ki... ehm wizard king', but it is also drawn out to no end by childhood memories, which makes even this simple of a concept a drag from the start instead of becoming this later on. God the directing is bad... The only thing this show does new is putting a harsher light on stuff with a darker colour palette, which doesn't make it better but makes it edgelord material. What a letdown. One more episode before drop. Who knew you could make a worse version of Fairy Tail... |

| This episode is just about Yuno and Asta's childhood. And I sincerely wanted Asta to shut up all the time. Ohmygod. Hahaha. At least, there's less screaming. Waaaah. I wonder what happened to Yuno, though, what changed him. It was an okay episode, I guess. |

| I would have preferred to see the flashbacks a bit later. I mean.. we basically do not know anything about these two.. Personally I believe it's more interesting when you first get to know the characters, see some adventures and later on introduce the "backstory/flashbacks explanations". It feels like an exact copy of other shounen's, lol. But I hope it will soon change into.. a bit more interesting. heh |

| So Asta had a crush on sister Lily since he was a kid then eh. That explains why he's so determined to ask her out now i guess. So the history of this world is essentially a wizard defeated the demon and saved the world from eternal darkness and being recognized with the title of wizard king then. So the wizard king is second only to the king then quite an important role indeed. Unsurprisingly Yuno was seen as more mature and calmer than Asta was even when he was a kid. Interesting episode that did well to establish the backstory and personalities of both Asta and Yuno and help establish their reasons for wanting to be the wizard king. |

| Overall a nice episode, I really liked the message. Asta's fight against the chain villian felt a bit short. |

| Whats the point of dragging the story. Why couldn't they stick to the source material and make every 2 arcs a season. Boku no Hero Academia does it so well, they pump out a season but still leave enough time for the manga to be ahead. This was episode was barely even a chapter and that flashback happens much later in the story. Not everything has to be a 50+ episode count |

| That flashback just killed the pacing. All the build up and then the next ep we are hit with little happening and a flashback that seemed to repeat itself to pad for time. The flashback could have been done in 5 minutes. I really hope the annoying way of talking gets toned down. |
| It was ok. These flashback scenes should have been apart of the first episode. There's just a lot of useless things going on like the random antagonist that, for two episodes now, has no clear defined motive for his actions, and the giant Banryu Asta has to haul around for the sake of plot. This show is doing the most but achieving the least. |

| Backstory this week. Crucial to character development for sure, but I hate that it basically took up the while episode. I do however, like the drive behind Asta - even if you're a loser or at the very bottom, with enough hard work you can be a winner. That's a message I can get behind. OP and ED were enjoyable. Not too happy that we're apparently already headed into filler. |
