| Honestly if you're die hard fan of shinbo/shaft and Nisio Isin fan like me the scores being this high make sense. MAL scores generally are inflated, we all know this, but if you consider that this a very niche hardcore following, it's the end to the main story line with lots of fanservice (not the ecchi kind) & callbacks , pretty much every character makes an appearance in some capacity, and the fact that this fandom is still riding the hype of kizumonogatari 3...it just makes sense. This is very type of anime that leads to ridiculously high scores that confuse people outside of that niche community (much like gintama) but don't run around assuming that because you don't know or enjoy something that it's undeserving of appreciation. It's one of my favorite shows but I'm pretty objective about itand my scores for the series are all over the place ranging from 7-10 and I gave this a 9. My only gripe is some of the lack of consistently in terms of solid direction and production which is probably due to Oishi Tatsuya and a lot of Shafts staff being wrapped up in the Kizu films. |

| I am really surprised it has not dropped after a few days after mass votes came in. Interesting I think I will have to catch up with the monogatari series, already had watched a far chunk of it. Anyway its a niche show in the west and is the like 8th entry in the series so its probably still inflated rating (still must be damn good though). |
| Owarimonogatari Season 2 currently has a score of 9.28, which should make the #1 anime all of time, as Kimi No Na Wa is at 9.26. However, MAL hasn't updated the ranking correctly, as Owari is still at #2 despite having the highest score. Life isn't fair. |

| I just finished watching it and I just don't get what elevates it that much compared to the rest of the series. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE the Monogatari series. It's just that I just can't imagine how much people rated this entry 10/10. It's as if 8 or 9 out of 10 was a bad score. Edit: While this is a great send-off for the main plot of the series, Kizumonogatari is still the best. |

| Locked for obvious reasons Stop making threads about a shows ratings. These type of threads do not promote anything meaningful, especially when you try and say "'X' and 'X' is not good, so I'm glad to see this as the top anime." You're just inviting the other shows fanbases to come into this sub-board and defend their favorite show. |
